PostSubject: Aftermath; The Talk   Thu Apr 14, 2016 8:00 am

Tensei, Tenrei and their otherworldly honored guest, Fat Chocobo, would meet up inside of one of the estates that was owned by the Tensei Family and sit for a meeting. They were to discus the state of the Other Worlds, as well as what happened to Fat Chocobo's, whilst also figuring out how to get him home safely. Each of them would sit at a long table of crystal, with food prepared for them all so that each of them may speak in comfort with full bellies, and so that the honored guest may feel welcomed in the Veritas by the Tensei. Though they were all sitting down together eating, Tensei seemed to be distressed, gazing down into his plate and thinking deeply, as he did whenever time of distress came. After what he'd seen happen in the world that Fat Chocobo hailed from, he wondered if the other worlds out there were suffering in the same way. The Veritas was more than well protected and there was no concern for the safety of Tensei's home world, but as for the others... He wasn't so sure. He fumbled around with the food on his plate.

Fat Chocobo, who was kindly escorted by the Angels of Tensei into one of the Crystalline Domiciles that were vacant in the Crystal City of the Dawn, was sitting at the table right across from Tensei, himself. Though Fat Chocobo was thoroughly enjoying his time and the services provided here, he was troubled that Tensei looked so down. "What's wrong, my boy?" Fat Chocobo had to ask, setting down his fork, "We were supposed to be discussing many matters concerning royalties and the state of the Other Worlds and such, and here you are, quiet as a mouse!" Fat Chocobo couldn't eat whilst even his host was off looking down. He folded his feathers, waiting to see what Tensei's response would be.

Tensei laughed to himself a bit after Fat Chocobo said 'My Boy,' not being able to help himself. "I'm sorry, don't mind me, I'm just thinking. I didn't mean you any disrespect." Tensei finally began to eat his food with the rest of the people at the table, who had already long started before him. He sighed heavily after a while, furrowing his brow a bit. "It's just that, there are so many worlds that have become like this... Horrible and tainted with darkness..." After what he's seen on both Vescrutia and Earth, as well as many other worlds incorporated with them, he couldn't help but to feel just a bit frustrated that it actually became that bad. He stopped eating again, but turned his head to Fat Chocobo with a strong look and a firm gaze in his eyes and asked, "Do You Know How This Happened...?" Tensei figured if he could find out what started all of this, then perhaps there would be a way to trace it back and clean up everything at once. These were his own personal things to do during the 8th moon. He truly did hope that Fat Chocobo had an answer for him, because if he did, it might help out a lot. He took a sip of his beverage.

Tenrei and the servants, of whom were the children of Tensei and Tenrei as offspring of their clan, would also all be eating their food and tending to their respective duties if they weren't eating and overheard the conversation. Thinking it to be serious, they all listened intently, but they also didn't speak at all during the conversation. It seemed like if they did, they might disturb them. They all wouldn't speak until there was something to contribute to the conversation, or something of the sort. Tenrei, however, was listening far more intensely than any of the children, who were also in their own heads with their own thoughts.

Fat Chocobo suddenly became quiet, lowering his own head into his fluffy feathers softly. He seemed hesitant about giving Tensei an answer. "... My Boy..." he said again, placing his fork down, "... It Has Been Like This Since Before Time Began..." Fat Chocobo was distressed to even have to say that, and he wasn't happy with the fact that it was true, either. "Everyone who is able to overcome the darkness spends their lives fighting it and retreating to safety with their spoils, but it's naught but suffering for anyone that's unable to actually escape it." He turned his head up to meet Tensei's eyes now, opening up his own and staring back just as sternly, "... I'm Sure You've Heard Of The Heartless, The Nobodies And The Lost... Each Of These That Are Cast Away In Darkness, Being Lost To Themselves And The Void..." He lowered his head again, shaking it softly as it recoiled into his feathers again. "... They Are Trapped. We Are Free, Yes, But We, Too, Live In Darkness As Long As The Others Are Also Trapped In Darkness. If We Don't Outnumber Them, Then It Means We're Still Fighting Them."

