A thick wave brushed over the land like the shifting of the planet's surface, once laying comfortably dormant and compressed securely into the ground. For some reason, a chill rolling up her spine and made her restless.

"*Shudder!* What is that?" she cried out, shifting her consciousness to see what could be brushing her back whilst she were trying to rest in peace. "Something new..." The valley stretched out to welcome it, spreading wide like the arms of an innocent child to welcome a new discovery. The mountain that towered over gazed on.

What would waft in from the distance on great and beautiful black wings, a number of which could not be immediately counted, with flaps alternating in sequence to keep a level flight would be the Black Lotus. Each of its feathery wings were like the petal of a lotus spreading outward and fluttering gently over the Valley of Water, following behind the thick wave that had brushed up the surface of the planet. The great plant was like none seen, having wings and feathers like birds in the stead of petals, yet all black and velvet smooth, like a flower's delicate skin. Its thorny tendrils, like the stems or roots of a plant, trickled down and brushed across the ground lightly. The hovering angelic plantoid would notice being welcomed by the Veritas, and would suddenly begin to land where it saw the ground parting in order to make way for it to land. The voice of the Black Lotus was completely infrasonic, calling out to the earth in a tone that only she could hear as a vegetation.

"Veritas..." the Black Lotus spake on, the infrasonic sound emanating in powerful waves of pure baritone and atmosphering quivering, "I Am A Royal Servant, The Black Lotus, Sent From Your Father To Assist You In Your Environmental Training. You Are To Test Out Your Environmental Capabilities With Me." Because the Black Lotus was a very large target, the Veritas had to learn to use her natural environment as means of protecting herself from outsiders of all kinds, or even people threatening to harm or pollute her from the inside. "You Must Learn How To Protect Yourself, Princess."

"I see..." the Veritas responded in a manner similar to the Black Lotus, where none except the two of them and any with the power to hear or understand infrasonic waves would be able to hear. "Now Shifting 'Environmental' Layer." At that moment, the very atmosphere itself began to shift, rather drastically, at that.

Environment :: Set : Thunder Storm

With the Command input into the Veritas by the Veritas herself, she would gather up a great deal of energy and concentrate the molecules in the air overhead, bringing with it many powerful electrical currents conducted by the now coagulating dark clouds filled with ionic energy. Lightning flashed in the midst of the steely pillows in the sky, until the sky was fully darkened by the clouds and only ever illuminated by the brightness of the flashing lightning.

Enhancement :: Set : Immortality

With the Enhancement to the Thunderstorm, the Veritas is able to give the selected Environmental target 'Immortality,' causing the 'Thunder Storm' to permanently remain overhead as long as the Veritas sees fit and has energy to put into the storm. It will not pass away as long as she insist its existence.

Hazard :: Set : Poison Bomb

Suddenly, there was a powerful, thunderous burst within the clouds. With this command, the Veritas gives the selected Environmental target a poisonous or caustic ability that is like poison to what it touches. The sound of thunder is like a bomb that weakens whatever is within the roar of its wake, and any other explosive thunderclaps or lightning strikes induced by the Thunder Storm that the Veritas has generated.

Effect :: Set : Terrify

The very sound of the thunder was enough to make any being below tremble with great terror. This effect gives the selected Environmental target the effect to 'Terrify' with its presence naturally, causing natural intimidation to anything in its wake. Therefore, whatever is within the presence of the Thunder Storm or anything affiliated with it would be intimidated or terrified.

Side Effect :: Set : Ripple

The previous effects, all accumulative, are extended by the 'Side Effect,' which gives the selected Environmental target the property of 'Ripple,' causing all previous effects to spread out over the land in a rippling wave. The sound of the peals of thunder extended far and wide, terrifying all who would be intimidated and making them weak with just the caustic sound alone. Yet, not a single thread of lightning would fall from the cloudy layer overhead.

"Complete," the Veritas said after successfully activating an entire layer of her system. "Next Test."

