PostSubject: Krikor   Wed Aug 31, 2016 3:41 pm

Krikor, who was a new student, completely unaware of what to do and what was going on, would be bid out of the College rather quickly by his Nav-Guide, Tabritha, who appeared as a mass of stream of data guiding him and leaving a trail for him to follow that would visually appear to he and only he like a person playing a video game. By the time he reached the checkpoint, which was where each of the other veteran Pandemia students were, they would already be tending to a majority of the people around the city and getting them out. "Crap, we're late," she said, "But not TOO late," she mumbled, seeing if The Last Sanguimancer was behind her. "There's a lot that's about to go down. You'll need to watch for opportunities to move. I'll help you by revealing openings for you." Tabritha hovered hover the crowd of Pandemia Students that were also patiently waiting, each of them looking toward one of the upperclassmen to guide and direct them. Many of them were not aware of who the figure was that was directing the upperclassmen, but could see that they were listening to him and that he had some sort of authority over the land, of which Krikor should have also eventually become aware of. "Try using your Spirit Animal here. The Cricket." This would help him with his training and also be useful for helping him understand how to really utilize the Veritas and the Game System. "I'll jump in only if you need help." From here, it was all up to Krikor, unless he had some questions or something. Otherwise, Tabritha would be in the background, hovering over he and any important things that he needed to see.

The Delta Townsfolk that felt the powerful pressure pressing down on them suddenly became extremely tense, partially terrified, yet did not move from their place whilst the siren was blaring until they were instructed to do so. Many of the ones that were in the front would be led out by the one that had decided to step in front of them, since they were aware of the people that had once led them before, a long while ago, during a time of terror over the Delta in the past. They were aware that these sorts of things occurred, but unlike before, it seemed much more orderly and organized. They were relieved to know that nothing like the time those horrible monsters came and attacked them would happen again, yet they were cautious because they knew that probably something similar would be occurring again. Therefore, anyone that was out of order, the ones that knew what this time was like would calm them down and hurry them out of the city in the direction they were led. They were pleased that this sort of evacuation was carried out, since they were aware of what happened to the Dusk a long while ago, and did not want what happened to them to occur in their city. They already suffered once.

As soon as Krikor got outside, the ground quaked with an unseen force. Almost knocked off his feet, Krikor managed to maintain his balance, looking around for what caused the disturbance. He saw nothing, save for the massive hoofprint -- at least, it looked like a hoofprint -- left in the ground. He heard a voice telling people to "scour the city," but for what?

The veteran students of Pandemia that led the majority of the group outside the central city of the Delta would now become scarce, with only the intermediate and newer students left behind to heed the commands of the one that the vets had just been instructed by. Many of them knew what was going on, but weren't as adept in their abilities as those who had already taken the initiative to step forward. Still, the beginners were looking somewhat lost, like the Last Sanguimancer. They were nervous.

"We need to search for stragglers," said one of the students that knew of the procedures, "Just in case they are left behind. If we round them all up and lead them out of the city, then it's likely the monsters won't come and eat them and their souls." No one knew how much time they had, but it was better to keep going as they had been and not waste any. "I think it would be good if we go in groups of two or three, and if we can't figure out the numbers, then to just go alone." They weren't as adept as the veterans, but all of them definitely needed the training. "If you see a monster that looks too strong, don't risk it, unless you're trying to save someone." It didn't look like there was anyone left, but one good run through of the city was what they were supposed to do.

After the rather general explanation, the students would all either get into pairs or trios, with only very few, all more advanced members, staying independent. Krikor would be paired up with an intermediate level student that had some knowhow about the techniques of the Soul and some handling with an Instrument. His appearance was relatively generic with no distinguishing features, save for the weapon in his hand, which was also a relatively generic red sword. It glowed in his hand and caused his body to glow as it did. "Come on!" he cried to the Last Sanguimancer, "We don't have time to stand around!" The student started off down one of the alleyways nearby as the large group broke up into the smaller teams of two and three, each of them covering a different part of the city.

"Right!" Krikor responded to the student he was paired with, hustling alongside him, keeping his sword arm ready in case he needed to use it. Immediately, thoughts of when Earth was taken came back to Krikor, gnawing at the back of his mind. He tried to push them away, focusing instead on the task before him.

God, he hoped Yumiya and Tsubaki were alright. He didn't think he could stand losing any more people close to him.

When the Last Sanguimancer had followed behind his partner, they would both trek down the alleyway searching all up and down the area. There didn't seem to be anyone around, thankfully, but the student did keep his eyes peeled, searching through garbage cans and behind them, just in case there were some terrified people.

"Don't forget to check in places that I may miss," the student said.

"We can cover more ground in less time. You never know who may be hiding where."