The Final Fantasy Universe was closely related to the Disney Universe, and through the both of them, very many worlds were already secure. Yet, darkness still befell them time and again, which bred endless fighting. "... We've Been Waiting For A Very Long Time To Be Free From It, Ourselves. Some Of Us Cannot Enter Those Worlds Because We, Too, Would Return To Darkness If It Touched Us. But The Chosen Champions Of Each World, Both Of Our Respective Ones And Those Closely Connected, That Fend Off This Darkness As It Comes, Have Been Keeping Us Secure For Quite Some Time. I'm Sure You Know Some Of Them." No matter what universe they were referred to in, they were all still very much the same. Their influences were great upon the universe, as protectors of Worlds had to have, but it still wasn't enough to go beyond just their own realms and whatever would come within. "I'm Guessing This Same Darkness Has Come For Your World, As Well, Now, And You're Understanding The Struggles We Face Beyond The Knowledge Of The Darkness Because Of The Darkness?"

Tensei grit his teeth at the explanation given to him from Fat Chocobo, having witnessed it first hand in both the Final Fantasy universe and on Vescrutia, and even his own. Though the Veritas was a safe haven from all such darkness, it still attempted to disrupt the order and cleanliness that the Tensei family had worked hard to maintain. None of them were too difficult to face, granted, but it was troublesome to think that there were just so many afflicted, including people of whom Tensei once called friend and family. He had to make sure it didn't spread to anymore worlds, and whatever worlds were saved from it were kept closely connected and allied to ensure it didn't return and that both forces could band together and fight should the darkness return.

"Yes," Tensei said finally after a long pause once Fat Chocobo was finished speaking, "... I've definitely been exposed. Overcome it in all its forms, but exposed to it, nonetheless." Suddenly, he could no longer eat again. All of it was actually literally sickening and disgusting to him before his eyes, no matter what form the wickedness took on. He saw much more deeply than whatever form it gave itself, even if it was something pleasurable, which made the wickedness that much more sickening to Tensei when it attempted to be pleasurable in its evil. He'd seen enough of that, which was why the Veritas was the way it was. "... I'm getting more than tired of it," he continued on, gritting his teeth and biting the bullet so that he could eat his food. He didn't want to be impolite to his guest. "... But the question is, what is there to do about it? I already am venturing out into different worlds, but there are plenty of them out in the universe and I doubt that going to each one by one is at all effective." Truthfully, Tensei, himself, could cover a vast deal of ground throughout the universes and tend to many planets, but splitting his attention like that so soon whilst the Veritas needed certain things secured wasn't good, either. As much as he hated being stuck, it seemed like that's where he was right now. "... What have the people from your world been doing about this? We, the Tensei, have been connected to the Final Fantasy universe for some time, but rarely have we ventured directly into it, until now."

Fat Chocobo would place a feathered finger up to his chin all the while Tensei spoke on about his afflictions, thinking deeply of what he'd seen or heard going on in the Final Fantasy universe, as well. He didn't want to see beings of the Void, or anything seeking to cause unnecessary destruction or chaos to be simply doing as they pleased and keeping people such as Fat Chocobo and Tensei restrained to their own isolated paradises. As nice as it was, it was still isolating, which was probably why not too many people would even think to consider seeing Fat Chocobo in Chocobo World at all. Clearly, somehow, through all the calamity, the Chocobo and the Moogles were pretty much completely unharmed, having their own segregated worlds that existed interdimensionally with the Final Fantasy realms, but also were not directly threatened because they were their own sustained and independent realms in and of themselves regardless of what was going on in any of the other Final Fantasy universes. They were pretty much untapped territory, and more or less completely clean.

"Well, I'm not quite sure how much we can do, ourselves," Fat Chocobo had to admit, unable to come up with a feasible nor reasonable method of resolving the issue concerning the Darkness overrunning the other worlds, "But I do have a great many resources at my disposal." He raised his feathered finger up, the edge of his beak curling up into a light grin, "Including my own personal 'Chocobo's Paradise,' should the battle become to much for you." Fat Chocobo had already seen enough about Tensei, who had not only saved Fat Chocobo's home, but also simultaneously invited Fat Chocobo into his own, to allow him to use at least some of the resources that were at his disposal, since they were both fighting for exactly the same cause overall. "Chocobocolina can tend to you, if you need to keep in touch. Perhaps she can even help spread the word throughout the dimensions. She's very helpful, as a Messenger." There were many of her kind, of course, that Fat Chocobo had littered about the luxury of his Chocobo's Paradise, and each of them were both trained and on call, making any sort of services necessary available to Tensei if need be. "Call on her, and she will come as a personal envoy and escort sent by me." The jolly Godsbird would lower his golden wing, glittering with the glow of the stars and gently shrug his shoulders, turning his head to Tensei. "It's the least I can do, as an expression of my own gratitude."

