Grand Voyage; Valley of Water Tour!

With the Kobun Squad up and active around the city, the Ferryman could tend to the more pressing issues at hand. He had to go clear the way of the blockage that the wanted woman created in the midst of the passageway. He made it to the Water Ferry Port entrance, of which all of the transportation vehicles of Balneal rested.


"I did really want to go on a voyage to another land..." he muttered, a little disheartened about the fact that the Desert Moth they captured was no more than a hologram, now. "... But, I guess this doesn't mean I have to cancel the trip." In all honesty, all he really had to do was start upgrading his Water Ferry and install some sort of ice breaking device to it.

"It may take a little bit of time, but I will certainly get it done. Hopefully by then, the Kobun Squad is done with their services."

With that, the Ferryman started mapping out some blueprints for the new additions to the design.

The Ferryman, who had been upgrading the Ferry System ever since the incident with the ice blockage, would be checking the equipment for any mechanical issues since their recent upgrades. Everything had been going well since that time, but it was important to consistently check for even the most marginal errors in the new updates. "Alright, this looks clean..." he muttered, speaking a little more loosely than the more basic Servicemen patrolling the city. Because he was personalized for a specific task, the 'Ferryman' type Serviceman had more personality and versatility than the normal 'Servicemen' series.

With the strange beings entering the vicinity of this Serviceman's jurisdiction, immediately, he would be able to sense them, as though a human with a sixth sense, yet simply mimicking this feature with his own scanners. "What's this?" Something that was suspicious, no doubt. They did not act like normal tourists. "Calling Units..." Even if the Servicemen mimicked all human functions absolutely correctly with their various built in abilities and capabilities, they were still able to perceive things in a purely robotic manner. The power signature read on the scanner was considered a threatening level, and though the presences didn't seem threatening, it was still best to keep a close eye on them and have back up already prepared if necessary.

The Ferryman was initially very suspicious of the strange group, but had nothing really that he could use as evidence to hold against them, and the units that were told to be on guard seemed to be running late, for some reason. "... Sure," he'd say after a short pause, allowing them to step inside of the entrance. "Watch your step on the way inside. I'll be with you in a moment." The Ferryman would make sure the tourists were inside before turning around and briskly walking toward the door to search for the other Servicemen.

Suddenly, he would be paged, "Sir, there's too much commotion out here. There seems to be a bit of a disturbance out here that we must rationalize and prioritize the safety and comfort of the masses, and therefore cannot meet your assistance unless a greater urgency is required." After hearing this, somewhat alarmed, the Ferryman would hurry to the entrance and open the door, seeing the crowd of people and each of the Servicemen dealing with patronage in the city that seemed to be more urgent than just a slight suspicion. "Alright, alright," he called out, shooing away the amassed crowd at the door, "Break it up, everyone. This is a fire hazard and a safety violation, and someone may get hurt. I'm going to need you to clear out the area immediately." Being more personable than the other Servicemen, he also had a different patience and tolerance meter than the rest of them, which was more geared toward handling his task at hand. "Please, evacuate the area swiftly." He would remain there to make sure they left and did not return, to also secure that other people could enter and exit the building as necessary.

With the doorway clear, the Ferryman would adjust his hat and begin to turn away, double-backing to make sure that no one would come back afterward. "Hm. That's better." Since he saw that the Servicemen outside were preoccupied with the citizens, he figured he would simply keep an eye on things, himself, rather than get others involved unnecessarily. Turning around and stepping back into the Ferry Port, the Ferryman adjusted his jacket, and would there be greeted by the enthusiastic Serviceman that he'd called, free of any binding cause to any civilian nearby. "Well. Good. Now that you're here, I need you to keep an eye on the passengers in the Ferry whilst I continue to check for the mechanical errors before we take off." It was about time to test out the newest features down the Valley of Water and see if they could use the new equipment for something productive as well as something useful for events like what happened with the ice blockage in the future.

"Yes, sir!" the Serviceman said with a bit of vigor, immediately turning right back around to walk right back into the place he had emerged from, with the other Servicemen each walking in after him.

The next people to walk out of the Ferry, however long that was, were the same tourists that had entered in the beginning, looking just the same as they had when they'd entered. When they passed by the Serviceman, they would say, "Thank you, but this isn't what we're looking for. Maybe some other time." Without stopping, the tourists would exit the Ferry Port and immediately lose themselves in the crowds outside. Only one Serviceman remained, and it was the one that found the 'Pressure Armor,' whose control would be released to its standardized code as a Mechanica and no longer under Kairo Khrona's influence. The Serviceman would return to normal at that point.

The Ferryman made his rounds about the Water Ferry, ensuring that all of the new equipment was installed and checked completely. "Alright then. All Aboard!" He cried out to whatever passengers would be attending this tour, "On this excursion, we'll be observing how the Water Ferry's new equipment works out in the field!" That was the 'Special Service' that was being provided, which was why tourism had heightened since the incident with the ice woman. There was an attraction for special Water Ferry tours, of which this would be considered until the newness of this feature was broken in and the next attraction would be promoted. "We're shoving off!" he said, his Serviceman helper nearby. Since the other Servicemen had the streets under control, having only one with the Ferryman on the boat should have been enough. The large gates to the port would open up and reveal the channel that broke apart throughout the entire city of Balneal, and also straight into the 'Land Of Eternal Rain' where the channels let out.
