There weren't many places to live in the Depthsroot, especially not after all the destruction that was caused prior to the arrival of their King. Khrona, who was that King, and ruled over this land, knew that the Condos were the only inhabitable residence in the relatively small village until the repairs were done out in the open field. This is where he brought his lover, Tsuki, who had fallen from the sky out of the Dusk with the mask of the Phantom in her hands. It seemed like she had something important to tell him, and he knew this to be true when seeing that the mask was given to her. He also promised her a few other things when they got together... Finishing what they started when they'd been alone together at Tsuki's house when Khrona was dealing with some things with the Phantoms in the Industrial District of the Dusk. He didn't forget.

"This way, Tsuki-chan..." he muttered lowly with his hands in his pockets. Adorned in all black, as usual, and sporting his signature black coat, the tired, pale Khrona walked straight into the Condos in search of a vacant room.

Tsuki, who was also adorned in all black with tight-fitting pants and a crop-top shirt, followed behind Khrona with a distant look in her eyes. She was still thinking about what happened before, and each of the previous thoughts cycling through her head. She heard him call to her, but didn't respond beyond just following him, and gazed intently at the mask in her hand. She wondered why he wore it. Just another question for her to ask him when they were alone. Unlike usual, she had a lot to say, but hadn't collected her own thoughts enough to actually say them. She hoped that would change when they were alone.

As she was taken down the hall by Khrona, who wasn't yet at his full strength, he looked around lazily with an almost dopey blank expression on his face and a glazed look in his eyes. "Uhhhh..." Despite his expression, there was actually a lot going on in his head, as well, but he didn't have enough energy to express any of it, let alone to even begin to follow through on any of it. If he thought too hard and stopped focusing on what he was doing, he would end up not getting anything accomplished at all and also forget what he was doing. Whilst he was like this, he was referred to as 'Tomon,' because he wasn't at his full strength. However, when he was once again refreshed, he would be a little more expressive and active.

Whilst he, himself, was more or less on standby, not expressing himself, he wondered what Tsuki was thinking about as he led her down the hall. He wanted to ask her, but he wasn't sure what kind of response he would get, and if it was something negative because of all of the things that happened prior to either of them getting to the Depths from the Dusk. Lord knows he wasn't trying to hear any mess for any reason, nor have to think about resolving it at the time with so many other things going on that he actually was keeping track of in the background.

In a nearly lulled monotonous daze, he cycled through his thoughts repetitiously, droning along through the corridors of the Condos, which also doubled as vacant space something like a hotel in the empty rooms instead of just as living space for the actual residents. Rooms could be rented for a day or for life, but it was all about the upkeep, as it had always been since before being erected down in the village of the Depthsroot. Formerly, providence to and of the land was natural all around and everyone was able to live in their residency (which was called 'The Condos') without worrying about the space for living, but since the woe over the land -- which caused a terrible Famine to the Depthsroot Residents -- the Condos weren't as vacuous as they used to be back in the days of abundance for this land. Even the once pristine and intricate designs of the interior that were once definitive and detailed to a point were vague and ambiguous -- or completely nonexistent at all. He hoped there was just an empty one and not all of them were being lived in, as sad as it was to say. He really did want to let off some pent up aggression with her without causing any more turbulence along the way, as like what happened prior to everything stabilizing with the two of them in the Depthsroot Condos.

Tsuki couldn't help but to think a great deal about all of the events she'd just endured, and also remembered. The things that she'd witnessed in her life and in the one she loved were surprising and shocking. As she continued gazing at the mask that she was given to give to him, she reflected on what she thought it meant and wondered if she was in love with it or her lover that wore it. Somehow, she was conflicted by it, and torn about her own feelings because of all of the traumatic events that she survived. She wanted to talk about what happened but had no idea where to begin that seemed like it wouldn't stir up some conflict or make her look somewhat shallow for bringing it up. He just wasn't ever the same given certain circumstances, as she'd seen with the mask, and she wondered why and if she was in love with him or only a piece. Perhaps, learning the truth about him and all of his secrets would help, but she still had no idea what to even begin to say. The mask's face was taunting her. The smile on its face showed that behind it, the person who wore it knew something that they weren't expressing on the surface, but only behind the mask. She wanted to confirm what she already deduced, but going about it incorrectly would only trigger something else uncalled for, like many of the events that happened to get them here in the first place.

It was too quiet. That meant there was some sort of underlying tension or feeling or undertone that wasn't being brought to the surface -- probably by the both of them. They knew something between them, yes, but the two of them had never spoken on it, and though they were both in clear knowledge that either of them knew that the other knew something, the exact specifications were left widely unknown because they'd never clarified exactly what, how much or where there was missing information or misunderstandings. For all Tomon knew, Tsuki could have easily misinterpreted something that she'd taken in and not ever expressed, forming her own thoughts and opinions that were different from what actually was based on her perspective, alone, and not speaking out on it. This also concerned Tomon, because it could be what was causing the tension because it wasn't being spoken on, and therefore technically was unresolved. He grit his teeth, wondering if he really wanted to release the words he was about to allow escape his lips.

"... So whatcha thinking about, Tsuki-chan?" The most direct and straight forward approach would give a definitive point to start at. Yet, knowing Tsuki-chan -- as he affectionately called her -- what should be simple and straight forward just might end up being long, drawn out and a puzzling mystery for literally no reason except something internalized and not actually because it was necessary nor applicable. He really hoped she wasn't up to no good, playing games and taking longer than necessary on purpose. He knew her to wait for him quite often to address things that were bothering her instead of saying it outright, which ended up taking much longer because she did not express herself. "... You're real quiet," he continued, trying to refrain from saying too much too swiftly, since he knew she hated having too much to respond to because she thought about everything so intricately for such a long time. "Makes me a little concerned. Ya know?" He kept his focus on trying to find the private area for them, considering going to someone who operated the building or ran the floor instead of investigating on his own. Maybe that was the issue; privacy. Lord knows that it was always an issue for him and he wouldn't be able to fully express himself without it.