He dropped the lid of the dumpster, wasting no time. The sword in his hand, which was red, coated him in a glowing aura that grew brighter the more invigorated the student got. "Come on! This place looks clean! Let's go!" He was very fiery, and the aura around him portrayed it. If the Last Sanguimancer looked deeply enough, he could see the fiery soul of this student in the aura flaring up around him, but only briefly before he took off out of the alley and into the next block, careful not to let his partner out of sight or go too far ahead.

The faint sound of crying could be heard somewhere nearby. It sounded like the crying of a child, but no one could be seen initially.

Out in the clearing of the street, where the fiery student had just run out into, he would see in his line of sight one of the Delta Creatures roaming around looking rather agitated, as if it had been disturbed. It wasn't very large, looking no larger than the size of a small dog, but it had two exceedingly large tails sprouting from the rear, with prominent ends that were curled into what looked to be fists. It was a squirrel-like creature, and was chattering wildly.

It noticed the student that had come out into the opening and immediately, in an impulsive instinct, ran over to him to engage him. The eyes of the creature seemed wild and maddened, as did its profuse chattering.

As Krikor trailed the other student, ensuring that he stayed close behind, he heard a faint sound -- almost like someone crying.  "Do you hear that?" he asked the other student.  "It sounded like cry-" he began, before he was cut off by the small squirrel-like creature.  Keeping a hand on the hilt of his sword, Krikor whispered to the other student, "I hear a baby crying somewhere nearby.  Do you want to go look for it, or should I?  Whoever stays here will have to deal with this little thing."

Thinking back quickly to what he had learned at Pandemia, Krikor tried to project an aura of calmness, hoping to calm the creature down so he and the other student wouldn't have to fight it.  Maybe, just maybe, he could resonate with it and make it go away without it harming anyone.  He extended an arm, palm facing out in a 'stop' signal, towards the creature, but still had his right hand on his sword hilt.

The student could see that in this sort of situation, after hearing that there was someone that they had to search for, but already had something that had to be dealt with, would, in his haste say "Oh dammit, I suppose I will have to go out and find whatever it is, wherever it is." He said that he heard it and it sounded like a child, so, that much would help the student out a bit with where to figure out exactly where it was. But, in his haste, he was certainly much too impatient to have thought to figure out where it was before he started moving. He ran out back into the alley without really knowing what he was looking for nor where, but could eventually hear the cries better, and this caused the aura around him to flare up to a certain degree the close he got. Yet, with it, also, his impatience. "Where is it? Come out, wherever you are!" It certainly could have been a child monster of some kind, but whether or not its sounds were comprehensible from a different creature made a difference. "Please don't be a horrible monster..." He hoped that it was an actual child, or something small, like the squirrel creature.

To the student's fortune, the cries that he heard were of a small child, no more than the age of 4 or 5, that was stuck up in one of the fire escapes of an apartment complex, and unable to get down. He was crying, and didn't notice that someone was there looking for him, because he was afraid. He was up above the two of them, with his back turned, and hadn't turned around to look at them.

Krikor kept his cool as the other student ran off, hoping that his attempts to calm the squirrel-creature were working.

The rather upset squirrel-like creature would immediately slam both of its very large tails down very hard, causing the ground under them all to tremble. It seemed as though The Last Sanguimancer's attempt to resonate with the Delta Creature was not going so well, due to the relatively incoherent state that the creature was in. Whatever had upset it had not been resolved, and the Delta Creature, known as the 'Chipper,' would rear up, chattering profusely, still slamming its wreckingball-esque tails about. There were heavy indentations in the ground, and the buildings began to tremble, as well. Weak foundations swayed.

Once the earth started to quake and the buildings began to tremble, the child that was up in the fire escape immediately became terrified and ran up the stairs.

'Fear' came over the Area of the City. Everything and everything in the area was subject to 'Terror' as a 'Side-Effect.'

The student in the alleyway trembled. "What the hell is that!?" he exclaimed, his wavelength flickering a bit as he was shaken off beat for a moment or two. "An earthquake?" He fell down to the ground, and looked up to see a child running up the stairs. "Oh there he is," the student said, suddenly focusing on the escaping child. "How do I get up there?" He grabbed onto a dumpster for balance, then used it to reach the Fire Escape. "There we go." He hopped up and followed the child up the stairs, shouting "Hey I'm trying to help you! Don't run away!"

Shortly after the Pumpkinhead left and all of the groups had disperse, Tsukimiko, who was in one of them, would be out and about scouring the streets alongside her partner to check for any stragglers. She was not familiar with this person, but was more than confident in her own abilities overall to get the job accomplished and to help her partner if the need should arise.

She stood with her eyes narrow and set on the prize, shifting her tongue in her mouth as she panned over the landscape of the seemingly empty city. She waited patiently and looked carefully for where she should go or where something or someone might be, waiting for her partner to join up with her, since Tsukimiko had gone ahead.

Krikor managed to keep his footing as the ground shook beneath him from the creature's pounding attack. "Damn," he thought, "I underestimated this thing." He decided to rush the small animal while shouting at it, hoping to scare it off without having to hurt it. If worst came to worst, at least he'd be in sword range.

