Vainglorious Bastard; The Sin Of Vainglory Chapter 2; Omnia Vanitas

The time that passed exceeded what Vainglory anticipated, and still continued on, but still he gleaned everything he wanted and more, and wanted even more from it, which was why the process was taking so long -- he was getting distracted by himself, and everything he could do, which extended the period of time he -wanted- to keep the little Vanities he used to exalt himself alive, because it actually did entertain him to entertain himself using them, and they were only vestiges meant to serve the purpose of himself superimposing himself into them and then masturbating using them.

"I Am Responsible For Getting Everyone Out Of The Vainglory That Remains As Evidence After This Sort Of Procedure Occurs Once 'The Game' Has Been Won, Reset And/Or Lost (Which Is Its Own Manual Overwrite Reset Code." Obviously, from his words, in this timeskip, he had set them up to be playing a game, all to gratify his own powers that he used through them. So, they weren't really playing a game -- he was, and they were his pieces to play with, thinking they were the players of the game that they would one day win instead of just be trapped in, playing, as the pieces to be moved by someone else who -would- win one day.

If he could... Stop playing, that is. It had been years, actually, since he said that.

Clearly, from the way he spoke, the 'game' that he was playing had spiraled out of control and magnified into some kind of 'God-Complex' type thing, and he was playing God, trying to see which of the lowly things could potentially be like him. "All Of The Flaws, Flawed Or Defective Of The Bunch Fall Into Systematic Errors Or Glitches And Are Automatically Factored Out Of The Formula That Is Calculated From Them All Coming Together As A Solution." He didn't even want to find out who was like him for the sake of honoring them as Gods, but simply because he wanted the information so he could use it for something else entertaining to himself later, knowing he would grow bored sooner than later if the ones with the greatest potential were knocked out first. He saw that early on, when he lost some good ones during gameplay.

Whilst he was playing God, he was enjoying doing things like God, as God over everything and everyone, unquestionably.

But it was also clear he was not only invested in a game he was playing, but... He'd created an entire... Story. Based on the events. As well. "... And Here, David Learns His Lesson About Being A Good Example Before Everyone And Also What It Means To Be The King As A God Instead Of The King As A Lesser Role, As Well As Why He Was Wrong About Both Bathsheba And Absalom, As Well As His Men And What He Was Doing To Saul And The House Of Saul, Even Though It Seemed Good, Plus Why God Did As He Did When Allowing Him To Be The King And Attempting To Establish The House Of God As The City Of David At Mt. Zion In Order To Teach Everyone Else Down The Line Who Ever Becomes A God-King Or Supreme Leader What Their Downfall Will Be Like For Setting A Bad Example -- God-King, Supreme Leader Vainglory."

And enjoying playing the scenarios out, just because he had so many variable ways of doing so, and even had some of them copied and pasted. He was enjoying his Vanities, which reflected what he wanted, or became what he wanted, as long as he influenced them properly toward what their own Vanity would shape them based on their own personal perceptions -- which was what Vainglory manipulated to make this happen, and alter their freewill using their own minds rather than actually touching the freewill itself.

Entertaining as it all was for Vainglory, and he was not at all bored nor disinterested, he did feel like he wanted to be more involved, and that he could do more. He was magnifying himself again, and now it was natural, so he was actively wanting to do and be more for the sake of gratifying his own Vainglory of the fact that he could do it, and not really any other reason. Just because he thought of it over time, and it came to him. Simple as that. He didn't see why not, and it wasn't as if he'd turn it down when he -could- do something he -liked- and -wanted-. "Mine Spirit Is Exhausted From Acedia... A Grave Deadly Sin, Like Vainglory..."

He even glorified himself when in a state of deflation. "My Own Toxic Secretions Are Aphrodisiacs To Myself That Make My Own Venom More Potent And Virulent Every Time I Am Magnified In Mine Vainglory."

But, the clouds would dim, and the realm exposed to his light -- which also dimmed, and changed to a more somber color -- would darken as well, tinted in an insidious, purple light... Something that gave an overbearing, completely, totally different feeling of oppressive pressure of his presence. A sign that he'd shifted his thoughts or feelings -- something that happened rarely, but enough to be recognized amongst the Vanities, some of which had started to recognize that this happened, despite not being able to see beyond the North Gate's seal up into the Void Sky. The actual Void Sky's tint around the void and the color of the realm shifted, and they finally realized that there was another overlord being over them again, like with SIN. " ... This Is Troublesome To Me. I Can No Longer Look At Them. This Does Happen Every Now And Then When I Witness Too Many... Inferior Sins. But This One... This One Is Indicative That We're Almost At The Very End." The time it took for Vainglory to have the capacity to see beyond himself gave him perspective to magnify about everything else influenced by him, which he could -literally only perceive =because=- they were like him and would -actively not recognize- in any way, to even make any acknowledgement of at all, if otherwise.

