Oretoise


Turtles, both land and aquatic, whose shells are made of pure minerals and alloys. They hail from Kamegami Island, for the Kamegami is their 'father.' Baby Oretoises are called 'Turtlites.'

A giant tortoise whose shell is made out of the hardest minerals and metals known to man. It is a quality of the giant tortoises that, depending on how deep down in the earth their youth was spent, the composition of their shell, and thus the particular species to which they belong, comes to differ. Spending its infant stage quietly beneath soil, only to emerge upon maturity, tortoises, newly spawned, are wrapped in a thick shell, protecting them after the fashion of an egg. Upon their growing, the legs and feet break through the shell, this being the adult form, whereafter they continue to grow until such growth is arrested by illness or incident. Of their ilk, the silicon tortoise has spent its youth in the deepest of tenable places, being born with a thick layer of fat inside its shell so as to sustain its growth without the need to eat. Customarily living in the deep places of the earth - caves and like - save during the Rains, when they are known to emerge and forage in the vicinity of water. The Silicon Tortoise is still the young form of the Adamantoise, however. The Rocktoise has spent its youth buried in the walls of mountains, thus making its shell take on the rocky composition which it was surrounded by, or even other minerals within. Their emergence is said to cause rock slides about, but it is still youthful.

Oretoises are known to live for thousands upon thousands of years, and incubation time below the earth is what decides what kind of mineral they have on their back; hardness and the like. The futher down in the earth they are born and for a longer period of time, the more valuable their shells become, and also the more powerful and durable the Oretoise is. They are very slow, but depending on the mineral they have on their back, have a great deal of special powers and magic that they may come into using upon maturity. As they grow older, they grow more wise and larger, and their allows/minerals upon their backs grow harder and more durable, changing into something rarer and more valuable. For this reason, many people hunt vey old Oretoises. Because of the wisdom that comes with their age, they gain more powerful abilities and magic as well as the ability to speak after reaching a certain age.

They are known to be herbivores, however their main diet consists of rocks, metals, minerals, etc. which also becomes part of their bodies and reinforces their power. Thus, the harder the material that they consume, the harder their bodies become. This is because they exude a constant pressure within and around themselves that constantly hardens them further and further, and that pressure is usually several times harder than the gravity on the planet, making them beyond heavy and also adds to their slowness. The rarest Oretoises are very scarce, as they take hundreds or thousands of years to even hatch, though there are some that have managed to survive and exist somewhere today. Hunters tell of these legendary Oretoises that will bring them untold riches and wealth beyond imagination.

Natural/Signature Abilities

Munch: Using its powerful jaws, it chomps down on whatever is in front of it and consumes it, restoring its own power. It usually consumed metals and minerals and weapons of others, no matter what they may be. The consumed item's hardness and properties are added to the power of the tortoise's shell as well as regenerates its health.

Heave: Using its immense size and weight, the tortoise slams its body into the target with maximum power, sending whatever it hits flying far.

Flatten: Using its immense size and weight, the tortoise leaps high into the air and slams down on the target with maximum crushing force, flattening whatever it lands on. Alternatively, it can step on something and completely crush it, flattening it down to nothing. This method is most prominent in the long-legged strain of Adamantoise.

Headbutt: Adamantoise pulls its head inside of its shell, coiling it up like a spring. When the foe is unwary, it releases its tightly coiled head with maximum force, causing it to hit with a force able to shatter bones and Immobilize and Disable its targets. Because of how long its neck is, this attack has great reach in addition to its great power, and it can even break through the strongest objects with ease.

Thundara: A stronger version of the Thunder spell, by which the Adamantoise charges electricity within its shell. When enough power is charged, it is able to shoot out powerful concentrated electrical bolts from its body. Alternatively, it can use the stored electrical power within its body to summon lightning down straight from the sky, or loose it as a shock wave of electrical current.

Watera: A stronger version of the Water spell, by which the Adamantoise takes control of or generates moisture in the atmosphere and condenses it around the foe to create a huge, constricting pool of pressured water to crush and drown them. Alternatively, the Adamantoise can take control of water already in the area and use that instead.

Fira: A stronger version of the Fire spell, by which the Adamantoise causes the heat in an area to rise to the point where it can make large spontaneous combustions of swirling fire to singe its foes. Alternatively, it can build up a lot of heat, fire and pressure within its body to shoot out swift, large balls of explosive flames.

Aera: A stronger version of the Aero spell, by which the Adamantoise spins in its shell just fast enough to create a rather large tornado of sharp, slicing wind current that either appears around the foe or is shot from the Adamantoise to follow the foe.

