An angel is a supernatural being or spirit found in various religions and mythologies. In Zoroastrianism and Abrahamic religions they are often depicted as benevolent celestial beings who act as intermediaries between Heaven and Earth, or as guardian spirits or a guiding influence.[1] Other roles of angels include protecting and guiding human beings, and carrying out God's tasks.[2] The term "angel" has also been expanded to various notions of spirits found in many other religious traditions. The theological study of angels is known as "angelology".
In art, angels are often depicted with bird-like wings on their back, a halo, robes and various forms of glowing light.
The word angel in English is a blend of Old English engel (with a hard g) and Old French angele.[4] Both derive from Late Latin angelus "messenger of God," which in turn was borrowed from Late Greek ἄγγελος ángelos. According to R. S. P. Beekes, ángelos itself may be "an Oriental loan, like ἄγγαρος ["Persian mounted courier"]."[5] The word's earliest form is Mycenaean a-ke-ro attested in Linear B syllabic script.[6][7]
The ángelos is the default Septuagint’s translation of the Biblical Hebrew term mal’ākh denoting simply ‘messenger’ without specifying its nature. In the Latin Vulgate however the meaning becomes bifurcated: when mal’ākh or ángelos is supposed to denote a human messenger, words like nuntius or legatus are applied. If the word refers to some supernatural being, the word angelus appears. They are beings possess etheric bodies that are composed of etheric matter, a type of matter finer and more pure that is composed of smaller particles than ordinary physical plane matter.

Angel Description
Servants of God that bear his light and his Truth, possessing beautiful white wings that shine with a divine light. It is said that the higher up in rank an Angel is, the more wings it gets, or the larger and more beautiful its wings become. They reside in the Empyrean Isles, the floating islands hovering above the Dawn that are the closest to the Heavens, and most secluded. They bear messages from God to the people whilst also maintaining their distance from their civilizations. Natural bringers of justice and slayers of evil, they are known to accompany good warriors to dispel the darkness that plagues the land. They are very merciful and compassionate, having a strong fundamental distaste for fighting, but will loyally uphold the teachings of God. To that end, they frown upon the passions of humans and monsters, and it is rumored that they hold a slight dislike toward the Witches for the ways that they use their magic, and have been at a silent war with them for eons. From birth, angels have divine protection, and are naturally resistant to the demonic forces that ensorcel the lands. However, those that are tainted fall and become Dark Angels or Fallen Angels, and lose their divinity.
For those that are of good will and nature, they reward generously with happiness and prosperity, but those that take advantage of their generosity are punished. Those that attack them are given warnings for their ill-intent, however after so many warnings, they will fight back with all the viciousness of Heaven striking down a demon, which you will be considered to be.
