CONCEPT
VISUALIZE
Illustrators are artists who create drawings for a variety of materials, products and media. They visualize and produce artwork based on concepts that either they, themselves come up with or that are predetermined by a client or employer. Traditionally, pen and pencil drawings or watercolors were the most common for conception of illustration. Many illustrators are converting to digital illustration applications.

I have always enjoyed illustrating and have based an entire part of my life off of the growth and development of my own illustrations that I began in the 3rd and 4th grade, having loved and aspired to illustrate ever since I began drawing. Due to this, I have natural gifts that go into the ability to conceive illustrations without requiring too much effort. Therefore, because of my talent, it is imperative for me to pursue this career choice. The ability to visualize the concepts before I design them is one of the more prominent factors in the importance of this choice.

DESIGN
CREATE
Typically, illustrators create drawings that visually represent ideas, concepts or stories. They also design graphics for several products in a great deal of diversity, such as stationary, greeting cards, wrapping paper, calendars and packaging, or digital illustrations for animated objects and scenery. Due to this level of diversity, there are many opportunities for illustrators as well as innumerable methods for design down to the minutia. Professional artists and illustrators have come to use digital design processes in order to animate, alter, or redesign illustrated graphics rather than the formal traditional style.

I prefer the traditional style of illustration because that is both natural and original. I am naturally gifted with the ability to illustrate and also bear many diverse talents that dwell on the ability to illustrate and conceive the images in my mind as well as project them as I see fit. Thus, the design process of illustration after the general conception flies by with little effort at all and helps me to refine my skills and techniques. This is why I prefer illustration and have taken to mastering this form of art over the years as well as continue to do so.

REFINE
EDIT
During the latter part of an illustrator’s process, they show potential employers their talent by displaying samples of their work in a portfolio. Depending on the industry, these artists often have to complete projects within a short time frame, which may prove stressful to some workers. Although professional artists and illustrators may specialize in a specific field, they can make themselves more suitable by acquiring a diverse art background with a portfolio to show for it. The editing process in order to make artwork presentable may take a great deal of time for their own works rather than if they were to work for someone else.

Due to my natural abilities and also my personal love of art in general, the pursuit of a career in art is proper for my ultimate aspirations in becoming an illustrator as part of my overall career s an artist. There are many facets of art that I partake of, yet each of them more or less requires illustration in order for them to come to life. I hone my illustration talents in order for this to fit into the overall template of what I have created for myself as a person and as an artist, which ends with the design fitting my nature and lifestyle. Now, I simply work on refining my arts and myself along with them.
