Blood Biters



A race of bats and bat people. The Blood Biters are generally typical bats; those that rely on echolocation to find their prey and are incredibly perceptive when it comes to sensing through sound. Most are blind. They are large and able to drain a normal person dry of all their blood in a single gulp, and they tend to flock together in large groups, making them deadly to entire villages. When they flood the skies in dark clouds, they are said to be omens of impending doom, as when they are hungry, they will leave their caves and feast upon anything they can.

They are normally very adept at controlling sound, typically having sound based abilities. Their screeches are fabled to have the power to shatter or liquefy solid objects, depending on the power, as well as cause hallucinations and disorient their prey so that they do not escape when they attack. This makes their sonic waves very deadly and useful for immobilization. They are also known to feed on chakra and other energy sources instead of just blood, making them a hazard to those who use jutsu and magic users alike. They are typically a threat to everything and everyone. They are normally nocturnal and hate the light of day, and because of how little food they get, they sleep for very long periods of time without waking up. When undisturbed, they can sleep for years. However, due to their incredible ears they can hear when others enter their territory, and when they awaken, they are known to swarm. If they are hungry when they are awoken, they will leave their caves regardless of the time of day and feast until they are full, then go back to sleep.

In the past, they were the faithful companions of the Blood Witches, who were able to feed them indefinitely with their Blood Magic. Because of this, a majority of them can be found fluttering around the Darkness Lands in the Witch Province, blended in perfectly with the dark skies.

Werebats are winged monster girls which prefer caves and darkness. In low light they are sadistic and assertive, and a pitch-black gang-rape by a werebat swarm is a fate which awaits those who wander into their lairs. In sunlight, their attitude switches entirely, and they become the frightened ones: their quivering, defenseless attitude often proving irresistible for getting men to rape them.

Beastmen with bat-like features that live in caves and other dark places. They hang upside down from the ceiling, in places with limited visibility and patiently wait for travelers to pass by. When one spots a human man who strikes her fancy, a Werebat will dive from out of the darkness, knock him down and forcibly mount him. Sadistic by nature, a Werebat will respond to resistance or pleading by escalating the violence of the rape, while grinning lasciviously and maliciously.


In the dark she would rape a man cowgirl position, but in a bright place she quivers and becomes submissive.
When multiple individuals are occupying the same space, their loud moaning and gasping will highly arouse the others, causing all of them to swarm the man. As if in a mad scramble for a single treat, they swoop down from the ceiling in a rush, to taste the man's body; licking, rubbing and teasing. Once a man ejaculates inside one of them, in the next moment a new one will mount him and begin rocking her hips. Since the frenzied orgy takes place in total darkness, the man will not be able to confirm how many of them there are, nor will he be able to tell which Werebat is violating him. It likely feels to him as though the pleasure is continuing forever. In this way, Werebats are highly ferocious, but they are vulnerable to light. If brought into a brightly lit area, they turn cowardly and are effectively helpless. However, even if brought to a brightly lit area, they do not flee from human men. Instead a Werebat would be afraid of everything other than the man. Seeking a man's aid, a Werebat will cling to his body and try to hide in his shadow. At this time, a Werebat will appear to be a nervous wreck.

Unlike when they violate men in the darkness, they do not give off a lewd or sadistic impression; on the contrary, a man may be tempted to do something sadistic to them instead. As if to urge it on, a Werebat will nestle close and push every part of her trembling female body against the man.

Their instincts tell them to seek sex with men, even in these circumstances. If a Werebat has sex with a man at such a time, then not only will she no longer be afraid, she will even be able to feel as relaxed as she would be in the dark, due to the pleasure and warmth provided by the man.

Night Vision: Due to being a nocturnal species who generally hunt during the night, Vampire Bats like other Vampires have excellent night vision.
Blood Sucking: As a type of Vampire, her digestive system is underdeveloped and can only digest liquids. She therefore has to drink blood for nourishment.
Weakness: As a Vampire Bat she most likely has the same weakness as other Vampires, mean Pirati is sensitive to sunlight and UV light, and is allergic to garlic and silver.
Flight: Similar to Harpies, instead of hands Pirati has bat like wings. She has enough strength in them to glide or fly.

The Vampire Bat is a humanoid species that shares a lot of similarities with bats and the Vampire species.

Although sharing the vampire's aversion to sunlight and their possession of fangs for sucking the blood of other beings, Vampire Bats can survive on other liquids aside from blood, possess shorter wings and fangs, and are generally more timid in nature than their predatory cousins (although they are thought to be more confident in environments that lack sunlight). And just like Vampires, they possess wings as hands.

Weapons

Talons - Long hooked talons on their feet and hands for firmly hooking their prey, trees and stalactites within caves. They use them to scratch their fos.

Wings - Strong, large wings used to fly and create powerful gusts. Sometimes are used offensively.

Fangs - Long, vampiric fangs that function as syringes to puncture and draw energy (blood) from living beings. They use them to gnaw on their foes.


Natural/Signature Abilities

Night Veil: Spreads or covers an area with a trail of pure darkness emanating from the wings. The darkness acts as a barrier to all light and will eat away at one's eyesight if they are within it for too long. It is a haunting darkness that will remain once it begins contamination of the eyes. (Blind)

Feast: With its fangs, it will suck the blood of its target dry to restore its health.

Absorb: With its fangs or gaping mouth, it will suck the energy (magic, chakra, etc) of its target dry to restore its own energy.