Tensei lowered his fork and looked up to Fat Chocobo with an expression of restrained awe and surprise for a moment or so as he spoke, seeming stunned, yet before too long, his facial expression melted back into a light smile and a soft chuckle. "You Are Most Gracious," Tensei would insist, bowing his head sightly in acknowledgement to Fat Chocobo, "And I Appreciate Your Assistance In All Its Forms." Tensei had been indirectly involved with the Final Fantasy universe for a long while, even having most of his body bound to it a long while ago. Though this was easily made into his own, the connection through the Story remained as an open channel for quite a long while. "If There Is Anything You Need Of Me, Do Not Hesitate To Call Upon Me In Any Manner You Feel Best." Now that Tensei was in a calm environment, he spoke more formally to Fat Chocobo than when they all were in peril. Tensei's manner of speech and fluctuation of energy differed depending on his situations and who was around him, as well as how much energy there was. "You And Your Kin Are Welcome Here Anytime."

Tensei had nearly forgotten that he was actually interacting with someone that was part of his childhood fantasies, and sustained a fanboy moment, through a series of light laughter to himself and a solemn grin afterward. "And Yes, I Do Know Much About Chocolina And The Chocogirls. Fine Feathered Friends, Indeed." He chuckled to himself, looking over to the wife on her end of the table and smiled at her, then looked away cutely. "But I think maybe my lovely over there would be tired of Chocobos right now, after that Chocobocalypse that just brushed by." He continued to snicker, containing all types of laughter in his head, "Came and went, like a storm, it did." He sighed heavily with relief, fully containing himself and returning to his feast, no longer feeling defiled nor desecrated by being around disgraceful things. "Ah... I feel better. Hmm." Tensei lifted his right hand up into the air and said with a Konata face to Fat Chocobo, "ArigatouGozaimashita~, Phat Chocobo~. ^^"

Fat Chocobo chuckled heartily, warmed to be received by Tensei and his household so very generously. He had opened himself up to Fat Chocobo after Fat Chocobo had done so with him, and now it seemed that he was feeling better about himself, as well, as Fat Chocobo had anticipated. "Hmhmhm, well met, my boy! I was starting to get a little worried there for a second." This fellow, Tensei, seemed to be quite unique in his mannerisms, and acknowledging him like others was not good for him. "Well now that all of that is clear, and you're feeling better, I suppose we shouldn't get too wrapped up in those matters anymore right now." Fat Chocobo would continue to eat his meal, as well, turning his attention down the plate. "It's probably for the best." He'd pluck something from his plate with his fork and peck it from the tip quickly. "Besides, I can't think of anything anyway. Hohoho!" He gave a jolly chuckle again and continued to eat. He was interested in the Veritas, as well, and figured that perhaps once dinner was done, he may ask Tensei about the rest of this realm before he went on back to his own.

Tenrei glared at her husband as he spoke. She could tell he intended something specific and significant toward her, and she would keep it in mind and smirk softly. She was happy he was feeling better, but he was asking for it. She would hold her tongue for now, but she would have Tensei's hide when they were once again alone. Still, she didn't allow herself to be distracted too much from the serious matters at hand, despite wanting to become playful with and like her husband. She maintained seriousness and composure because she was, like him, easily distracted, but not so easily able to return to focus if broken. That is why she rarely diverted her attention, despite how her husband was so carefree about doing such things. Someone needed to be the word of focus when he may have been too far off target, and certainly, that's what a spouse was for.

Finally, when she gathered all of her thoughts from listening to the conversation thoroughly and soundly, without saying a word so that she could have complete focus and all the information, the Grand Duchess would finally speak. "... What if we call the champions of other worlds? Aren't they fighting for the same cause, yet divided in knowing that they are all fighting for the same cause?" She would take a bite of her own food and eat it a bit slowly, but continued immediately after. "If we tell the champions from the other worlds what is going on, and join forces among the other worlds, the Veritas can become a hub for them and we can all be connected and unified in the fight to overcome this terrible affliction across the worlds." It seemed like a good idea and worth a shot, especially since no one else had any real tangible ideas on the table. Something was better than nothing, even if it may not have been the full and complete answer. Yet, Tenrei was definitely thrilled and thoughtful about her own suggestion and hoped that the others agreed, since she'd taken time to really think deeply on these things before she spoke even once, as was generally her nature when dealing with serious matters.

