The Awakening Empty
PostSubject: The Awakening    The Awakening EmptyFri May 01, 2015 1:16 am

(This takes place in this hemisphere, and close to this area but beyond mountain range and the actual borders of the Dawn Village. Just to let anyone know and to set Jaehaerys' kingdom apart from the Dawn Village.)

A spacious room with golden walls adorned with the finest and most expensive jewels and art that money could buy, cloaked in the darkness of mystery and secret. A massive bed, fit for a king and his own, shrouded by drapes of gold and covered with the largest and most comfortable sheets and the most shapely bodies a man could dream of counting towards the mid hundreds. There was smoke that wafted, lingering from the brass incense burners that made the room smell of lilac and lavender. These smells were soothing and relaxed the occupants of this room. All... but one.

Piercing blue orbs shined through the darkness like stars in the night sky, and a powerful gust of wind below the smoke towards the farthest corner of the room, revealing a man, tall in stature and physically imposing, draped in the many arms and bodies of various beautiful women. He looked… unhappy, and began to draw to his feet out of the mountain of slumbering beauties and cross the bed towards the steps that would lead him down to the floor and, eventually, his bedroom door. He seethed with silvery blue energy, breathing this energy as steam from his mouth, as he moved, and hands reached for him, trying to draw him back into the den of pleasure, but he pushed them all aside with a glare, never allowing any of the hands to touch his chiseled body.

--------

A statuesque, raven haired, woman sat in the company of ten old and sharply dressed men, advisors to the king, arguing over taxes and other trivial matters. She didn't look a day over 20, sitting there in her blood red armor, watching over these men that all looked to be older than 70, but she was currently the highest ranking official amongst them and was bored of it. Modana was a woman of combat, a warrior born, and not a politician, but she watched over the proceedings.

"Oh no." Her eyes flashed green before she turned her head to look towards the door that lead into the hallways of the castle. “You men better come to an agreement soon.” She warned, turning back to the men, who looked at her with scornful eyes. They knew how little she cared of their debates and how little she thought of them while ranking higher than them without needing to do anything. Many scoffed, others adjusted their folded hands and their clothes before continuing with yelling their political jargon at one another, disregarding her warning.

Modana closed her eyes, her eyebrow twitched a couple times before she breathed deeply to relax herself before standing and walking to the door, “I say that because… he’s awake.” Then she exited, closing the door with a slam and standing there. She heard the men began panicking, whispering about her comment of their king returning from the slumbering world. They quickly began trying to work out any disagreements they may have had with one another, and Modana began walking away, chuckling quietly to herself.

--------

The man made it to the bottom of the stairs to his bed and began walking towards the doors of this dimly lit bedroom. With every step, it seemed like the ground shook, and the man slowly began to return to true consciousness. Before, he’d only just woken up and could have been considered sleepwalking.

Servants rushed to him from the darkness, with his clothes and armors in hand, offering their specific choices for his dress with heads held down so that they wouldn’t look upon his bare frame: They were unworthy, and they knew it. The man would reach, every now and then, touching the hands of various servants before he stopped right in front of the door with his arms outstretched. The servants he graced with his touched rushed to him, dressing him in a doublet styled top, white in color with silver trim and lining, and matching slacks while expressing their gratitude to him. He smiled warmly to them, even if their groveling was just as annoying and disgusting as touching them seemed to be.

Once he was fully robed, a doorman, specifically paid to stand there and open and close the bedroom door, pushed the door open to reveal the man to the world. On the other side was a woman dressed in red armor with black hair, knelt at the man’s feet with her head held down towards the floor.

“Rise Modana, my God-Slaying Weapon. You needn’t bow.” The man said before walking past her and heading towards his throne room. Incidentally, that was the room that the old men currently resided within.

Modana rose to her feet as the man passed her by and walked at his side, but at a slower pace so that she was slightly behind him. “I know, Emperor Jaehaerys, it’s force of habit.” She admitted, resting a hand on the sword at her waist. Ironic since she never used it and turned into a sword for Jaehaerys.

“So is simply calling by my name it seems.” Jaehaerys quipped sarcastically before folding his arms  and shaking his head. “Only those that are beneath us need to bow in my presence. You are my right hand, my greatest weapon, my only true partner.” He looked over his shoulder at the tall woman, shorter than he but still impressive, and smiled, genuinely this time unlike with those servants.

