Water Legend 1; Water Daughter

A man was on a journey, following the traces of natural energy left behind by his daughter, who was now an Aethereal Spirit and also a Goddess. He, himself, remembered a time when she was gone from his life -- a time that he spent seeking to restore her life. Once they were finally reunited, another cruelty of fate separated them again, his daughter ascending to that of the Gods whilst the man remained a humble man. Though he was a Tensei, he was still a man... A man who wished to be with his daughter again.

The Veritas was a strange place, and this man -- once known as Maruze, now Tantra -- had difficulty navigating the rather complex terrain, since it consisted of ever-shifting realms and worlds that seemed to remain steady only for a period of time and not eternally fixed. The normal method of travel now to get to the different areas of the Veritas was through Dimension Gates, which could be summoned to the whim of the Tensei... But Tantra was one to take to his own feet rather than utilize the instantaneous means of travel. He had an appreciation for the scenery of where he traversed and why it was as it was. He had not changed as a man despite being reborn anew.

Still, it wasn't as if he was unwise. He knew that the best means of travel were the Dimension Gates and 'Plexus' points, which were specified points that took those who stood upon them to specified locations. He, still getting used to this method of travel, found himself using one to get to the land of water, of which he had affinity -- Nautilus Serulenia.

Tantra walked through the beautiful 'Valley Of Water' with all its streams and falls and passageways of water and earth until he reached a beach -- a beach known as 'The En Gulf'.

The En Gulf was an enormous, beautiful gulf connected directly to the Ocean of Purity. In this area, there is a coastline beach that leads up to some cliffs on one side. On the other, the beach line extends outward to the Ocean of Purity's beach. Somewhere along the center of the coast, there is a large wooden dock known to be a nice spot for enjoying the ocean breeze, as it extends a fair way into the midst of the gulf.

Way off near the edge of the beach as an extension of the docks is a mysterious shack that seemed to be a house or business of some kind before. It's unknown if anyone or anything still lives there.

However, this is where the man would rest for the day, for he traveled much. He entered the abandoned shack and sat, diving into deep meditation the moment that he had the chance to rest himself. His thoughts gravitated toward his daughter, Meo -- who was now known as 'Meikyuu', a Water Spirit that harbored his former last name. She was the essence of water in this land, yet Tantra had trouble finding her. This is why he sought out the Land Of Water at all -- because of his daughter. He felt her all throughout the ocean, but did not see her at all. He'd come all this way, but he was tired now.

With a quiet shack where no one resided and the soft sound of the ocean nearby, his mind could delve into the depths of its own meditation...

The humble man let his eyes fall steadily into rest, his mind expanding as he did so. Tantra had the thought to search for his daughter Meo here in the Valley Of Water, knowing that she was a Goddess Of Water and probably rested herself in this location of the Dawn, but he was unaware of her location. He merely traced her presence. Tantra truly wished that his own daughter would seek him out once again, as she did when he lost his life as Maruze, but he knew better than to think that of a Goddess. Her work was far greater than simply spending pleasant times with her old man. She had responsibilities that were beyond the grasp of normal men. Though Tantra, being a Tensei, and also having the memories of Shinra combined with Maruze, was more than capable of understanding the concepts of the Gods and the normal people.

He sighed heavily, opening his eyes to gaze out of the crooked window of the old shack and into the endless sea. Reflecting on his thoughts about his daughter's business as a Goddess, he almost had a mind to mind his own. But he ached to see his daughter again, and that feeling of being apart from his family was something that he could not bear. He was a Tensei now and shared the memories of another father -- Shinra Tensei -- but all the same, he did not change his core values of being a family man. He spend several years of his life in search of a way to bring Meo back from the dead, and when he finally did, he died, himself. His times with his daughter were all too short.

Another sigh escaped him as his silver eyes glistened like the waters they gazed into. Perhaps, during his fusion and reincarnation as a Tensei was something he should put more thought into. Being a Tensei. Being a God.

He didn't dismiss the fact, nor did he find repulsion in it. He merely thought that he should keep his humility about himself and be as a normal man would for as long as time would allow... But maybe time was up.

