| To the Council or Committee,
I, Tymon Bolton II, had recently attended Tribeca Flashpoint College for a term during the Spring. During this time, I failed to complete the full trimester, though not of my own full liability. Being new to the institution, I was confused about how the terms functioned and ended up not understanding the full extension of the dates and times nor the regulation of how the school cycle worked. I ended up missing the first portion of the second term strictly out of unknowing and misunderstanding plus miscommunication, ending with myself having lost too much time as it was before I was alerted that classes already started again. Because of this, I had to drop the classes and the entire term altogether.
Though an honest mistake, I am aware that the necessary protocol is to pledge for an appeal and to explain myself accordingly, thus I am doing so to you now for the sake of my education and clarity. I do wish to continue with my education at Tribeca Flashpoint College and now understand how the classes function at least a little better beyond the honest mistake, which I will always do my best to assure does not happen again. My knowledge of the situation has changed, so now I have greater awareness of what is required and also how to go about it at the school. My only error in judgment was how the terms functioned and the scheduling behind it. In order to prevent my own grades from suffering and also wasting precious time and money after I'd already missed so many crucial days, I knew it best to simply withdraw and reapply later on in a different term.
I apologize for the inconvenience, as it was nowhere near my intention to come to this point at all -- everything was merely miscommunication and misunderstanding. I still strive for scholarly excellence, as I believe I had started with (and will follow through with), to the end of my enrollment at Tribeca Flashpoint College. | |