Waterga: A stronger version of the Watera spell, where the Adamantoise controls and condenses large amount of moisture and water molecules to create a massive and destructive pool of incredible pressurized water current to constrict and drown the foe. Alternatively, it may control a massive volume of water in the area to attack as well.

Firaga: A stronger version of the Fira spell, where the Adamantoise heats up a large space in the atmosphere to a high temperature, causing it to be able to create massive and intense explosions of pure consuming, incinerating fire to burn away everything in the area completely. Alternatively, it can build up a huge amount of heat, fire and pressure within its body to shoot out swift, massive balls of fire that make huge explosions when coming in contact with anything.

Breath: By storing up a large amount of fire within its shell, the Adamantoise is able to breath out huge amounts of white-hot flames from its mouth that will burn everything in its way to cinders rather quickly, spreading at a fast rate and covering a huge area with these flames.

Adamant Breath: Another version of the Breath attack, the Adamantoise uses excess dust from the mineral its shell is made of (and/or Adamantite as well) and spews it out of its body in the form of a concentrated fog of the highest caliber. Being made out of Adamantite, this fog can easily pierce through steel and cut or blast through any other material it comes in contact with.

Breath of the Gorgon: Another version of the Breath attack, the Adamantoise uses its earthen elemental magic in tandem with the Adamant Breath to create a sort of Adamant Breath that is able to petrify anything it comes in contact with on contact. Seeing as it still has properties of the minerals and Adamantite of the Adamantoise's body, it still has the power to easily cut or blast through any other material it comes in contact with before turning everything completely into stone.

Quake: A magical earthen attack which the Adamantoise takes control of a moderate portion of land to create a powerful eruption of earth under the opponent to deal damage to them. Naturally, this attack does not affect flying opponents. Alternatively, spires of earth may shoot up from the ground.

Quakra: A stronger version of the Quake spell, by which the Adamantoise takes control of a large portion of land to create an intense eruption of earth under the opponent to deal a great deal of damage to them. Naturally, this attack does not affect flying opponents. Alternatively, large spires of earth may shoot up from the ground.

Earth Shake: By using its own massive and incredible size and weight, the Adamantoise causes the earth in the area to shake violently, creating a powerful earthquake that ruptures the ground and causes damage to everything in the area.

Groundbreaker: A more powerful version of the Earth Shake technique, by which the Adamantoise causes to ground under the foe to rupture and crack, thus virtually removing ground completely. As a result, the foe may either fall into the crack in the ground or be consumed forcefully by the ground itself and then crushed by it.

Stone Stomp: Using both its weight and magical power, the Adamantoise stomps the ground heavily and causes a massive clod of earth to rise from the ground and get launched at the foe at a great speed. The more magic used, the larger the clod of earth.

Rain of Stone: A stronger version of the Stone Stomp, by which the Adamantoise stomps the ground very heavily and causes several large clods of earth to rise and shoot straight into the sky. When they come down, they will fall each with the strength of a Meteor, however not with the size of a Meteor spell.

Roar: By omitting a loud and powerful sound wave from its mouth amplified by the metals and minerals from the inside of its shell, the Adamantoise is able to release destructive and forceful sound waves to push away everything in the area with the greatest amount of force. Alternatively, this attack can be shot out as a concentrated pulse for more focus on a target and for more power.

Resonance: The Adamantoise creates a resonating sound by vibrating its shell in a special way, causing all who are in the range of the sound waves to become both disabled and immobilized by the sheer strength of this bone-cracking sound. Not only this, but the foe's weapons that they are using or touching will become useless. Not only this, but any metal object within range will also become useless and allow the Adamantoise control over them via the vibrations it creates.

Limit Glove: A very powerful magical attack which increases in power the more harmed and beat up the user is. It creates a large grid-like orb that will surround the target/s and take all of the damage that the user has experienced in the battle and apply all of the force and pain onto those targeted and multiply the power by several thousands of times. When user is harmed to the very limit, this attack does maximum damage and will consume the entire area with no such escape.

Matra Magic: Using an incredibly large amount of magic, the Adamantoise reverses the effects of the target to its opposite attribute, such as the remainder of your magical power with your attacking power or health, or from Fire to Ice, etc. etc and vice versa. Alternatively, the user can encase the foe in a triangular pyramid and instantaneously reduce the foe to the brink of life in a moment's notice.

Sonic Spin: The Adamantoise retracts into its powerful shell and spins at sonic speeds, creating a powerful force from itself that allows it to push nearby things away, hover through the air or across the ground at high speed, or bash/cut through the foe and very strong materials.

