='Chomao'=

He stepped from the deep darkness of the unknown to a dense forest of deciduous trees. Tall and sturdy were these trees, bristling with lush green leaves. If Koudo wasn't mistaken, he could hear the faint sound of crashing water in the distance, faded out by the density of vegetation in the particular area that he appeared. As far as he could tell, this place did not look familiar to him, nor should it. Everything changes.

The 'Adaptation' function of the 'Simulator' began as soon as it was 'Engage'd and would 'Activate' immediately, as if on command. It would begin to collect data on the environment that it was in and also better itself automatically based solely on potential. This resulted in it being given its own form and in giving itself a form, also allowing for itself to develop through its 'Icon'.

-Budou-, the name of the 'Adaptation' simulation that was being used as the 'Icon' at that moment would begin its normal 'Adaptation' process through excessive training and constant betterment through learning and growing, starting by beginning to 'Practice' some 'Technique's that would serve as the basic foundation of the Veritas 'Learning System', which was part of the 'Simulator' as its 'Triangulation' Point.

The only 'Target' in the 'Area' that served as a 'Challenger' was the 'Newcomer' -- Koudo Tamura -- who was standing off in the thick of the trees just in line of vision with -Budou-s training area. The spherical creature that donned a huge dallop of spiky white hair and large, poofy pants would shift its attention to -Koudo Tamura-, who 'Approach'ed it.

Budou: Will you be my opponent?

Koudo was still trying to get his bearings, and come to a better understanding of the area around him. He certainly could shift into Sage Mode to get a lay of the land through the eyes of one that is attuned to nature, but he decided not to waste the energy. Waiting for one of Khrona's other selves to appear and info dump was a much more efficient use of time.

"No." Koudo didn't turn around to face the being that spoke to him, but the dragon monk sensed him before the being noticed him. If there was someone here searching for an opponent, then that meant this might be some kind of sparring arena of some kind. Koudo smiled a bit, happily.

He turned now, to face this strange cross between some kind of alien character and a fighter, showing no apparent reaction to it's very weird appearance. If he was searching for a sparring partner then he was in luck. This would be the perfect opportunity to gauge the growth of Yui as a fighter and determine if she could handle taking a more active role during their adventure.

Koudo held his hand out to the side, casually motioning towards the space beside him, "She will."

As if on cue, the Tamura curse of appearing right when the situation calls for it remaining strong in our lovely protagonist, Yui appeared almost out of thin air. Stepping through the boundary that connected two locations always had that effect.

Shorter than the man who ushered in her arrival, she looked his spitting image, minus a few minor differences that became more apparent once you laid eyes upon her mother, dressed in clothes reminiscent of a sort of acolyte. Persumably an acolyte to the man she stood beside.

She heard her daddy announce she would be the opponent to this strange creature. She supposed she didn't mind, assuming it to be some sort of test for her. She could feel the uneasiness oozing off her father's skin, even if he appeared stalwart and resolute. He didn't trust that she could handle herself, but she'd show him that she certainly could.

"Yes sir." She proclaimed stepping forward, away from his side, to make it much more obvious that she was interested in following his father's instructions.

Budou smiled, his sharp eyes gazing into those of his 'Opponent' of choice. "Very well!" Budou cried out boldly, bowing as much as the spherical being could without having any form of a torso and only small, nubby legs attached. His 'Hands' -- which were well defined -- extended outward from him and looked as if they were making hand signs, or taking on some sort of 'Style'. Likewise, the small feet spread apart, poofy purple pants puffing out with the 'Stance' being taken by Budou.

Though Budou was focused specifically on his own 'Ambition' at the moment, he also took notice of what was going on between the two of them. This was also taken into the very large eyes that covered most of the spherical face-and-body that comprised it. It seemed like Budou was staring out blindly or blankly, completely unblinking, but it meant that he was actually just analyzing the situation so critically that his body could not move at all, even for blinking. Budou simply remained in his 'Stance' with a sort of stale, stagnant face that was the same constant expression, sharp eyes unblinking.