Tensei could tell from looking straight into the eyes of his beloved that she'd caught his playful hint and perhaps later they could deal with that. He laughed lightly to himself, enjoying being a bit of a tease to her. He was the jovial type when he was in good spirits. Yet, the idea that came from her was something of intrigue; something that Tensei felt was actually rather helpful and efficient, no less. "Hey, say! That's not a bad idea, love!" He grinned at her, starting to stroke his chin. "Maybe we can start in Fat Chocobo's universe, or maybe..." He paused briefly, having the slightest thought of returning to the Lost World to gather the champions of that place. He wondered if they were ready for such a responsibility, after seeing what they'd done so selfishly in the past. Were they truly ready to think of something beyond themselves and fight for the other worlds? They could barely agree on how to fight for the single planet...

He dismissed the thought, but not entirely. Perhaps, in time, but not quite yet. At least, not by him. He felt that if their reception to his ascent was so terrible, then they'd feel even worse about his transcendence, especially since it seemed to irritate the others that they were not able to do so properly without falling from grace. Yet, Overlord Tensei was not opposed to going back and taking whomever felt they could actually be helpful and that did not hold ill-will toward he nor his family. Those people would definitely be welcome to join the fight. But how many of them were there among the savages? He could only hope there were some. Maybe they could speak the language of the rest of them.

He didn't remain paused for too long. "... I do remember," he finally would begin again, "Of a world that was like mine, which connected a great deal of other worlds, just as the Veritas does." Yet, that sort of world was absorbed and closed off by one of the people that Tensei was closer to. "... Kingdom Hearts." It seemed like a rather good place to start, if not the Final Fantasy universe in general. "Fat Chocobo, I do remember that the Final Fantasy Universe is like a backdoor into the realm of Kingdom Hearts, and through there, many other worlds. That's where all these Heartless and Nobodies stem from, right?" If Overlord Tensei had his lore correct, this was the place that this rampaging darkness seemed to rest. "There's another realm I remember full of Netherworlds, which function similarly to both the Veritas and Kingdom Hearts. I'm connected to that universe, as well, and have been for quite some time in secret." Overlord Tensei's body had absorbed many things, including other worlds during his time on the Lost World, but he did not venture off into them nor disturb them, despite the obvious open connection. "They may be of some usefulness, as well."

Fat Chocobo suddenly became rather excited after hearing both his hosts come up with a tangible and rather effective idea. "Hohoho! That's more like it, then!" He heartily finished what was left on his plate and rested his glossy golden wings upon his jolly round belly, patting it lightly in satisfaction. "Whatever worlds you have at your disposal, seek out their champions, then! I'm certain that through my world, you can have a sort of backdoor into the one that was spoken... Kingdom Hearts. From there, find that champion and make good with him, and there on I believe it will be fine and smooth sailing." Fat Chocobo was most relieved that they were getting somewhere finally. He was worried sick about his universe and was more than ready to do something about that God forsaken darkness that kept coming back every time they fended it off. It was quite troublesome to have such a force that could regenerate infinitely from individual sources as personal power generators rather than one large power generator.

"In fact, I'm pretty sure they did that one time for my realm, but... That's only one universe that has banded together in and of itself. There are countless others that must do the same within, and then come together on the outside, like you insist we all do." Fat Chocobo pondered more deeply, placing one of his wings on his chin again. "Hm. It may take a while, but if this is truly the mission we seek, then it shouldn't be a problem." Looking at the scale of the project, however, even Fat Chocobo was feeling overwhelmed. "Well now that we have our answer, I guess I'll leave the rest up to you! Ohohoho! No need to tire ourselves and stress ourselves over something we can't deal with right now! Time to live in the moment and see what we can do presently as we work our way up toward the future!" He belched slightly, covering his beak with his wing and muttering something under his breath. "Gochisousama Deshita..." Fat Chocobo would bow his head over his plate and say to the Tensei family, "Thank you for this wonderful meal! Again I say, I appreciate your wonderful hospitality."

