Hellshell


A race of living explosives created by the Witches based off of many military explosive weapons, such as bombs and grenades. Being sentient beings, their nature is extremely fiery, short-fused and... explosive, making them detonate upon irritation. They grow in power from drawing energy from the air which then becomes generated into unstable explosive energy within, due to the systematics of their bodies. Some grow in size when they are about to explode More powerful Hellshells can contain their explosive nature in order to build up more energy, and thus create a more powerful explosion later. However, once they explode, they release all of their energy, and typically end up dying. Some leave their original containers, which can be rekindled with more energy. some of the stronger ones are known to rekindle on their own after gathering a certain amount of energy again. They are very dangerous and typically do not interact with others, as they were used primarily as weapons.

When Berserked, causes it to explode instantaneously.

Rend: With powerful burning jaws and claws, it rends and melts through what it bites and slashes at.

Burning Body: Slams its incredibly hot body of pure flame at its targets. Grows hotter and larger as it gets more energy.

Flame Attack: Spews out concentrated, heated, fast blasts of fire from its mouth that explode on the foe.

Bomb Blast: Powered up version of Flame Attack, shooting out rapid-fire fire bombs at the foe.

Solar Flare: A powerful explosion of heat and energy (not fire, despite its name) that does incredible damage and covers an incredible range.

Heat Shield: Halves the effects of any physical attacks. Halves the effects of non-physical attacks.

Shimmering Heat: Coats self in magic that will reflect and double the power of non-physical attacks back at the caster.

Heat Barrier: Increases the effects of any sort of defensive moves (For example, Protect, Shell, Reflect...)

Oilspill: Spews oil that will make fire attacks do 3 times the damage to anything afflicted with Oil.

Booomboom!: Creates a 'Baby/Mini' Bomb that it throws like a grenade to explode with the power of a normal bomb.

Heat Pierce: Ignores Reflect and other barriers.

King Bomb Only Attacks
Call for Help: Calls any Bombs (including Grenades and the like) for help.

Ultima: The most powerful magic there is. Will cast it from itself or the sky, making a MASSIVE explosion of PURE MAGIC and destructive power, making an explosion of epic proportions able to destroy everything in its way with ease.

Full-Cure: Fully heals all wounds and restores all health, but keeps built up power. Also cures all status ailments (if any.)

Chain Reaction/Mass Destruction: If it explodes, it will have all other Bombs in the area explode with it, making explosions beyond that of a supernova.

Magic Reaction: Upon using magic, all other bombs in the area will use ALL of their magical attacks simultaneously along with it.

Inflate: Increases size while not being prone to explode. Instead, doubles all of its statistics each time it Inflates. Can also increase the size of other objects of its choosing with the same effects.

Bash: Rams self at intense speeds at anything it wishes, incinerating everything in the way.

Safety: Protects self from Instant Death, Doom, Gravitational attacks and status ailments.

Reflect Damage: Half of the damage done to the King Bomb will instantly be done to the attacker as well.

Instant Magic: For a limited time, able to use magic without charging time.

Greater Barrier: Casts Protect, Shell and Reflect. Better than Mighty Guard.


Balloon
"Being a fiend created by a Gran Kiltias of long ago to roam the Stilshrine, protecting the relics of the Dynast-King that rest within. Its body exudes great magical power, fueling a pale glowing flame that burns around it incessantly. Made to defend the relics of the Dynast-King with their lives, or more precisely, with their deaths."

Purobolos
"Being a bomb-shaped fiend dwelling within the Pharos. the bones of ancient monstrosities were used in its creation, trapping within it a fearsome volume of magics and Mist. Its goal is first and last the defense of the magicite sleeping at the very top of the Pharos. To this end will it give its life, going out with something of a bang if necessary. Until quite recently, the mallet was a tool used exclusively to bring the deeply distressed to their senses. However, the violent appearance of the tool has lessened its popularity as of late, and mallet-makers everywhere are feeling the strain of a downturn in demand. But now a savior has emerged from a most unlikely direction: the famed Mameco the Pug and several other mummers have begun using mallets in their work on stage. Nothing is more crowd-pleasing than braining a fool with a mallet, it seems."

Mom Bomb
"Being a magical construct much like a simple explosive, created by the lords of the ancient city to prevent intruders reaching its heart. Its body is formed of a strong metal of surpassing quality, beneath which seethe magics and Mist under tremendous pressure. Though they are individuals, as a side-effect of their simultaneous creation they are as facets of a single consciousness, and have been known to coordinate their attacks on intruders to deadly effect. They have the power to birth other Bombs and Grenades."