Sonic Turn: A more powerful version of the Sonic Spin, by which the Adamantoise now spins at supersonic speeds and creates a massive repulsive and destructive spinning force able to take down things within a wide radius of the Adamantoise, making it much more deadly. In addition to this, it can now fly through the air or across the ground at supersonic speeds and break through things it couldn't before with much more power behind it. Also, while doing this attack it can launch destructive sonic booms from itself at its foe.

Power Spin: The most powerful version of the Sonic Spin, where the Adamantoise spins at top speed, at around Mach 10. The resulting destructive force created reaches an incredible radius to take down and force away everything around it, while also now being able to break through any substance of any hardness and durability with the utmost amount of destructive power. In addition, it can fly and move across the ground at such speeds as it spins, easily breaking the sound barrier several times whilst in motion. Now when doing this move, the sonic booms it releases are much more powerful, larger in radius and can come out much faster than before.

Protect: Using potent White Magic, the Adamantoise is able to create an extra thick layer of protective invisible force around its body to severely decrease the power of any and all physical attacks done to it.

Shell: Using potent White Magic, the Adamantoise is able to create a thick veil of protective invisible coat of sheer magical power around its body to severely decrease the power of any and all non-physical attacks done to it.

Reflect: Using potent White Magic, the Adamantoise is able to create a thin coat of reflective magic around its body to reflect any and all non-physical attacks away from itself and back at the caster with double the power, speed and potency. Alternatively, the Adamantoise can retract into its shell and have its magically inclined shell to reflect said attacks for more safety, but at the cost of mobility.

Reflect Damage: An alternate version of Reflect, by which the Adamantoise creates a thin coat of adaptive force around its body to reflect any and all physical attacks away from itself and back at the attacker with double the force and power. Alternatively, the Adamantoise can retract into its shell and have this happen, as well. Both Reflect and Reflect Damage cannot be activated at the same time, however.

Restore: A great healing ability that allows the Adamantoise to recover any damage done to its body and regenerate any broken pieces of its body.

Purify: By focusing holy and divine power within itself, the Adamantoise is able to remove any and all negative status ailments, tainted attributes or unnatural harmful substances from itself completely and utterly, thus leaving it totally cleansed.

Immunity: Using the power of great magic, the Adamantoise is able to disables the ability to remove any increases in stats or power from the user or decreases in stats and power from the foe.

Focus: The non-magical version of Restore, which the Adamantoise focuses its mind and body and causes them to regenerate at a swift pace as long as it concentrates on healing itself. It also increases the Adamantoise' reflexes and evasive actions.

Shelter: The most primal and useful defense mechanism the Adamantoise has, causing it to retreat into its shell and hardens defense to match the strength of the foe. This gives it absolute protection from all physical and non-physical attacks, however leaves it rather unable to move or attack.

Harden: Increases its own defensive power by hardening its shell to an even harder and more durable state than it is at that moment, thus reducing the power of physical attacks done on it even more.

Focus Energy: Increases the potency of any and all of its non-physical attacks by focusing the energy it uses and harnessing that power before utilizing it in a more efficient way, thereby making all of those attacks that much more powerful.

Pierce: A special magical ability that embeds itself within the Adamantoise's attacks, thus allowing it and its attacks to pierce through even the strongest of barriers, such as Protect, Shell and Reflect, to name a few.

Flash: The Adamantoise' eyes gleam extremely brightly, which blinds anyone and everyone that is looking in its direction at the time. The light is so bright that it can even be seen and utilized on the brightest of days. Alternatively, the Adamantoise can use its shell and cause it to glow brightly by harnessing light particles in the air. This version covers a much wider range and also, both versions will cause the foe's accuracy to decrease, giving the tortoise the chance to evade attacks easier.

Absorb Damage: The Adamantoise coats itself in a special magical layer that causes any physical damage done to it to actually heal it rather than harm it, using the power of the force of the attack and converting it into healing power for itself.

Adamantoise

Of the great shelled titantoises, the strain with the shell of the hardest metal is the adamantitan. The naturally-occurring adamantite that forms its shell cannot be manufactured, making the creature famous among metalworkers. They are remarkable for the slowness of their growth, requiring several thousands of years to reach maturity. The type of Adamantitan with the hardest shell is the Aspidochelon, whose shell's hardness even surpasses that of Adamantite and diamond combined. What it is made out of is totally unknown, but breaking its shell is known to be virtually impossible.