The Chipper did not seem to be intimidated nor afraid of the Last Sanguimancer as he attempted to make it flee. It seemed to be too lost in its upset to really feel any other emotion beyond that, and instead took the interaction as a form of further engagement.

Therefore, when he got close, the Chipper would lunge at him directly swinging its tails around wildly whilst chattering profusely. The tails were much longer and larger than the squirrel's body, so it had a range that was greater than its small form. One hit held enough power to knock the man off of his feet and do damage to him that was severe, as proven by the way they left indentations in the ground when they struck it, and caused tremors that were able to shake the weak foundations that were nearby. This made those tails dangerous, and one blow to the wrong place could prove fatal.

The small child that was running away had climbed up to a higher level of the fire escape located on the building that he was in, but was still terrified of the events that were going on. Lost and confused, and also afraid of going too high, the child would stop on the next layer up and continue to cry. He tried to enter one of the houses on the level of this fire escape, but it was locked. He continued to cry, not knowing what to do anymore.

It seemed like the tremors that had suddenly started had also suddenly stopped for whatever reason. The student that was paired with Krikor wasn't exactly concerned, because his main priority was getting the child that was running away from him. "Hey wait! Don't run..." It looked like he had stopped because he was too afraid to know what to do otherwise. So, that was the opportunity that the fiery student took. With a burst of spirit, he jumped up in the air and a fiery pillar boosted him up seemingly subconsciously, giving him some extra air to his jump. It was just enough to get up to the child, and land on the same level that he was at. Immediately, he started trying to comfort the kid.

"Hey, there there, it's alright!" he said. "I'm here to help you. Don't worry, I'll protect you!" He knew that he didn't have a lot of time to coerce the child to come to him, but before he picked him up on his own, he would see if the kid would come to him on his own. "Come with me and I'll get you out of here. I can take you to your parents!" As long as the child didn't take too long to decide, then they could evacuate quickly.

---

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, Tsukimiko's partner, who was a female, hadn't caught up to her. Instead, she found herself in the midst of the street where the Last Sanguimancer was, engaging with the squirrel-like creature.

"Hey!" she cried. "Do you need some help!?"

Like the male who was partnered with him, she did not have too many distinguishing features about her -- straight brown hair and a plain t-shirt and shorts -- but she had a weapon in her hand that was long range; a gun. "Don't let that get so close to you!" she cried out, seeming to have some sort of prior knowledge about it. "It's actually really powerful, even though it looks small and weak!" She fired at the Chipper, trying to either grab its attention or deter it from a direct interaction with her fellow student.

When Krikor seemed to be in trouble, that is when Tabritha, the Nav-guide, would appear again in a stream of data before him. "Hey!" she said, hovering over the Delta Creature, not unlike a familiar fairy known to many, "Listen!" Things seemed to slow down, but only briefly as she spoke. "Yeah, I always wanted to do that. Anyway, you hear the chattering of the Chipper? Try using what you've learned to resonate with it. Perhaps that might help. Remember what you learned with the training with the cricket and its chirping. Essentially, it's the same thing." Tabritha only appeared to let him know of that. When she had spoken those words, she disappeared again, leaving Krikor to them. Her appearance and explanation were brief for a reason, and she did not stay longer than the time it took to explain them. Hopefully, it helped him.

Tsukimiko continued to pan over the area looking for where all the action was. She'd been ready to get into the fray for a while now, and even though she didn't have her Party, and her housewarming party was ruined, it didn't stop this determined girl from pursuing her own endeavors; with or without people on her side.

She could hear in the distance that some shots were fired, knowing it was her partner with the gun. "Over there!" she cried out, quickly taking off in the direction she heard the shots. It was a ways away, but the sound of a gun traveled very far. It would take her a little bit to get to where the action was, but she was more than eager to get to it. Tsukimiko made haste to the location where the shots were fired.

Krikor threw his sword up to block the Chipper's attack, just barely managing to parry it away with his blade. He was knocked off-balance a bit, but managed to keep his balance. He heard what Tabritha said and thought quickly, made easier by the fact that time seemed to slow down. He chalked it up to his adrenaline rushing and kept his blade at the ready to block, and attempted to think and even feel in short bursts to resonate with the Chipper.

The Last Sanguimancer knocking away one of the tails of the Chipper and stumbling left him open to the second tail that was coming in from a different direction, which would do a wallop, even with armor on.

However, his saving grace from the second powerful tail were the shots that were fired by someone in the distance, which both startled the Chipper and also wounded it a bit with the grazing of shots. It retracted its tails with the swift jumpiness of a squirrel and scurried off in the surprise, but hadn't gone too far away.

Panicked, the creature ran up and down the streets in fear, pounding its tails as it went, which caused more tremors and did more damage to the land, making it uneven. It did not run too far up or down without turning around in a panic and running in a different direction in the area; clearly visible to everyone. Its wound was small, but still startling to the creature.