Once the final phases of 'Black Friday' had stopped rippling the causality around him, Tensei's spirits would begin to stabilize at all of the discord happening around him. Everything seemed completely and utterly bleak from every possible angle, and yet somehow, for some reason, he was unwavering. "... I would... Ask the ones down below..." he said dauntingly, wondering if he could even trust a demon anymore now that he'd ascended such savagery. Of course, he could return to them as Khrona lost in the Insanity, but no matter what Khrona would be able to remember the Shinsanity and return to his higher restrictions to restrain him from actually using it, so that wouldn't serve them much good. He already knew it was the Souzenryoku, so all it did was serve as a reminder for him.

"No... No, I doubt it," he said, knowing that it was far too soon. This was why he did not descend, but instead had his daughter inspect first. "The Laws Of The Land Haven't Yet Been Re-established," he'd mutter to himself under his breath. "... Black Friday just ended only a little while ago." Still, perhaps, over time, he could trust in them.]

"Regardless," he said, breaking thought, "Only one of us can go because the other has to protect the Universe. I wouldn't want us to be susceptible to the darkness because the other was lost in it for a while." Clearly he wasn't going to send his wife out there, since it wasn't all just fun and games in Final Fantasy Land anymore, like it used to be when they were just kids messing around. It was getting really serious really quickly. "Okay, I'll go see how many recruits OUTSIDE of the 'Lost World' we have first whilst I allow the Laws of the land to be established." He knew that he would have to venture into the Final Fantasy Universe and go into the Kingdom Hearts from there, and since he had all of Final Fantasy, he therefore would be able to enter if he found the correct passage.

"Whenever you're ready, Fat Chocobo," Overlord Tensei would finally say rather formally now, alerting Fat Chocobo of one of his own Royalties in the land just on his own, "Let me know anytime." It didn't make much sense for the Overlord to not come back with his guest when he was through. It seemed best that they go together to straighten things out along the way, so the Overlord, being a good host, would wait to see when Fat Chocobo wanted to leave.

Fat Chocobo, though he was greatly interested in the vastness of the Veritas, of which he only believed this Crystal City was just a small fragment of, given his known knowledge of how the Crystals functioned in the Final Fantasy Homeworld, figured that it was best time to think about greater and more important matters than just his own curiosity as a great bird in the sky and would have to see the fullness of the Veritas later on during times of peace in the Worlds. As a Royal King, Fat Chocobo knew what was best for the Kingdom and other Kingdoms.

"No time like the present," he'd say with a chipper chirp, "We'll see how the rest of the worlds collide later. Right now, I think it's best that we prevent collateral damage from this sort of collision." The Darkness was from many things, he knew, and Fear was one of them. The people of other worlds, be they oppressed or ignorant or weak or anything else, needed to have some sort of assurance that there was still light for them beyond just whatever prison that each of their Home Worlds may have locked them in, or that perhaps a being outside their Home Worlds had locked them in. "I can sneak you in through Chocobo's Paradise, but after that, I cannot come with you through the gate to Kingdom Hearts. My hands are tied to pretty much my own Kingdom, which is the land of the Birds." Chocobo World was its own World, yes, of which Fat Chocobo reigned supreme, but his power and authority and influence were rather hidden and not widely known, which would result in more confusion if people did not know who he was nor what he was capable of. Based on the ignorance of the masses, his hands were tied, and therefore someone more popular or widely known would have to take over from there. "Best not to waste anymore time." He stood to his feet and chimed with a loud "Kweh!!" in both excitement and ambition, prepared now to set out back into Chocobo World now that the Adversary that had come upon it was taken out by Tensei.

"You've Done More Than Enough, Fat Chocobo," Tensei would say with a pleasant smile, knowing Fat Chocobo's deeds and his heart. Birds tended to chirp to the sound of their hearts, and when the Godsbird sang, it sounded beautiful to the ears of Overlord Tensei. He closed his eyes and let his own ears be filled with the loud and hearty call of the Chocobo King, and would chuckle to himself at Fat Chocobo's excitement. It nearly mirrored Tensei's own. "Thank You. I very much agree with your sentiments and will have us back at the Dimension Gate in no time." Overlord Tensei rose from his chair and looked over the table, where his wife and the servants of the household were, and would bid them farewell. "We'll be off now, lovelies." Without much else, Overlord Tensei would pat Fat Chocobo's back and the two of them would be enveloped in a crystalline light, immediately disappearing in a bright flash.