As Yui stepped forward, Koudo stepped back. He had no intention of interfering. It was something he had a bad habit of doing when a family member was in trouble, but Yui was a student now. He wasn't sure if shed ever seen, or talk to Mira about, how he handled training people. It was fairly brutal, but only because of the teachers he'd had at the same age. The gentlest teachers he'd ever had were his grandfather and Odea, everyone else usually killed him because they knew he could revive himself.

Still, she was his daughter, so he wouldn't be too rough on her. Doubly light because they had a very long road ahead of them and he didn't want her to be too tired for it. Triply light because he wasn't the one acting as her opponent.

Regardless, he couldn't let it be too easy either. He folded his arms at his thought, "Only Storm Release." He could tell just by looking at Yui that she hadn't used it much, if at all. The basic natures of Water and Lightning were much more practical and "easier" to use. He often neglected the discipline himself when he was younger, but that was only because he didn't have the imagination required to use it effectively. He'd remedied that over the years.

"Infest me. I know you've forgotten it."

Yui groaned at the mention of the Storm Release, a group of techniques that she stopped using a long time ago, pretty much as soon as she was able to strike out on her own as Tama here on The Veritas. It was impractical, looked dumb and only had one technique that was useful in her eyes. Why Koudo was making her use it was anyone guess, but she certainly didn't want to.

She wouldn't go against her father's wishes though, and nodded after sliding into a fighting stance in response to the opponent that she never took her eyes off of. "Fiiiiiine." She confirmed to Koudo's instruction, her already white hair becoming noticeably more bright and filled with chakra and her periwinkle eyes deepening to a much more royal shade of blue. Connecting herself to her father was as simple as breathing and took no effort to accomplish, no matter the distance between them.

Once the connection was established, her head was filled with the information necessary in order for her to reproduce techniques in the Storm Release school of Ninjutsu styles. She could see her father's memories of the techniques, understand his revelations about the Ninjutsu style and feel his muscle memories within her own body. His knowledge of anything else was not available to her.

She stayed this way, in this Infested state, ready to begin. Tamura were notoriously defensive fighters in nature, and their primary Taijutsu style reflected this as well. She wouldn't move until her opponent did, but she was ready nonetheless.

Budou kept an unblinking 'Eye' on the -Challenger-.

During the 'Gaze' at the -Target- :: -Budou- was able to 'Read' : the 'Atmosphere'.


Read: -Budou- could tell from reading in between the lines about the genetic lineage and inherent skills within the daughter that seem to have been passed down from the paternal figure in some fashion that linked the two of them together in a fashion that allowed them to harmonize or share the same power between the two of them simultaneously, and possibly also make they and it stronger through the bond. Budou immediately assessed that the best method for facing them -- rather, the daughter -- was indirectly rather than straight forward, despite how very straight-forward Budou was as a character.

Remaining in his 'Position', Budou continued to 'Read' the situation whilst still remaining both motionless and expressionless, not even saying a word. The actual lack of communicative skill at this point made his stalwart stagnancy unsettling in an area where there was a lot of energetic activity already going along -- something like a rock in the wind.

The opponent didn't move, and neither did Yui. She remained attached to her father, funneling all of his experiences, old and new, with the Storm Release into her own mind and absorbing his muscle memories into her body. Really, Yui liked to think this was the reason she made the perfect protege to her father. They could share knowledge between one another better than he could ever share the same knowledge with someone not of their bloodline.

Once she had taken all of the knowledge that was required, she felt her connection to her father forcibly removed. Her hair returned to normal, and so did her eyes. Koudo had cut her off. She had gotten what she need, and a little extra, so he disconnected to stop her from absorbing everything. Her stance tightened, briefly, and then shifted to a much looser, yet more precise stance.

Then she moved.

Bolts of energy, light purple in color, streaked through the wind towards the left of the weird creature opposite her on this battlefield, originating from her open palm. A cover, for her rapid movement towards its right side. She would arrive before the bolts of energy, sliding into a solid stop into a pivot for a reverse hook kick meant to send the weird alien-like creature flying towards the bolts of Storm Release chakra if it should connect.

