The clan of Prophets is natural to the old Reality, and therefore came over to the Veritas through the Reality Village origins. Prophets are people with powerful psychic energy infused with their abilities. The Prophets once had their own village, but it quickly rose into civil war and was finished. The clansmen that were left from the battles quickly dispersed and and became vagabonds. Not much is recorded after that time.
One Prophet, who was a shinobi of the Reality Village, rose to power in the Village Hidden in the Streams. There he became the Kage and ruled with an iron fist. However there were some who disagreed with his ideals. They rose a revolt and killed him, his wife, and all his children but two. One of them was the older brother who was taken far away by a vagabond; a friend of the father. He trained him in the arts of the clan and then died. The elder brother struck out on his own to a different dimension and village to learn and gain power there, totally ignorant that one of his brothers still lived.
The people of the streams took the younger brother and made him one of their experiments. They infused a being into him, who was very powerful, and bloodthirsty, as well as power hungry. He eats energy to sustain himself, so it feeds on him. They hoped to control the being by putting him inside a vessel, but they were wrong. After the infusion, the entity took full possession of his body and slew a multitude of shinobi within the village, singlehandedly. When he became conscious, he found himself surrounded by bodies. He immediately fled, knowing they would come for him.
After a while, the younger brother found the Village Hidden in the Reality, surprised by the fact that his clansmen, the Prophets, had control over reality, given to them by the people of the Dream World. He made a name for himself in the Reality Village for a while and became powerful enough to traverse the other dimension where his elder brother went to -- which was also connected to the Reality through the Lost World as a medium. | |