With each of the effects in play and the environment now set, the Black Lotus would remain under the Thunder Storm, keeping itself afloat in the sky with its many beautiful black wings. "Your Next Test Is To Control Each Individual Aspect Of This Element Over A Wide Scale To Attack, Defend And Support. Activate Your Attributes As You See Fit In Order To Stop Me From Advancing." With her instructions given, the Black Lotus would suddenly drive its many roots into the very depths of the Veritas' surface, as well as into the water, and also lashing others into the mountainous walls. From there, it would begin to absorb her nutrients in each respective element. The water would gradually start to dry and the grass would slowly lose its green, whilst the rocks around the mountains would become weak and easy to incur a rock slide. "You Must Learn To Control The Entirety Of Your Body, On Both A Large And A Small Scale. Show Us What Your Large Scale Manipulation Of Your Body And Your Elements Looks Like!" The longer this being was rooted to the Veritas, the more of her energy it would sap from her and the land itself.

"Affirmative!" Tina would say decisively as she set her commands in the Veritas in motion. "Activate!" she commanded at once, allowing the creations she'd 'Set' upon the land to 'Activate' and begin their respective functions.

*BHOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!* the 'Thunder Storm' went, an abrupt burst billowing pillows upon pillows of fluffy folding darkness upon the hazardous hovering creature, aiming to suffocate it by poisoning its oxygen supply and electrocuting it from within. A single precise bolt of lightning struck down at the tentacles in the water, shooting a powerful electrical current through the water and up the root of the Black Lotus, likely electrocuting the entire being and hopefully paralyzing it so that the poison could take effect without any resistance.

"PRINCESS!!!" the 'Royal Servant' cried out from the flaps of its flowering wings, the magnitude of its vibrational pulsations sending powerful distortions throughout the air that repulsed not only all of the electrically charged thunderous cloud of smog, but also the lightning that shot from it with a vibrational intensity equivalent to its own. The lightning would arc midair, as if magnetized suddenly to a different location than where it had originally been cast, and would, instead of striking the water, crash into the nearest land mass. "You Could Have Killed Something Or Someone!!!" The 'Royal Servant,' which was working under Kairo Khrona, would be instructing her as if he were Kairo Khrona, yet also knowing that it was nothing more than a royal servant. "You must be more cautious and aware of all living beings around you, or else your effects will accidentally kill them or destroy something that is supposed to remain." The Black Lotus remained as it was, drawing nutrients from the Veritas and synchronizing with her in order to fully engage and assess her. "Try again."

"Oh." Tina responded in a monotonous manner, "I Apologize." She fully understood the error of her ways and immediately sought to change it for the better, and would do so through the next environmental reaction within her atmospheric control. "How about this, then...?"

Activate :: Immortality

The Thunder Storm that had been blown away at the cleansing breath of air from the black wings, would suddenly reform again from seemingly thin air, even after having been completely dispersed. It loomed overhead, just as cloudy as could be, and still booming with power.

Standby :: Poison Bomb

Because of the hazard that could potentially be to the Atmosphere and to the Environment, it was best for that energy to not actively be utilized in the Veritas, even if it could be 'Initiated' at any given time. This 'Royal Servant' also did not seem to be as hazardous as at first anticipated, and therefore, the Veritas would begin to embrace its presence here. The valley stretched wider to make room for the large creature to land, and the Thunder Storm up above would be used as a means to protect it from outsiders rather than as a means to harm it, since it chose not to harm the Veritas.

Activate :: Ripple

At that moment, everywhere there was a set 'Ripple' in the Veritas, there would be a reaction, and then a chain reaction, all coming from the pulsations of the accumulated 'Thunder Storm' overhead. It spread across the sky with clouds as thick as the night, having become more condensed and expansive than when they first appeared.

The Black Lotus could feel the shifting in the planet's atmosphere, becoming less curious and hostile and now being more warm and accepting of the foreign angelic plant as something that was not a threat. "Good work, Princess..." the Royal Servant praised, before gently lowering itself to the ground near the large channel flowing through the Valley of Water. "Now then... Do you know what my TRUE power is?" The Black Lotus, which was a sort of angelic plantoid, would root itself securely within the Valley of Water, becoming part of it, and ingraining itself in the natural environment. Due to the nature of a Lotus and the habitat that was chosen, the Black Lotus could drink from the pure waters as it saw fit.