Reaction: Immediately as there was any form of shifting in energy, Budou would 'Read' this in the 'Atmosphere', since Budou was reading the atmosphere for its 'Emanations', and thus be able to tell as soon as something of a different force or volume randomly begins. Because of this, reflexively, Budou would 'Counter' the strike of his opponent using a reactive kick used to both halt the kick and step off of it at the very sole of the foot once the kick came near and the bolts of energy had not. Therefore, instead of direct contact being made with her to counteract the force of the kick, instead, the momentum of it was used in a sliding fashion in order to proportionally use the energy to slip Budou through the air at a high speed through only the soles of their feet connecting on the surface, thus gaining the torque and momentum of the energy put into the roundhouse kick at all.


Likewise, in a similar fashion, when the sharp and swift energetic releases shot toward him, using only the information that was gathered in tandem with the already present information that came with Budou as a being, Budou would 'Counter' the energy using a similar value in the collection of energy during the 'Read' and 'Reaction'. The entire time that was spent 'Read'ing the situation was also a time where Budou was storing, gathering and even withholding energy and not exerting any, as to be completely prepared for some sort of engagement with an unknown force, as it was now. Also, the time during the 'Reaction' that utilized the energy from the roundhouse kick for an extra boost built up the energy of Budou. The built up 'Ki' energy served as enough power to completely neutralize the force by matching it and polarizing it with an opposing 'Chi', and therefore completely nullify the energy, its force and its properties with only just the single strike matching it in power and negating it in energetic property. For each sharp arrow point, Budou would release blow after blow of repetitious counter blows that were of the same energy as what was necessary to neutralize their force and polarity to keep them from having any type of secondary effect.

Koudo's draconic eyes sharpened at the initial exchange of blows, specifically at his daughter's opponent's technique and skill. He breathed out of his nose, slowly, coming to a realization in that very instant about the outcome of this match should it continue to its logical stopping point. He removed his hands from their resting position, folded against his chest, and reached out a hand towards Yui.

"Bansho Ten'in."

Before Yui could recover and initiate her counter-offensive, she'd feel a powerful shift in the gravity around her. A force, a pulling force, would act upon her, extracting her and returning her to Koudo's side, where she would remain for the duration of the journey. It was clear to him, almost immediately...

She wasn't ready.

Yui wasn't expecting a opponent who was more skilled than she was a taijutsu. She just had a nagging feeling in the back of her head that that was the case. Considered he had the skill and the speed to snatch the momentum of her kick and use it to propel himself away from her. She cataloged the move, watching the motions of her opponent to remember them as closely as she could.

While she did that, of course, she didn't stop acting. In fact, she flipped backwards, with no recovery lag between her flip and failed roundhouse, to gain enough ground for the running start need for her to execute a "Cannon Spike"-esque rising kick underneath her opponent as he turned his attention to deal with her energy bolts.

Before she could execute the "Cannon Spike"-esque maneuver, she felt an unnatural strong pulling force throw her off balance mid flip. The unusual force moved her, aggressively, towards her father's side and she huffed in disappointment. She folded her arms as she was placed down to the ground at the side of her father, specifically a couple feet behind him, and lowered her head.

She didn't need to acknowledge what had just happened. Her father didn't think she was ready to fight at his side yet.

Budou almost instinctively 'React'ed based on the previous 'Reaction' and its 'Reflex'ive nature as a 'Counter' attack. Likewise, he retracted his stance and gave a sharp 'Gaze' to the 'Dragon' man that was standing before him with such 'Eyes'. Budou's enormous oculars were very observant in literally all forms of combat and turning anything into a form of combat or use it for such, as its standard basic protocol for just its own lifestyle and natural habitat of evolution. This was how Budou and all things like Budou grew naturally, like any other living being in the world.

Budou bowed its head and smiled, flipping its long, flowing head from around its face as it rose from the bow, which looked somewhat silly given how extremely short Budou was.


