I. Elsewhere, there was exposure to the elements of nature that, combined with the elements already part of them, caused the Dusk Creatures to mutate in a different way because of the exposure to both elements at the same time. These Dusk Creatures adapted their senses to a heightened degree that allowed them awareness of things beyond themselves and their enclosed environment in whatever habitat they settled in. These Dusk Creatures, who were wise, could tell from the accumulative heightened sensory perception that there were changes going on outside of their own location that also affected their location. In a type of paranoia, these Dusk Creatures became more fearful and cautious of everyone and everything. Their eyes grew wide and their ears became more perceptive. They were jumpy and swift, becoming as flexible as possible in order to escape if necessary.