Consume: With its fangs or gaping mouth, it will suck the life force (blood, energy, etc.) of its target dry to restore its own energy.

Blithering Scream: The cry of excitement for when they spot prey or are about to feast. This supersonic scream can cause paralysis and mental disorientation by throwing off equilibrium and altering one's perception. It is used to both immobilize their prey and cause them to be unsuspecting of their doom so that they cannot fight back. (Confuse, Paralysis)

Leech: Launches a fang at its target that, if contact is made, will work as a siphoning tool to directly drain energy an life essence from one who is afflicted directly into the Vampire Bat.

Deadly Shriek: Its cry of anger, threat and offense. It will concentrate the supersonic vibrations that come from its mouth to such a high degree that they distort the air around them. This vibrational strength has the power to utterly liquefy or even shatter solid objects.

Energy Blast: They are able to regurgitate energy of their own or that they have siphoned from another source and condense it into visible form before spewing it from their mouths at high speed. Whatever source they have consumed from, the energy will take the property of what was absorbed by them. Overuse depletes their reserves, however.


Vampire Bat Info

Blood Biters that are either born this way or are bats influenced by the bite of a Vampire, or a human influenced by the bite of a Werebat. Their thirst for blood exceeds even a Vampire's, as they are an instinctual race that follow their stomachs over their minds. Like all 'were' creatures, they have three forms; Human-like, Animal and Hybrid. They and particular beastkin known as 'Weres' are able to change others into one of them through physical contact, be it a scratch, a bite, etc.

They are avian creatures possessed of clawed hands and a deep purple hue as though it were cut from the dark cloth of night. They tend to live in dark places, feeding on the life force of other monstrosities. It is known to modern natural philosophers that they are not 'guided through the black by the devil's hand' as was once suggested, but instead that they employ a cry of such high pitch that it is silent to human ears, and by its echoing do they navigate with uncanny precision. They can, however, still lower the frequency to that of which Humans can hear, and can actually match their vocals to any pitch and frequency, making them very useful for listening tools. It is a peculiarity of their kind that they hunt often in packs, whence comes our expression 'Wings o' leather, flock together.'"

Their bodies cloaked in fine fur of variable colors, and favoring darkness to the light of day. Known to employ shrieks of an extremely high pitch as a means to navigate in the gloom, as well as to deprive potential prey of their sense of direction, a more conventional approach being used thereafter to deprive them of their lives. Mainly feeding upon smaller creatures, but known to attack larger foes in packs on occasion, giving rise to the extraordinary sight of a flight of fine winged creatures speckled crimson with fresh blood. Should the fur be rich and even in its length and set, the wing becomes even more beautiful - a perfect work of art. To the trained eye of the collector, its value is beyond question.

They are common for hanging upside down, especially upon the ceilings of caves where no one can readily see them. They are excellent spies that will lay in perfect silence and listen for any and all sounds, their ears being receptive enough to pick up even the tiniest, and then decipher which one is which no matter how much is going on. This echolocation is what allows them to navigate with such accuracy, as if they can actually see what is going on. When they catch the sound of their prey, they will dive down from the darkness silently and snatch them up, feeding on them through the skies, or biting the necks of those too large to carry. When hit by the light, they become cowardly and weak, just as a normal Vampire.

Redmaw

A variety of Blood Biter whose body is covered in hard scales like to those of a dragon. It prefers to make its home is dry underground caverns. The name of 'redmaw' comes from the fact that the creature's mouth is ever painted crimson with the drinking of its victims' blood. Its vampiric bite delivers a numbing venom sufficient to kill even the largest of fiends, should its fangs go deep enough.

Bloodwing

A variety of Blood Biter, transformed into a voracious Drinker of Blood over time. Those whom it latches onto are said to be drained to the last Drop. Their wings are crimson of unsurpassing beauty, preferring to make their abode in mines and underground chambers. Their wings are composed of a tough metallic substance, and by their patterns can males and females be distinguished. It is generally held that the patterning of the females is more beautiful, lending the wings much popularity as ornamentation on airships, the male's, meanwhile, being considered ill-favored, and shunned as a sign of bad luck. Their fangs are known to be rather potent ingredients in wards and charms, and, apparently, not just any fang will do the trick; only the fang of a Bloodwing stained with the pure crimson of fresh blood.

Translation: wild quilt
Alternate names: tobikura (flying warehouse)
Habitat: forests and mountains
Diet: primarily blood; also fire, nuts, fruit and berries

Appearance: A bat which lives to a very old age develops magical powers and changes into a yokai known as a nobusuma. They look almost identical to musasabi, or Japanese giant flying squirrels, although they are much more dangerous.

Behavior: Nobusuma eat nuts, fruit, and berries, but also feed on fire, and by sucking blood from humans and small animals (such as cats). They attack travelers walking the roads at night. They swoop down from the trees onto the faces of their unsuspecting victims, latch on, and begin sucking blood. When they do not need to feed, they simply swoop down and blow out lanterns and torches, flying back up into the night sky with a creepy cry that goes, “gaa gaa!”

Origin: While nobusuma are born from long-lived bats, the transformation does not stop there. Once a nobusuma reaches a very old age, it transforms again, either into a yamachichi or a momonjii.

This yokai should not be confused with the nobusuma (野襖) from Kochi prefecture, whose name is pronounced the same but is actually a variety of a different yokai called nurikabe.
