Pokemon Fanfic; Pokken World

In the spare time of the Master Control unit of the Veritas, Grand Tabrynth, it partook of many virtual ventures, video game inclusive. It always kept itself stimulated in at least some form, because boredom was its sworn enemy, as was law of the Great Mind that this thing represented. So, after being allowed to learn the mechanics of the Nintendo Switch Pokken Tournament Game, the Grand Tabrynth was inspired to simulate a Pokken game that isn't just a fighting game, but an open world adventure game that still functioned exactly like Pokken Tournament -- except with no boundaries or ring, except in certain instances.

This sort of idea would revolutionize all of Pokemon games, and Grand Tabrynth wanted to see it happen so very badly, he started to fabricate a facsimile of what it could possibly be like, just to satisfy his own wishes for such a glorious supergame. The game mechanics would be used forevermore for both open world and fighting games.

So, the Great Mind studied what it could of Pokken Tournament and recreated it blended with an Elden Ring-like open world, except bearing all of the other normal regular functions of a Pokemon game, including the new open world features and all old mechanics combined.

In this design Grand Tabrynth created, the Pokemon were able to learn all of their natural moves naturally by level up, which adds to their 'Move List' and allows for customization. Instead of only learning Four Moves, with the advancement of Pokemon Battles, Pokemon are now able to retain more tactics, and thus also use more skills in battle more readily without Power Points. This is due to the Gaia Energy overflowing after the events of Shadow Mewtwo, and Mewtwo dedicating his help to the healing of the Pokemon World.

Instead of the mechanics of a standard Pokemon game's combat system, the Pokemon instead face off in the Pokken Tournament fighting style, and are allowed to be more versatile and adaptable with their moves. Each 'Button Command' is able to have one 'Move' that is 'Set' to it, and each one can use each 'Move' repeatedly, with each different 'Button Command' using the same 'Move' in a different way. This way, it simulates the growth of the actual Pokemon through the fighting, and allows for greater 'Customization'.

Of course, such a project could not encompass all of the Pokemon World right away, but gradually, over time, after more and more developments to the game, with downloadable content, extensions, or entirely new games, more and more Pokemon and Pokemon Moves would be programmed into the game, and with them new Locations where they are located, using each and every territory that has ever been in a main Pokemon game. That way, when a new Region is released, so are the Pokemon signature to the Region, as well as Pokemon Moves.

Either way, this was the general schematics of the Pokken World. With the Pokemon evolving in ways never seen before, so too would Trainers learn to deal with a world where the Pokemon became much more intelligent, but also much more dangerous. No longer would a Pokemon be using one single move the same way over and over as its only mean of defense, with a maximum of four moves, and an ability. Now, they would have access to all of their moves and whatever manner of combat that was natural for them or that they were capable of learning, even if picking up from human society.

This was the symbol of the finalization of the integration of Pokemon and Humans... And as this all came to a head, so too would a new Pokemon linked to it all... One that related to both Arceus and also Humans. This hidden Pokemon was responsible for overseeing this, and its appearance could only occur when Humans and Pokemons came this far in their union. And of all the Pokemon, this was the only one... That was also an actual Human.

As it stood right now, Pokken, a fighting tournament for Pokemon, happened in the Ferrum Region only. Different things happened in different regions in the Pokemon World all of the time, and new discoveries happened all over the Pokemon World everyday, whether they were connected with each other or not. Whether it was a new evolution, a new type, or a new Pokemon altogether, something was always going on and discoveries were made.

However, it was only in the Ferrum Region where the Pokemon were affected by the Gaia Energy to the point where they evolved to a degree of having greater fighting potential. But, it was easily spreading all across the rest of the Pokemon World very quickly. With how Pokemon could travel on their own, how Trainers carried Pokemon, and all sorts of other manners in which this sort of matter could expand into the wilderness, it didn't take long for the Pokemon of such evolved potential in the Ferrum Region would reach the other Pokemon Regions and awaken the same potential in Pokemon across the Pokemon World.

As such, the Ferrum Region, after the Pokken Tournament, has become a hotspot for Pokemon Professors and Researchers everywhere. An unprecedented amount of them flocked to Ferrum to research this phenomenal development in Pokemon and study it further, though even with all the top Pokemon Professors on it, they were still needed in their own Regions, and could not stay in Ferrum for very long.

But Ferrum was fortunate enough to have its own Professor -- Professor Sakura! Her trusty assistant, Nia, carried out many of her tasks, and the two of them worked day and night to handle all the new Trainers that would come from far and wide to participate in Pokken and also to start a Pokemon Journey in Ferrum, or with a Pokemon that has its potential heightened, even in another region. Many skilled Trainers were given Pokemon so that they could teach wild Pokemon their combat skills and awaken their potentials through combat, but that process would still take time.

All such exposition would lead the new Main Character, starting their Pokemon Journey, to the Pokemon Lab of Professor Sakura. From there, the typical Pokemon Adventure Professor Talk would happen.

Professor Sakura was a beautiful and mature woman, who was gorgeous in beauty and filled with an elegant, regal grace. She didn't at all look like she should be a Pokemon Professor, nor any type of regular person. Her eyes were as sleek as her long and straight, black hair. However, the tint and sheen of her hair had pinkish hues, and her eyes were just the same as her hair. She wore a lab coat, but her clothes underneath seemed... Gothic. Her appearance, gorgeous as she was, did not match her job, nor did her job or her appearance match her name, which was Sakura.

Professor Sakura: "... My, is it this time already? Yet another Trainer seeking to start their Pokemon Journey in Ferrum. Well then, I suppose I should give you the basics... I am Professor Sakura, the Pokemon Professor of the Ferrum Region. And this... Is a Pokemon."

At that point, Professor Sakura would repeat what was usually said to introduce a Pokemon Game, but would also include hints at the new things going on, which were covered in the exposition, and meant to be applied to this moment of informing.

Professor Sakura: "... Ah, but yes... As fascinating as all of these new developments in the Pokemon World are... Let's bring the conversation back. What is your name, Trainer, and how would you like to be identified?"