Tantra rose from his seat, finding it best to begin his trek again toward where he sensed the presence of Meo... Rather, 'Meikyuu', now. During her reincarnation, she'd taken the family name of her predecessor and made it into her name as a Tensei, honoring her father and her heritage greatly by doing so. The man felt pleasure in his heart simply knowing that Meikyuu, his former surname, was now the name of a Water Goddess who was his daughter, Meo Meikyuu. With that on his mind, a tender smile found its way upon his face as he exited the shack, stepping forth upon the rickety docks and out toward the pier -- toward the ocean.

The pier creaked under the weight of the man, threatening to give in, yet remaining sturdy and stable at his movement. He did not seem to mind this, as he had faith that this old pier would not give out on him. It was well built for something that was nearly falling apart, and it was actually in relatively good condition.

At the edge of pier where the boards were no more, Tantra stood. He gazed out into the endless sea, silver eyes shimmering like the waters reflecting the sun's light. He knew not what was at the end of the waters, nor what dwelled upon or within them. Though his affinity was to water thanks to his reincarnation, he was not all that familiar with the Veritas as a whole. The World held many secrets and mysteries that Tantra knew nothing about, and some of which he cared not to. He only wished for one thing at the present -- his daughter.

He looked down at the water below risen up close to the pier's edge, the waves dancing and splashing about as they pleased as they hit the shore. He thought deeply about what he was going to do next... And where it would take him. But the depth of thought was not too much in length before he came to his decision. Tantra took a step off of the edge of the pier, and what should have been a plop into the water was his stance upon it, waves passing him by. Curiously, he wasn't sure if that was going to work, but he was letting this watery affinity he'd obtained guide him toward his daughter, the Water Goddess -- the Mizugami.

Tantra remained steady for a moment or so before he started off on his way, casually perusing the top of the waters without any resistance. The sea was not calm, but it was not vicious, either. It had its gentleness to it and its strength simultaneously as waves drifted by. Tantra could only walk farther and farther forward in an arbitrary direction, but a direction that his soul told him to go to. If he was correct, he would find his daughter. There was no doubt about that.

He walked placidly over the waters for miles and miles, the lack of friction from a hard surface making the travel easy on his feet, though he was a seasoned traveler on foot regardless. He rested in the shack before, so the tiredness he'd felt from walking all the way to the En Gulf through the Valley Of Water was taken from him, and he was able to make the trek across the sea.

He saw no islands in sight for quite a while, and by the time he could no longer see the En Gulf's shore, he was in the middle of nowhere standing upon the ocean's top. He was not deterred, but he was sure that if he didn't find an island soon that he'd be lost at sea. It wasn't that much of a problem since he could walk on water, but he did not want to have to make a night walk of this trip. He hoped to find his daughter soon.

"Meo..." Tantra muttered to himself, looking down at his own reflection in the water. "... Meikyuu..." Saying his former surname as his daughter's new name was a bit new to the tongue, but it was correct nonetheless. He wondered if she could hear him whilst he was out at sea, and if he'd walked far enough to where she, wherever she was, would respond. She was a Mizugami after all, meaning she was one with the water. She might have already known of his coming, yet at the same time, she could have been oblivious to it and would only come to him if he spoke to the waters. "... Daughter..." Lost in his reflection, Tantra did not move for some time, waves miraculously passing him by without crashing into him or giving him turbulence. He wondered... And that was all he did.

As it came to pass, Tantra's soul was indeed leading him closer to his daughter... Though, not in her physical form. He would instead be guided out to meet her spirit, far off into the distance, out in the midst of the 'Ocean Of Purity'. With his thoughts keeping him company and his soul guiding him, he should not have gotten lonely or bored, but he didn't have to walk for too terribly long before he was far enough out into the waters where the two of them could be alone.

Without warning, a pulsation emanated from around Tantra, and waves rose up around him, arcing over into the form of a dome, of sorts. Underneath his feet, looking him in the eyes, was the image of his daughter's spiritual form, who was the Souzenryoku Of Water of the Veritas. Only her blurred face was visible, but it was large enough within the confines of the dome to be able to be seen immediately from anywhere. She didn't say anything to him, but still alerted him to her presence, so that he would notice and then act upon whatever it was he insisted their meeting for.