“Yes, Jaehaerys, your word is law.” Modana said, bowing her head as she walked with her king as another doorman pushed open the door to the throne room and they entered. Inside the old men were done with their arguing, staring upon the awaken king with stunned eyes briefly before lowering their heads, and then their bodies, to bow at his feet as he approached his throne.

It was a chair, gaudy and golden, encrusted with diamonds and other rare jewels, taller than it need be and Jaehaerys sat natural upon it with a leg crossed over the other and his cheek rested in his left hand. With his right hand, he motioned for the men to rise, and Modana stood at the right of the throne. She glanced to the left of it to see the Empress’s throne was still empty as it had been since Jaehaerys went to bed. Feeling as she did about Eshsira, she hoped the bitch would remain gone.

“Our king, we didn’t expect you to wake so soon. Was a 1000 years enough for you?” One of the men, the designated representative and the only one given permission to address Jaehaerys directly since he hated all the others. He was the youngest looking of the ten, dressed in elegant robes fit for the head advisor, under Modana herself.

Jaehaerys sighed, lowering his right hand into his lap, “Someone will soon come to disrupt my dominion. It was a fact that I couldn’t ignore.” Jaehaerys had felt it in his soul while he slumbered. It had been rather peaceful, but Jaehaerys cared more about keeping what was his in check rather than laying with Lady Dream. She was simply another woman and he had many.

The advisor shook his head profoundly, “No, no, no that cannot be possible, our king. We govern our lands fair and without trouble. There will be no uprisings.” The man turned to his colleagues that nodded and whispered amongst themselves in affirmation.

This annoyed Jaehaerys’ and he rose his hand to quiet them all. When he spoke, everyone was bounded by law to listen. “That isn’t what I mean, advisor. The usurper will be foreign. There is already disturbance. My Sovereign Eye can see it.” He lowered his hand and looked to his left, noticing his first wife was not atop her throne. He suspected she hadn’t awaken from her slumber yet, but she would soon.

“My wife?” Jaehaerys spoke openly to the room, addressing the advisors, Modana and the servants in the room. Most feared to answer him however.

Modana stepped forward, “She slumbers still, my king. She wished not to be disturbed until you returned.”

“Thank you, my God-Slaying Weapon.” Jaehaerys praised before turning towards the maids on the left side of the room. He pointed to one specifically, a fragile and timid girl who avoided his gaze before he even looked upon her. “Wake her for me.” He commanded and the maid rushed off without hesitation, causing Modana to sigh deeply. Jaehaerys chuckled.

“Worry not, my God-Slaying Weapon, we’ll be leaving soon. There are things I dreamed about during my 1000 year slumber that must be done.” He shifted his legs and the hand that his cheek rested on. “You may be able to flex your muscles.” He shifted his gaze towards her.

She didn’t smile, outwardly, but beamed internally at the chance to get back into battle. “I thank you, my king.” Modana said with a bow of her head. There had been no during the 1000 year slumber and so Modana hadn’t any battles to quench her boredom in a very long time. She was happy to be able to go out into the field with Jaehaerys again. Not to mention she would have to be around Eshsira, who she despised and was glad she could whisk Jaehaerys away as well so soon after his awakening, before Eshsira could get her parasitic claws back into him.

"You needn't thank me, Great Modana, Bringer of Death. We travel to acquire me... a new bride." Jaehaerys smiled, licking his lips in anticipation of the hunt. He'd seen her in his dream, a great and powerful woman, fallen from grace and lost to her previous power. It had been a 1000 years since he'd experience new flesh for the first time and added to his extensive collection, and this one would be quite the catch.

Modana said nothing, simply placed his right fist over her heart and holding her left forearm behind her back. No matter what the reason for leaving the capital was, Modana was just happy to be able to move again. She'd stood guard at Jaehaerys bedroom door everyday for the time he was slumbering, when she wasn't taking care of daily business on his behalf, and she'd grown tired of seeing the same faces over and over again. He had extended her lifespan well past what it was suppose to be, and she didn't want to use it simply to be a guard dog in the capital.

The Awakening Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Awakening    The Awakening EmptyMon May 04, 2015 10:12 am

“What is that, have you grown tired of me, my beloved?” A sultry voice said from the left side doors as a woman, absolutely bodacious in appearance, with bronzed skin adorn in gold and a crown dressed with the most flawless of jewels entered the room with the timid maid in tow. This woman’s general air quieted the room, where no dared to allow hushed whispers to escape their lips, nor even allowed the simple act of breathing, except for Jaehaerys, this woman, and Modana, who scoffed.