King Bomb
"Being a fiery armament of singular destructive power among the bombs created in ancient times. It is the King of all Bombs and controls them to its will, along with their kin, the Grenades. It was long thought that the bombs disappeared, never taking to the wilds, yet drawn by the massive Mist cloud left in the wake of the tragedy at Nabudis, they came to live here as odd guests in the forest."

"Said to be a prototype version of the mom bomb created to guard the treasures lying within the Stilshrine. They are highly unstable.



Hellshell Info; Explosivo


Living explosive weapons said to be the first successful experiments that mothered the Soulmates known today, though instead of maintaining physical bodies, their powerful souls burnt them away and anything else they came in contact with for energy. They were first confused with the natural spirit of 'Will-o-The-Wisp,' however even though they share much likeness to it, they simply only modeled after it. Made in times of yore by the Witches to combat rivaling forces, the Hellshells were made by Mechanica herself, using the finest technology not outdated even in present day as well as the most potent of magics to contain such power. A testament to her work. They harbor a will only to take out their targets, and all have burning, explosive souls prone to Soul Wavelength, Insanity and Magic, making them highly reactive to both. They seek those who use magic and attack them on site, and those who use Wavelength or Insanity quickly find it drained into the Hellshell for more power.

Highly unstable and reactive due to their experimental ways, they are made purely and solely for destruction; to detonate themselves and take everything along with them. They are powered by their own rage and the soul wavelength or negative emotions of others, though most commonly, insanity itself, which they draw in excessive amounts and transform into raw explosive energy within themselves, or into magic. They hate everything, including themselves and their own lives, which is why they are so willing to take themselves out. Oddly enough, they do not harm each other, as they seem to hold each other in high respect, and tend to all be of like mind when near each other. They say that a Hellshell envies others for being able to live past their use and have more emotions than just hatred and rage, and thus, take it out on everything that lives. They will continue to take in all such power until they grow to unimaginable sizes and explode, taking out everything in their blast radius. They are various in their races and can be very lethal. The angrier it gets, the larger it grows. Some are said to even have enough potential energy to explode with the force of supernovas, or even greater, if not dealt with fast enough. However, this has never been seen, as there has never been a Hellshell that can contain that much power long enough before it lets itself go in a fit of rage. Oddly enough, they do not explode when destroyed, but transfer all the energy they have drawn into their very souls, which then grow in strength.

Their bodies are made of their own souls condensed into the form of physical flames of hatred and kept by Mechanica's technological magic. This allows them the gift of flight. They are prone to ramming and biting with their fiery bodies, which in turn can inflict deadly burns. They grow hotter and brighter the more energy they get within them, as a signal also to their imminent explosions, if they do not grow in size.

Though all hope seems lost when a Hellshell is released, there is a way to keep its power at bay, or even to deactivate it. That is to extinguish its flames with Water, Ice or Wind, which in turn leaves only a small flame that is its soul. Though it becomes deactive, if left alone for too long, it will rekindle its hatred from lingering insanity and negativity, and hunt down whomever it was that deactivated it with eternal vengefulness. If it is rekindled by outside forces, it will hate the one who brought it back to its miserable life and explode on sight.

Another way to keep this creature at calm is to never feed it negative emotions, nor enrage it. It will stay at peace and never grow, but become able to be interacted with. They say that those who wish to rid themselves of negativity test their might by surroundings themselves with Hellshells. If the Hellshells become hostile or detonate, then they have failed their training, however if they can leave alive without agitating the weapons, then their training is successful.

Though there are many Hellshells created for many different situations, the forbidden 'King of All Bombs' is the great 'Warhead.' By far the naturally largest of all bombs, which takes in energy in the truckloads, never growing larger nor letting one know of how much energy it has taken in. It is one of the only Hellshells that can maintain its composure during its lifetime, infinitely gaining energy until the time of its death, where it explodes and releases all of the pent up energy it has contained within itself over the course of its life.


The Explosivo itself is the most common of all Hellshells; An enscorceled weapon for use against the Witches' enemies in days past, left to grow wild. Known to react swiftly to the presence of magic, the action of which triggering explosive energies contained within. Notwithstanding, the release of said energy leads to an explosion of a physical nature, making it greatly effective against targets who rely upon magical protection. They have the shortest temper, and are widely known as 'Short Fuses' because of this, which causes them to explode prematurely due to their incredible rage. They were the most mass produced, as their explosions were still very potent, and they were the easiest to create. Every once and a while, there is a Short Fuse that is able to control itself to the point where it grows larger and more powerful than others, causing more destructive explosions. One can only imagine what kind of calamity a finely tempered one can cause.