Still, however, Budou did not speak, yet silently acknowledged the challengers as the singularity that they were as 'Foreign' -Otherworlders- in the Veritas, even if being treated as 'Residents' only due to anomalous variables restrictive.

Koudo kept his eyes trained on Budou, almost as intently as the creature was observing him. Only almost. Koudo would be a fool to think that this creatures perception abilities were fathoms more developed than his own. And Koudo was a fairly dangerous man with considerable skill.

Koudo smiled as well, placing a hand to Yui's head to defuse her doubts. She had done nothing wrong, persay. Koudo had not pulled her out of battle for that reason, but because he recognized immediately that Budou was a challenger on his level of skill... if not higher. In his reassuring hand, there was a tremble of excitement, maybe even anticipation.

"So this is the world that you've created? The creatures you've filled it with?" Khrona respected strength. Koudo wondered if he'd habitated his world with more creatures of such caliber as this Budou. He was speaking rhetorically, but he expected Cleff to answer him with a long winded explanation about what kind of creature Budou was and where Koudo could find more of them, if he was interested.

Koudo wasn't.

"You're quite strong, warrior. Do you have a name?" He only liked this one.

Budou smiled at the considerable acknowledgement from the wayfarer, bowing deeply to him with a soft smile on its face.

Once finally inquired of, it spake, "I am Budou, and I am a Chomao." As it spoke, it seemed to know only basic things about itself and not much about other beings. "I am made to adapt to any situation or style, and to grow stronger by continually adapting." Beyond that, it did not seem that Budou had anything else to explain. The answer was very direct and straight-forward, and once he was done talking, he would suddenly become unusually silent. Naturally, though it was not being 'Engage'd, it was still readied on 'Standby' for anything else that might occur.

"Thank you for acknowledging me," said Budou, who was now adapting to even just that. It brought a brighter, warmer smile to its face and made him look a little less emotionless, despite the smile seeming stuck on his face afterward. "I have noticed your strategy, and the tactical retreat was very wise." Budou spoke confidently and only with the sharp, technical eyes of a fighter, much like Koudo. "You have my respect," it went on to say, acknowledging Koudo's respect of its power, despite how it was still only growing stronger as it was. "I can continue if you are capable, as well." Unfortunately, Budou's general experience was through learning and adapting through combat and challenges that would be too much for it, forcing it to adapt. Therefore, it only truly understood how to continually adapt, and when it was not, it was actually not developing at all. It required beings that were both stronger or more skilled so that it could become more developed in what it learned and already knew. Thus, Budou was primarily always searching for those qualities in order to find fulfillment in its life.

"I am a Chomao that has the ability of Adaptation," Budou continued on, rather motionless, despite there being an emotion on his face. "I know only that I am a Chomao and not much about what one is." Budou was given limited knowledge, much as the other Chomao that were not made to realize that they were Chomao immediately, such as the others that were made knowing their purpose, or born that way. Budou was not one of those types of Chomao. Its only knowledge was of what its purpose was, and not much about its existence. That much was to be learned, much as it was with other living beings that grew and evolved naturally through experiences. So Budou was lucky enough to have 'Potential', which not everything in the Veritas had.

"Will we continue battling?" Budou inquired, bowing slightly and placing a fist in his palm, something like a Chinese Martial Artist. "I am prepared to continue, if you are."

It seemed impolite for Budou not to ask about the two who were in front of him, however, he was the type that learned through the experience of action and not exactly verbally. These sorts of emotional exchanges were more sophisticated than Budou was presently, and as such, Budou did not fully comprehend those social cues, such as to ask someone's name after they ask your own. Yet, thinking about it helped Budou to comprehend, and as such, it would finally ask, "Who are you two?" It was only from Koudo's tactic before that Budou even adapted to understand why it was asking out of politeness, because otherwise, Budou would not inquire at all. He remained in a semi-bowed state, patiently awaiting a response of some kind, physical or verbal.