Jaehaerys turned his gaze upon the woman, before closing his eyes and waving his hand over the chair beside him. “Only you can sit upon the silver throne, Eshsira, my most beloved.” Jaehaerys answered, allowing the room to continuing breathing again. It wasn’t as if he was going to tell his empress that she wasn’t his most treasured loves. Modana would have loved if he had.

Eshsira smiled, waving her hand behind her to buzz the maid, who had tagged along so close to her, off before she ascended to the throne. Her throne, unlike Jaehaerys, was simple and elegant. Made of pure silver with the most comfortable royal cushion. There was no back or arms to it, as she usually hung over the side, resting against the body of her most perfect mate.

“Your only beloved, my Silver Prince.” She cooed in his ear as she draped herself around him, shooting the most dirty and deadly of glares towards Modana out of the utmost of spite. The look, of course, was returned and the feelings were more than mutual. Eshsira rested her head against the shoulder of her man, rubbing his chest with her right hand.

Jaehaerys thought not to comment, and turned his attention back to his advisors. “Still, I’m glad you lot were confident enough to run your sections with folly.” He looked to Modana, hoping she would chime in on anything that would have occurred that would warrant what Jaehaerys was wishing to do, but the woman said nothing. He turned back to the men.

“I was fully prepared to execute at least half of you.” Jaehaerys admitted, garnering a chuckle from his empress who leaned up to kiss at his cheek, before turning her attention back to the advisors. “I suppose a reward is in order for you all.”

“No, our king, we couldn’t ask for anything.” The head advisor said bowing his head along with all the other advisors continuously, frantically.

Jaehaerys shook his head, refusing to allow them to deny it. “No, you do. I am your king and I will reward you for your good efforts.” He rose his right hand to stroke his chin, over looking his throne room for a moment and thinking on what he could give these gentlemen for their adequate service. He wouldn’t give them money, they had enough of that for themselves, but there had to be something else they would like.

“Hmm… you all there.” He finally said, snapping his fingers and point at a group of maids that lined the walls, 10 in total like the advisors. “Go with these men.” He commanded with authority, causing the maids to shuffle and stumble over themselves to rush to the sides of the various men now designated their masters. Jaehaerys cared not of how they arranged themselves. He had a great multitude of them, but it pained him to give up anything that belonged to him. The advisors deserved rewards nonetheless.

"Thank you sir, we couldn't ask for anything else sir." The advisors praised before escorting themselves out of the throne room to leave Jaehaerys with the two most influential women in his life and the maids, who served little importance.

"You gave them personal maids of mine, my beloved." Eshsira said with a slightly frown, withdrawing from her reclined position against him and lifting a hand to call any one of her others to attend to her nails. Whether Jaehaerys was emperor or not, Eshsira didn't believe in giving him dominion over her own possessions.

Jaehaerys and Modana both scoffed, but only Jaehaerys moved from where he was. "You have so many and I can easily acquire you more. Your petty stinginess is of no concern to me beloved." Jaehaerys said bluntly as he descended from his throne to withdraw from his obligations and prepare for his trip aboard.

Like you're one to talk. Modana whispered quietly under her breath before stepping to the door they had entered the large throne room from. She folded her arms.

"Bring me something that can replace them. They were so my favorites." Eshsira lied as she turned her head away from Jaehaerys, effectively ignoring his existence until he returned with what she requested. The maids weren't even close to being her favorites, but they were still hers and she wanted something of equal or greater value for them.

Jaehaerys sucked his teeth. "Whatever you wish, come Modana." Before he walked by and pushed the door open, knocking both the doorman and the door onto the floor. Now... he was a bit upset.

The Awakening Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Awakening    The Awakening EmptyTue May 05, 2015 10:33 am

(This topic can be sealed.)

At the highest most peak of the Grand Forge stood a cloaked figure with a gun at his waist and an elaborate helmet on his head to mask his face. Calling him cloaked didn't just refer to the cloak on his back, but the fact that he emitted no enegy, had no presence, and seemed intangible. Still he stood there, watching the city of Irolune so far away on the horizon like he could see what was going on inside the very castle of the emperor. He could and it causes him to remove his helmet and let the wind blow his silvery white colored hair about before he vanished without a trace.
