Seeds of the original race of Cacti Scarecrows, which were the second type of Scarecrows born after the Pumpkin-headed Scarecrows. The Cactees were the offspring that grow into other derivative types, but their ancestry is rooted firmly in Dimensia, where the original Cacti Scarecrows were born.

Species Info

Cactees, like the Pumpkin Heads, are seeds of their specific subspecies of Scarecrow. The Pumpkin Headed Scarecrows were vessels for the Lanterns, but the Cactees were hollow, and they were also cacti. They became Devourists, and they specialized in the power of absorption, or 'Devourism'.

Because they are still related to the Lanterns and are considered Scarecrows, they are also dimensional beings, just like their counterparts. Cactees are the seed forms, which are the 'Child' versions that grow into larger Cactees. Sometimes, their thorns have different types of secretions that determine other defining factors about them and their evolution or usefulness.

When a Cactee dies for any reason, it is capable of going through a dimensional transition that counts as an evolution, because the planes of life and death are the same for this dimensional creature. Because of this, they lose their physical life and mature into a spiritual life seamlessly after death, immediately maturing into its next stage of life, known as the Spectrus.

It is a Ghost Cactus that tends to Haunt an area where its physical vessel died, but it is usually still sentient and very much capable of normal tasks. They look like small cacti wearing festive hats, with disembodied hands normally balled into fists, and with ghostly tails. They have very long, extensible tongues that they use to sense the atmosphere for various things.

During the development of the Cactees, it was noticed that the standard evolution into a Cactus did not have refined strength or offensive capabilities, and was wholly immobile. So over time, there was a strain of Cactee that became both mobile and whole prickles grew into large and bulky thorns and horns, which also secreted toxins. These Cactees were known then as the warrior-class strain that would actively defend the normal types that were immobile and somewhat defenseless, in order to protect their population. Thorns are the immature version of the fully matured Spike Hat Cactees, and they spend their youth constantly fighting and honing their potency.

Cactus creatures that pretend to be inanimate cacti. They have VERY high evasive maneuvers, making them very hard to hit. They also have very good defense and counter attacks, making them a nuisance as well. Cactines are prone to flee while in a fight, however, since they are very timid and enjoy keeping to themselves.