"I am a Productive and Reproductive being. From my body, I may produce and reproduce many other living creatures... Spawns of many different beings and their biological information. I consume them and record them to create the same or new beings based off of what is consumed. I can also produce anything from what I have already consumed by mixing and matching biological components and elemental attributes." In short, it was a 'Creature Generator,' of sorts. "For the next part of your test, you will need to face off against one of the beings that I create and deal with it as though it is a threat to your environment. Tame it and have it roam free in the Veritas." That was the next assignment for the planet.

When the Black Lotus finished explaining the next task at hand, the feathery petals would suddenly close in on themselves, as if the plant were returning to a budding state. The enormous vegetation would remain that way only briefly, before blooming suddenly and parting each of its petal wings, lying them flat on the ground. What stood in the very center was a rather large being of shadowy construction and constitution; armored, titanic in size and with a stature and posture that seemed something like that of a soldier; A Black Knight.

"This shall be your opponent," the Black Lotus, who commanded the Black Knight, would say as the Construct suddenly sprung to life in a jerky, nearly mechanical manner. "Arm yourself!" Immediately, the Black Knight would swing its enormous greatsword behind it, cleaving off part of the clifftop that was nearby and causing a powerful rockslide in the area, disturbing the natural harmony of the Valley of Water's serene environment with its destructive calamity.

"Affirmative!" Tina cried out as she shifted her focus from the Black Lotus, which was no longer considered a hazard, to the Black Knight, which was causing environmental damage to the terrain. To tamper with the ecosystem was Tina's job to deal with, as the planet, itself, and thus, would take the liberty of being more responsible about keeping the planet in order and safe from harm or disruption in its environment.

Tina knew that the best way to handle a larger target such as this was to break it down into smaller parts and defeat it like that. Despite being a large enough entity to completely eviscerate it with a large surge of power, that would take energy away from her in other aspects of the Veritas, which would disrupt harmony within herself. She needed to be aware of things like that. Therefore, her main target would be the arm wielding the sword.

Thunder Storm :: Engage : Black Knight

Inputting a slightly more specific command, this time with the clear target being the 'Black Knight,' the Thunder Storm would concentrate its electrical energy at the focal point of the being that caused the rock slide; specifically, the blade-wielding arm. A single, but very powerful bolt of lightning was shot straight from up above at the unwary creature, straight at its blade, with its sword being like a lightning rod for it. The resulting force should have been powerful enough to knock the blade away, or even to blow its entire arm off completely, thereby leaving it weaponless and debilitated slightly.

The single strike of lightning hitting the Construct's hand would both knock the blade from its grip and completely burst its metal-plated hand, which was filled with a great darkness serving as the physical limb. Contact with the concentrated light in the power of the Lightning bolt was enough to quell the darkness that held the Construct's body together, leaving nothing left but an empty shoulder plate and a large blade that would strike the ground, sticking up out of the deep water. Being fairly large, it would be able to reach all the way to the bottom, yet with the hilt still above the water level.

The Black Knight had no immediate offense or defense against the environmental force fighting against it, which also seemed to harbor an elemental advantage over it due to the nature of its construction. Seeing this immediately, it would reach for its blade and pluck it from the water before stepping up atop the high cliff and lifting itself to higher ground, where it could escape the threat of being destroyed by the elements.

Though the Black Knight ran from the onslaught of lightning bolts falling from the sky, they would fall from the sky immortally and continually, ceasing not once with its strikes.

Activate :: Poison Bomb

Every missed lightning strike would burst into a hazardous concussive force with a powerful 'Ripple,' which would deteriorate or harm the Black Knight in some way as a being. Eventually, simply being within blast radius of the technique would be enough to kill the creature, without actually ever having to strike it directly.