Thundaga: The stronger version of the Thundara spell, where the Adamantitan generates and stores an incredibly large amount of electricity within its shell. When enough electricity is stored up, it releases it as a pure, super massive concentrated bolt of destructive and explosive electricity that will electrify and totally disintegrate what it comes in contact with. Alternatively, the Adamantitan can use this stored power to summon lightning of equal power straight from the sky down on its foe, or even release the electricity as a super powerful and destructive shock wave.

Aeroga: The stronger version of the Aera spell, where the Adamantitan spins at great speeds, creating a monumental tornado of sharp, slicing, forceful wind to slice up and destroy everything it comes in contact with. The Adamantitan can generate this wind directly around the foe or launch it from itself to follow the foe.

Waterja: The strongest version of the Water spell that there is, where the Adamantitan controls and condenses immense amounts of moisture and water molecules to create a super massive and destructive pool of ungodly pressurized water current to utterly crush and drown the foe. Alternatively, it may control all of the water in the area and use that to attack as well.

Firaja: The strongest version of the Fire spell that there is, where the Adamantitan heats up an incredibly massive space in the atmosphere to an insanely high temperature, causing it to be able to create super enormous and ungodly intense explosions of pure consuming, incinerating fire to burn away everything in the area completely. Alternatively, it can build up a colossal amount of heat, fire and pressure within its body to shoot out swift, immense balls of fire that make gigantic, destructive explosions when coming in contact with anything and burn it off the face of the earth.

Meteor: One of the most powerful spells that there are, the Adamantitan will summon an astronomical meteor straight from space (or create one if it can't summon one down) and have it impact with the planet right where the target is, probably destroying anything and everything within the given area and leaving an enormous crater where it once was and nothing more. The destructive power of this attack is off the scale.

Ultima: One of the most powerful magical attacks there are in existence, Ultima is nothing to mess with. It can be used in a variety of ways, such as in the form of a beam or an explosion, and has many possibilities to how it is used. As for the Adamantitan, it releases Ultima as a massive, destructive beam of power that will destroy anything and everything in its way, breaking through all defenses and other attacks of weaker power. Alternatively, it can release Ultima as an astronomical explosion of power from its body that will take out every single minute thing that it comes in contact with for miles and miles. Surely nothing to mess with.

Sonic Stone: A more powerful version of the Stone Stomp, but alternate version of the Rain of Stone. The Adamantitan stomps, causing numerous large clods of stones to shoot up from the ground, however instead of falling from the sky, they are launched at the foe at super sonic speeds, vibrating at such a rate that it can actually pierce through what it touches with ease and not break against substances harder than it.

Quaga: A stronger version of the Quakra spell, where the Adamantitan takes control of a massive portion of land to create an incredibly intense eruption of earth under the opponent to deal a huge deal of damage to them. Naturally, this attack does not affect flying opponents. Alternatively, enormous spires may shoot up from the ground under the opponents.

Stone Gaze: Focusing earthen magic into its very eyes, the Adamantitan is able to look at the target and gradually turn them to stone just by having eye contact with part of their body, thus making them petrified.

Bay: The more powerful version of Roar, by which the Adamantitan omits a loud, intensely concentrated deep bellow from its mouth, which is amplified by the metals and minerals from the inside of its shell. This bellow, unlike the Roar ability, does not push things away, but instead flows through and around them to actually try to rupture, liquefy and shatter anything in the way of this bellow. Not only this, but those caught in the effects of it have their bodies paralyzed, immobilized and disabled, keeping them from moving or attacking once they're hit with it.

Renew: One of the most powerful curative white magic spells there is out there and known as the strongest of the Cure spells, but it requires a large amount of power to use. When cast upon anything, it will restore its health to maximum power as well as remove any and all unnatural and negative ailments within the Adamantitan, causing it to be fully healed.

Meditate: A more powerful version of Focus, by which the Adamantitan will harness its mind and body to gradually restore all of its health as long as it is left alone to meditate. In addition to this, it is able to increase its reflexes, evasion, attacking power and magical power simply by honing its mind, thus making it a very useful ability as long as it can have the time to do so.

Disablega: Releases a powerful magical wave from itself that causes all who are within to have their bodies and/or one of their abilities completely disabled from use temporarily.

Health Devour: Stronger version of the Absorb Damage ability. The Adamantitan's body becomes coated in a magical power that allows it to siphon the actual life force of what it comes in contact with, be it by their own attacks or by the Adamantitan's attacks. Whatever it touches has its life drained into it.

