Traversing The Universe

Deep within the outer space of the Veritas Universe where the Otherworlds that had either been captured or resided peacefully in contact with the original Veritas Universe rested, a starship from another universe warped into the realm of the Otherworlds. The crew had been searching for other universes to travel to beyond their own and when they reached warpspeed, they arrived in the Veritas Universe... Unbeknownst to them, of course.

???: "Status report."

???: "It seems like we've made it through warpspace intact and arrived in an unknown universe."

???: "Excellent. Let's begin our journey, then."

The crew of the ship was diverse, filled with several different species of beings that seemed to have been living on the ship for quite some time. It was large enough to accommodate a small planet's worth of people and there were those who looked like animals, those who looked strange and disproportioned, and some that looked like normal humans.

Whoever these people are, they lived on this technological marvel that was this space ship and made their way to the Otherworlds of the Veritas Universe, searching for a nice planet to make contact with.

The crew of The Equicon had been travelling the multiverse in search of an inhibited universe for the past 36 years, the crew was made up of 1/3rd of the ships home planet Mebranope, the crew had fled their home planet after a vicious war broke out destroying the planets infrastructure. Mebranope was once an iddelic peaceful place and the people flourished.

Some years prior to the Great War Mebranopes leaders destroyed all weaponary foolishly believing they had attained a sort of nirvana where disagreements were resolved without any need for force.

They were wrong!!

"It's been a long journey," one of the residents of the former planet said to another, holding a young child in her arms, "But perhaps this may be the end of it."

The woman she was talking to -- a cat-woman of orange fur and moderate height -- turned her head to meet the eye of the human woman and acknowledge her with a nod. "Yes, Mebranope has been gone for quite some time, and it's about time that we find a place to stay that's off of this ship." The ship had all such technology to provide the accommodation for all of the people living there without worry for starvation or homelessness, but there was still a bit of tension between some of the Mebranopes and others.

???: "We're cruising through uncharted territory. It seems to have some flourishing planets in this galaxy."

???: "Then let's go deeper into it until we find a new place to call home."

The people grew excited and pleased with the news that they'd finally be coming to a different planet, but the leaders of Mebranope weren't so sure about how friendly they'd be received... Especially with the former tension of the people still aboard the ship in some places.

As the ship cruised through the vast space Ron the ships navigator spotted what appeared to be an inhabited planet some 50,000 miles from there current position.
"commander, we've picked up a signal from what appears to be a inhibited planet"

" follow the signal, arm the shields and activate the laser, they could be hostile"

As the ship drew closer to the unidentified planet the transmission system began to squel and a crack, a voice suddenly bellowed through"

" this is captain Jurgen, your entering restricted airspace, identify yourself and state your intentions"

" this is the commander of Equicon, our ship is inhibited by the survivors of our home planet Mebranope, we've been travelling the multiverse for the past 36 years in search of life beyond our universe."

" deactivate your lasers and lower your shields. We will guide you in"

" affirmative"

"lower the shields and deactivate the laser"

"Sir are you sure? We have no data, they could be hostile"

"Do as I say, My senses tell me to comply"

The crew deactivated the weaponry systems and continued on course. As they drew closer to the unknown planet the ship suddenly began to rock violently then suddenly came to a holt.

"that's far enough, commander your invited to meet our leader. Prepare your shuttle, we will send you coordinates"

As the crew prepared the shuttle the commander briefed his most trusted officers.

" we've made contact with what seems to be hospitable civilization. We will board the shuttle and meet with their leaders."

The commander and his officers boarded the shuttle and made their way.

" I hope you know what your doing commander"

As the commander entered into the new world, he would find that the people were unusually tall. They were not giants, but they were larger than normal, and they seemed to be technologically advanced as well. The first few steps off of the ship would be when he realized that the air that was breathed here was thicker than normal, and it was harder to inhale or exhale. The people seemed to be friendly, but the environment was unexpectedly not quite so.

"Welcome, commander! This is planet Zirkonia, and I am the leader, Zirka, from the long dynasty of Zirkonian rulers." The being was tall and pale gray with large glowing eyes and a slender, skeleton-like body. He was robed in fine purple and two security officers were there with him, each in uniform. "Captain Jurgen tells me that you are wandering space travelers from far away. Know that we are in a solar system that is owned by the Veritas, of which is the Universe you have entered into." It seemed like Zirka was aware of his situation with the rest of the universe, and his planet lived in harmony with the others. "Our galaxy is but one that the Veritas Universe has within it, and we are evolved enough to have contact with other planets in our solar system, which are also inhabited."

As Zirka spoke, the commander found it becoming harder and harder to breathe properly. He gasped for air after a short time, asking through a strained voice, "... Do you have anything to help with the atmosphere...?"

Zirka's eyes widened and he waved his hand to one of his security guards to go get something, then said, "Why yes. I do believe you are one of the beings that may find our air a little thick and hard to breathe. For that, we have special helmets and masks for those who cannot breathe the air properly." Zirka looked to the large ship harboring who knows how man people, then said, "However I do not believe we can accommodate everyone who lives on that ship. There may be far too many, and our resources way too short."

It was a tough predicament that the commander found himself in as he donned a filtration helmet to make the air less thick for him... Something he'd have to come up with a solution to before people got off of the ship. That, or they might have to leave this planet behind and search for another one in this solar system, since Zirka said they were already intermingling with each other.