The onslaught of lightning hurled down by the Veritas at the Black Knight, coupled with its explosive area effect, proved to completely outmatch and overpower it, even with its size, strength and capability. It would be completely weakened by the vicious explosive blows, then eventually struck down to nothingness by the remaining bolts, and ultimately fade away completely without a trace.

"Good," the Black Lotus said, "You've destroyed your first Environmental Hazard all on your own." There should have been no more trouble with that and things like it after that. That was, however, only one of the effects that the Environment could have, with another, the Black Lotus sensed, vastly approaching. "... There is something coming..." The Black Lotus was able to pick up on vibrations in the air and in the water. Though the sky was darkened by the clouds, it was not raining, and the air was not turbulent, which made it seem seaworthy enough for a group of tourists to undergo. "... We must flee this place and go somewhere more secure." The Black Lotus would suddenly fold in upon itself, like it had once been before budding, each of its black wings all coming to a bulbous close up above before the Black Lotus itself drew itself deep underground. "Princess, please clean up this mess and meet me in the new location." Those would be the final parting words of the Black Lotus, which would now be nowhere to be seen. It would sprout up elsewhere in the Valley of Water; somewhere much more secluded from human contact.

"Affirmative," Tina would acknowledge again, issuing the environment its next commands. "Disengage," she said decisively, causing all of the effects of the Thunder Storm and whatever properties it had to become dormant and inactive. The clouds across the sky did not fade, but rested in the air leisurely, no longer rumbling nor flashing with lightning. Now, it simply looked like a dark and cloudy day rather than that the weather was bad. With the 'Immortality' no longer active, the resting Thunder Storm should have started to fade gradually, but not immediately.

Sooner or later, after the weather had calmed a bit, the Water Ferry would drift along the Valley of Water and down the stream, with the Ferryman still issuing out the details of the tour. "Now we're moving into the main area of the Valley of Water," he'd say, pointing up to the great, wide and long river that wrapped around the mountain, "And if you'll look up, you'll see the mountain from which all of the water from the Valley of Water, as well as the entire Veritas comes from. It reaches all the way to the highest point of the Veritas, so that every layer has clean water to drink." The Valley that they were traveling through sat at the base of the mountain. "The protectors of this land rest at the top of this mountain, whose peak reaches the clouds. This is the highest and largest mountain in all the Veritas, and water is pumped from it! If this place becomes contaminated, everyone's water supply is, as well!" He would continue to spout random facts, as what the tour guide would, until they traveled all about the Valley and came full circle.

As the clouds thinned and the storm passed, the Water Ferry would come across large stones that were blocking the way, having just recently fallen into the Valley of Water. They would prevent the ferry from traveling further than a certain point.

The Ferryman dutifully continued on with the tour and the explanation. "And as you can see here..." he began to say, ready to give an explanation, yet as he did, the Mechanicrow that had joined him would begin to caw, having sensed danger. "What is this?" The Ferryman said, looking on to the stream, "A blockage? That is a hazard." Immediately, he would shift his duties to dealing with the hazard in the water. "Fortunately, I have equipped the latest edition to the Water Ferry for just an occasion!" With just the press of a button, the newest installments of the Water Ferry would spring into action, and a large drill attached to the front would begin to spin as they neared the rocks. "We'll have this obstacle cleared in a little while, folks. Don't fret."

Despite the advanced machinery, the rocks that blocked the way in the river were so thick, it took a couple hours to fully break them down and clear a path for the Ferry to go down. "Oh, PRAISE the Robot Tyrant Overlord!!" cried the Ferryman once they broke through the blockage after however long it had been that way. His Mechanicrow cawed out happily, also singing the praises of the Robot Tyrant Overlord, of which every Mechanica in the Veritas automatically worshipped and loved by default. This was so that they would always make sense at all times. "Well, I suppose that about wraps up the tour. The sky still seems to be a little rough, so I suppose it's best we head back to the dock, everyone." The Ferryman would automatically think of the safety of everyone on the boat before himself, being their designated overseer and liability. Therefore, their lives came before his, as a Serviceman. "Let's take her home!" With that, the Ferryman would turn his Water Ferry around and go all the way back to the dock.