"A Variety of Adamantitan so Rare as to be near Extinction, wields a shell with a greater with magical resistance than its brothers. Its destructive Nature and violent Tendencies toward Man and other Creatures - practically Anything standing is its Way - have earned it a Reputation among Travelers as a Scourge. The shell generates a powerful magical disruption field that can even cripple the most powerful of magic users' magical abilities. This field is known to disrupt wavelength and chakra flow as well to the same degree as the magic. It is also has a high magical resistance to add to its incredible durability. When it goes on a rampage, it is known to be unable to be stopped. It's shell's dark energy snuffs out the holy element and brings darkness wherever this tortoise may roam. The darkness of its shell allows it to use the potent power of darkness in its magical attacks, as well, and even steal the light from foes' eyes."


Dark: A basic arcane magic that is only available to the Darksteels, as they are adept in the dark arts. They focus arcane power at their foe and cause a small vortex of darkness to implode or explode near them, delivering damage. Alternatively, it can take control of small amounts of shadows or darkness itself and use them to attack.

Darkra: A stronger version of the Dark spell, by which the Darksteel focuses a large amount of dark power near the foe and causes a larger vortex of darkness to appear around them. This vortex of darkness will either implode or explode with a large amount of power around them, dealing significant damage. Alternatively, it can take control of moderate amounts of shadows or darkness itself and use them to attack.

Darkga: A stronger version of the Darkra spell, where the Darksteel focuses a huge amount of dark power near the foe and creates a giant vortex of darkness to appear around them. This vortex of darkness will either implode of explode with an enormous amount of power, dealing a great amount of damage to them and everything in its large radius. Alternatively, it can take control of large amounts of shadows or darkness itself and use them to attack.

Darkja: The strongest version of the Dark spells, where the Darksteel focuses an ungodly amount of dark power near the foe and creates an enormous vortex of darkness around the foe. This vortex of darkness will either implode or explode with an astronomical amount of power, taking out anything and everything in the area and damaging it all beyond repair, tainting it with sheer darkness. Alternatively, it can take control of immense amounts of shadows or darkness itself and use them to attack.

Darkness: One of the most powerful arcane magic attacks that there are, by which the Darksteel covers the entire area with nothing but darkness, voiding all forms of light within its radius. This darkness, being of magical property, is controlled by the Darksteel alone and will attack anything it wishes as well as try to consume, constrict or crush the targets it has. It is very versatile.

Black Sky: By charging the very sky with dark magic, the Darksteel changes the sky black, leaving it as nothing but a black void. This void of darkness will have darkness rain from the sky, impacting anything and everything with great and destructive force, all except the Darksteel itself.

Blind: Using the power of darkness, the Darksteel will cause darkness to plague the eyes of the target, leaving them unable to see through this infinite darkness in their eyes, or it will steal the light from their eyes and leave them only to see darkness, causing Blindness.

Silence: Using the power of darkness, the Darksteel will seal off the power of the target and disable them from using any special abilities other than normal physical attacks. This also makes them completely and utterly silent, as is the Silence spell.

Blizzara: A more powerful version of the Blizzard spell, by which the Darksteel will chill the air around the foe and cause it to freeze, creating large icy spikes around them to try to impale them and freeze them at the same time. Alternatively, it can create a large amount of small ice shards in the air, release a frosty blizzard, or even a large beam of freezing, icy magic itself.

Blizzaga: A more powerful version of the Blizzara spell,where the Darksteel will chill the area around the foe and cause it to freeze, creating huge icy spikes around them to try to impale them and freeze them at the same time. Alternatively, it can create an insane amount of ice shards in the air, release a frosty blizzard, or even a massive beam of freezing, icy magic itself

Quakeja: The most powerful Quake spell there is, the Long Gui will use its massive weight and power to cause the entire ground to erupt, crack, quake and rupture, dealing damage to anything and everything around it. Alternatively, it will cause huge earthen spikes to shoot up from everywhere on the land, impaling and destroying everything.

Doom: Harnessing the power of death itself, the Long Gui will curse the target with a death sentence by chanting a magical curse that must touch the opponent first. However, in recent years, they have suddenly appeared, and are feared in some regions as the Blade Biter. The Thalassinon genus is the oldest known Emeralditan in existence, and as such their shell's value and hardness has gone up exponentially more than a normal Emeralditan. They are very rarely seen, however. The oldest chronicles relate the properties of a rare metal called scarletite. In an age when men lived under the watchful guard of the gods, the gods granted them scarletite, for they were favored of their creators. Modern alchemy has to date failed to reproduce this metal, lending credit to the theory that the gods did exist, and are not merely the inventions of a devout imagination. Only by mixing other metals and lowering the purity of this substance may it be worked with modern tools."
