First Order; Uniformity Empty
PostSubject: First Order; Uniformity   First Order; Uniformity EmptySat Jan 02, 2016 2:55 pm

The scene was lit. Clubbers, young and old, filled the hotspot of 88th street nearly to the brim, bringing life to the dark atmosphere aglow with the focused neon lights of the highly advanced laser-lightshow system. They all looked relatively the same, having the latest fashion trends and most up to date technology, but there was very little differentiation between any of the people here. If you were of a certain clique, a certain class or a certain archetype, it was clear from your appearance without question. It gave only minor diversity to each and everyone.

At one of the bars, resting on a stool and peering down at his glass was someone who seemed to stand out slightly, yet still blend in nicely with the rest of the scene, even down to the very mask upon his face. It looked like he was one of them, but deep down... He couldn't stand how each of them looked. Taking a swig of his drink, he waited patiently, bobbing his head up and down in tune with the music, trying to get the thoughts of uniformity out of his head. Even if he was here on business, he might as well enjoy himself at least a bit.

The club scene of Zero One was, to be put in the terms of the slang, 'lit.' The music that played was nearly everyone's favorite song; the same one they'd been listening to nearly every other day without cease nor tire, as if it were a beat that could never get old. The lyrics were garbled and a jumbled up mess, but no one was trying to hear the words anyway, which probably was why they were like that, as per prior knowledge of and by the artists. As long as the beat was something everyone liked, it didn't seem like anyone had a care in the world of a single stroke of a lyrical sense.

Even in their diversity, there was a certain bit of uniformity that came from everyone's demeanor, likes, dislikes, preferences and even their mannerisms, all of which were displayed all at once as they hit the dance floor. Everyone looked the same. Everyone acted the same. Everyone was content with their sameness, and shamed whomever was not of their sameness. Whomever did not enjoy the party scene, the music, the drinks and the sensuality of it all just was not welcome, and had stumbled into the wrong place. So, the Dusk Citizens went on, rather mechanically, with their sameness, dancing the night away without a care.

The masked man wondered how long this sort of 'business' was going to take. He didn't like the music, didn't want to dance and could barely interact with these people. His only purpose was pure observation, and perhaps gathering a bit of information about the reasons why everyone was enjoying... this life.

He took another shot. He was up to his head with inebriation, but was more than coherent even so. Still, he found himself groaning at the thought to have to go see just how many of them had the same thoughts, same feelings and same likes or dislikes, and why. Such a monotonous task certainly wasn't his finest, but it still needed to get done.

"... Okay..." he muttered to himself, talking himself through in his head so that he would be mentally prepared, and slapped his face a few times. "Better get into the fray, then..." He stood up, stumbling only slightly from being seated for a bit too long, but walked off through the club to see who would be sociable.

Many Servicemen were stationed inside of the club 'Zero One' and did not do anything to anyone unless there was a sense of urgency or emergency. They stood like statues, enjoying the environment of their stations, and absorbing the air.

The feel of the atmosphere was of great vibes. It was the same song everyone heard for perhaps the millionth time both inside and outside of the club, yet it didn't seem to matter because it was the crowd favorite and one of the top hits of the Dusk. It was unclear how long this song had been out, but none minded it at all. Yes, the club was the same. The drinks were the same. The people were the same. The talk was the same. The song was the same. Everyone seemed contented with and in this, and indulged in it as seen fit.

There was a woman, however, sitting by her lonesome at one of the tables nearest the dance floor, looking on at the other Dusk Citizens with a pitiful and distant look in her eye. Tired, for sure. Of what; uncertain. Naturally there was a drink in her hand of which was lightly swirled before placed to her lips and gulped down with what seemed like a hint of anticipation, yet with an expression that denoted just the opposite. She placed her drink down gently and gazed into the glass as if looking into the past or the future, or even just mulling over the present.

Nearby, there were a group of teens and young adults that were conversing among each other about the good time they were all having here. Each of them wore a similar style of attire and seemed interested in relatively the same things. Their chatter, from a distance, was completely blotted out by the sounds of music and other conversations.

The social scene here was by far one of the best, even if what was being socialized about seemed to be nothing but trivial or mundane things. There were juicy bits in between among those who heard or had seen things going on in the Dusk through the grapevine, but those people seemed either scarce or convoluted in the mix of people talking about everyday Dusk life. There was no clear distinction between them. It looked like a mass of people just trying to have fun and enjoy their night, generally.

First Order; Uniformity Format10

From their 'Superior,' the Servicemen that were within Zero One were bid to get into a different 'Formation.'
