The $yndicate Chapter 7; Veritas Security System

A Dimension Gate tore open within the bowels of the Testament Palace, near the gateway to the Data Realm. The Dark Messenger for the $yndicate emerged from it directly before one of the lords of the realm, Protocol, one of the Data Branch of the $yndicate. "Good day, Protocol!" greeted the Dark Messenger with crazed cheer, "I suppose it's finally time to put an end to this and start up the system for real, huh?" The Dark Messenger chuckled, patting the very tall entity.

Protocol -- also known as Lord Protocol -- was a tall, virtual entity that had large arms, and the same such arms on its head like long rabbit ears, and a pair on its back, which were like wings. It had a very long tail with a bladed edge, and digital circuits surging across its body. Lord Protocol was the enforcer of algorithms on the Veritas. It has command over all Protocol, and is typically only used by the Judgemaster, or else is simply existing within the boundaries of the extensiveness of the Veritas Algorithm and Veritas System. It creates pure code with its several arms and can sever pure data with its tail. It thinks only in Logic and functions always within the Law.

Dark Messenger: "Well, better not dillydally. Let's get this show on the road!"

The Dark Messenger would initiate the 'Dark Messenger' protocol for Lord Protocol to carry out, then depart, letting Lord Protocol handle the startup of the Veritas Security System, and the completion of the $yndicate.

With dominion signed over to Lord Protocol, it would immediately initiate the Dark Messenger sequence that would alert the entirety of the Veritas about the Security System being enacted, and how it would settle in algorithm. The Argus Card System and the Data Branch of the $yndicate would unify, and Lord Protocol placed in the system the $yndicate Card which would initialize all of the other Data Branch members to do their parts in upholding and securing the Security System, the $yndicate, and all the Veritas.

The algorithm was set into motion with Lord Protocol activating the systems, and with that done, the Chomao, who were the envoys of the Security System, were released all about. Many of them resembled the original form of Cleff, who was now Tabrynth, as Technology Sprites, but those were the Shincleffs of the Veritas Security System, and were not like the regular Chomao that were distributed to Players of the Veritas or anyone else who should wish for a Chomao companion. They were specifically dedicated to the purposes of the Veritas and the System, and were the offspring of Cleff, who is now Tabrynth-Cleff (T-CLEFF).

There was a Chomao for everything: Every element, every setting, every location, every attribute, every niche, every class -- every everything. If there was something that could be given a definite description, there was a Chomao for it, and even those for that which had no description. So what they lacked in power, they made up for in number and versatility, making them perfect vessels for carrying out any such process necessary. Being able to transition from virtual beings to any other state of information necessary, there was virtually nothing that they couldn't get into, and the Chomao could protect everything within the Veritas' grasp and the Veritas itself.

Whilst most of the Chomao went out about their natural orders, some followed a very specific protocol that led them deeper into the system instead of out into the Veritas to spread and establish the Security System. Others still went elsewhere, but those that went to the system seemed to be following the codes that would lead them to the heart of it...

Each of the little programs that the Technology Sprites hosted and followed would lead them down the algorithm to their destination -- a secret place within the Veritas System. There was a large gateway and also a tall, fanciful man that had a large clock as his legs. One of his arms was robotic, and he carried a large metal mallet. His suit was striped and purple, with a matching tophat that had a smiling face and bonbon on it. "Ah, very good!" praised the strange entity standing before the gateway, "The system is initialized! This must mean that Lord Protocol has done his business and the lower branches of the $yndicate have secured all of the mainland." The Chomao present before this being would be graced by his praise, before he adjusted his monocle and slammed the metal hammer upon the gateway.

A temporal flux reverberated from the stricken spot, powering up the gateway with temporal and virtual energy. A different pathway was suddenly connected and revealed, allowing for the algorithm to play out an extension to the code that fit into the protocol. "Very well, little babies! Complete your purpose by walking into this virtual Dimension Gate. You will be sent where you need to go to and before whomever you need to see." The mystery entity donned an eternal somber grin, but did not speak his name. The Chomao should have already known him.

The 'Default' settings of the Chomao activated automatically, causing them to complete their respective protocols as per their programming, which was also partially inspired by their own freewill. They flooded the gateway in unnumerable amounts, pouring into it and through any and every possible outcome wherein which their respective singular existences would prove purposeful in some fashion as by design. They would fall into place as they should, whether noticed or not, and affix themselves to whatever entity they should so require and not leave them until the job was complete.

The $yndicate protocol that made up the Veritas Security System and also bound together the lower branches of the $yndicate and also established the $yndicate all across the Veritas Dimension through the Grand Tabrynth Dimensional Nexus would be initialized through the Dark Network, which was a secret forbidden hidden protocol that functioned on a shadow of an algorithm and the ghost of a code that still ran on even without any input. It was as mysterious as the name suggested, but was also considered an active part of the $yndicate. It even had extensions in the Data Realm, where the Data Branch of the $yndicate operated exclusively.

Each Chomao was assisted by a navigation protocol for them to follow.