The eyes of the man widened once the reflection he stared into was no longer of himself, but of his daughter, whom he could see everywhere within the watery dome that was made around him. "... Meo!" he cried out with joy, "You have truly returned to me!" The father became overcome with emotion, and tears streamed from his eyes. "Being away from you has turned out to be more than I could bear, my daughter. For so long, I was without you, and blaming myself for what happened to you... And now, we are together, and you have life once again, yet we spend so little time with each other..." Tantra lowered his head, closing his eyes. "I did not spend all of those years searching for a way to bring you back to be apart from you for so long in life, even if our lives are different from what they were before. Daughter... I want to be where you are. Or for you to be where I am. I know that you are a Mizugami, and so you cannot be bound to somewhere like a simple home, but I can be somewhere close to you, and that is what I want. I will not impede on your freedoms, but I do want to be part of your life." Speaking out to Meikyuu sincerely, Tantra asked her, "Please, let us find a way to make this actuality."

The standing water of the water elemental being picked up on all of the residual emanations from the soul of Tantra, which allowed it to analyze his spirit. He did not express all of his feelings verbally, but his actions spoke the gravity of his thoughts and feelings where words could not, shown by his walking aimlessly over the sea on the faintest whim that he would see his daughter. She was not dead any longer, but she was still a spirit, though alive and able to interact with the physical world or take physical form.

With understanding of his feelings, Meikyuu drifted gentle away, with waves rippling behind that would lightly draw his feet, like the passing soft tide. Each light wave would carry his feet in her direction, and she would not drift too far away from him. His wavelengths were peaceful, and they were able to be conducted like electricity through the water from his body, which some undersea creatures with heightened senses and living in an environment that increases capacity to sense electricity through conductivity did in order to hunt other creatures that could not see or sense heightened electromagnetic waves.

She liked the feelings that she had with him, and she was reminded of her time in humanity as his daughter. The two of them had changed a lot since those days, but they were still who they were to each other, despite being much more than they were in their past lives. Their bond, which transcended death itself, would withstand any state of being, even with Meikyuu -- whom he knew as his humanly daughter, Meo -- being an Elemental now. So if he would follow willingly, he would gain the wishes of his heart to spend time with his daughter, walking across the vast Ocean Of Purity.

Tantra took his time to understand the response of his daughter to him. She did not say a word, but her body language -- rather, her wavelengths -- spoke volumes, as he presumed that his did to her, especially since she was a water elemental now. He smiled softly and closed his eyes slowly, a few tears slipping down quickly. "... Very well," he consented, understanding that he was wished to follow her. Though normally wavelengths would have no effect on him due to the power of his own wavelengths, he could easily allow them to do so, and be one with the waves, and flow with them.

His power was of Negation, but rather than negate everything around him, he would instead negate himself, and allow everything to pass through him, as he flowed with it, independently of it, no longer himself, yet entirely it, and himself as it. He would negate who he was to become something else, yet still him, only in that form. Flowing... Like water. "... You truly are my daughter," he praised with humble prayerful conviction. "... Then, my daughter, I will keep you company, and I will walk these seas with you, and we will keep the name of the Ocean Of Purity true."

From this day forth, Tantra vowed he would be protector of this valuable being of the Veritas, who was the embodiment of the element of water, and also his own daughter. He would walk the vast waters with her, and they would spend as much time as they pleased together out in the ocean. Should they come upon an island, there he would rest. But the one constant would be that he and his daughter, no matter their forms, were together again, forevermore.

And the spirit of Maruze within Tantra could finally rest in peace.

As Tantra graced the surface of the deep with his feet, and saw the reflective retention of his own mind and everything around him, his spirit that connected with the soul of his daughter would find all of his children within him -- every seed -- speaking to him within in the same fashion as the single daughter that became of him without. He recalled his days as Maruze, she could see, being her father as he himself, striving for her. He longed and yearned for those days as a man, the same way his father, Shinra Tensei, longed to be the most powerful, regular man. The two of them stayed true to who they were separately, and so their spirit united, marrying itself to the watery spirit that blended all its emanations into one.

Meikyuu was the same -- she was his daughter, Meo Meikyuu, in a past life; the life of Maruze Meikyuu.  And now, Meo was the spirit of his daughter as well as all the seeds inside of him, as well as those long gone. She -- it -- was a water spirit, androgynous and uniform in totality, like the water. It was the water, itself, and its nature, as the primordial to water and light -- waves. The waves existed long before being compressed into air and condensed into water, or even illuminated as light, and this dark spirit given life had been watching the entire time and could attest to literally anything that was of the spirit of her father, Maruze -- that is, Tantra Tensei.

In that, she would guide him under the sea now, once they were far enough out, parting the waters of a calm sea just for him, because she willed it, and granted the same emanance to him.
