The market had changed recently. As Supply and Demand shifted outrageously and drastically from what was Supplied and Demanded from even just a year ago, many of the merchants were dumbfounded and in a panic. They needed to deliver what the people were asking for, but also wanted to keep their own systematic regime continuing on, whether or not it was beneficial or not. They were not expecting to have to do anymore work keeping up with the economy, figuring that it was completely secured with how they were being fed the same artificial products over and over so none would have to pay them any mind, but nowadays, they were asking for things that were less artificial and therefore taking much more effort to harvest and generate. This worried the merchants, but there was little they could do. After what happened with the incident of the 'rotten food' outbreak and how that spread in the produce stores, many of the merchandisers had a knife to their throats in terms of their reputation and were forced to provide what was asked or risk being run out of the market. Times were tough for those who used to scratch and sneak in the business and market industries. They were at their wits end, but would Supply as Demanded.