He related the entire sinful experience in Hell to the actual things that God had done, and how he was so instrumental as a sin, he was being used. He realized that this was God's plan... And God used him to make it so. And he was the last one standing because this was his time to be what he was chosen and designed to be. For the sake of God. "We May Have Entered The 'Vainglory' Stages... The Worst Of Them All." He chuckled, light steadying. "I Should Avert My Eyes." Of course, he would do so, just to honor himself, to himself, by his own vanity, with his own personal standards of recognition, signature to only himself, which would only make sense specifically totally to himself, especially if left unspoken or unexplained. "This One Will Surely Wipe Out Any Who Lays Eyes On It." He magnified his glorification of himself, which generated a new light -- a completely golden tinted light, which was completely overbearing and overpowering, glittering and sparkling, but totally overwhelming in every way, to the point of being obnoxious, and even just regularly noxious and toxic. "Rest In Peace... I Don't Even Think I Should Warn Them. No, I Really Do Think It Best To Just Go On My Merry Way." That is, he'd just keep doing whatever he wanted. "This Is What They Wanted, Otherwise We Wouldn't Be Here. Freewill, And All Such." Vainglory laughed haughtily, gazing upon his creations. "If They Wish To Allow The Greatest Of Sins To Consume Their Whole Species, Then So Be It. To Think, They Would Be Wiped Out By Vainglory, Of All The Sins." His haughty laughter grew into hysterical, condescending, raucously haughty laughter. "But, What Other Sin Is Powerful Enough?!"

And, as he laughed, and gazed yon, seeing and foreseeing, he whispered to himself, "Everything Is Meaningless... Omnia Vanitas..."

Unexpected to Vainglory, the Vanities, which were finally aware that a -sentient- entity was messing with them, which explained their behavior for the past several times and again, they had quite the melting pot of feelings, which stewed, but came to naught. They didn't even know what it was, let alone what they could do about it, and didn't even really understand what it was doing, if anything at all. All they could tell was that one day, they suddenly started getting everything they wanted, and oftentimes, it harmed them, and sometimes even killed them or damaged them irreparably. But all that mattered was that they were getting everything they wanted. It wasn't even like it was such a huge change... It was kind of gradual, and seemed more like some sort of movement or revolution amongst Sinners and Demons in Hell.

But now... Now, they couldn't shake the feeling that it was all amounting to something a lot more sinister, which was being influenced by the shifting light that sometimes changed, which did actually make a resilient, resplendent light the very day of. But they just thought it was a Fallen Angel or Lucifer or something. Maybe... It was? They didn't consider that it might be something controlling them... But if it could do all of this, why should they care, right?

This was all to Vainglory's plan -- that is to say, they would only think of their gratification of self, and not who or what gave it to them, nor why, thus illustrating the blinding and deafening of senses that Vanity causes as a self-preservation measure of itself, which other Sins copy in order to sustain themselves. They would then brush off whatever the influence was that brought them the glorification or satisfaction of Vanity, which allowed Vainglory to seep and creep and leak its way into their lives, and off the high place where it put itself, so it could... Do what else it wanted. Because it wanted to.

However, what was also not anticipated was that some of the Vanities were actually developing, and taking on images that were unsightly to Vainglory, because they were imperfect and forged by Vanity contaminated by impurity, imperfection, and other flaws, faults, or defects, which sickened and disgusted Vainglory to see. So, he took it as an insult, done on purpose, to offend him, on purpose, and the threat of that alone was enough to incur an insatiable wrath within him. "The Image Alone Is Nothing But Something That Is An Attempt To Make Me Look Even Lesser Than That Yet Is Also Equivalently A Veil That Both Cleans Up The Mess And Reveals The Truth By The Substance Of The Mess, Itself." Though quite wroth, he was rationalizing the information, because now, he didn't just reflect and refract light, but also all information in all its forms, and pure energy. Basically, everything -- not just light. "It Doesn't Actually Remain Stained And Is Easily Manually Overwritten Based On Facts, Foundation, Truth And Personal Value, Account And Record That Is Not Falsified Or Appearing To Be So."

Just Fool's Gold that the people above put down to trick people, and that lesser people fling to make others look bad on image alone. It only goes in one place and often is given to someone who deserves it or is capable of dealing with it, unless you, yourself make it. The more that is made that are not for the deserving party end up being inversely credited to the one being targeted as 'Superego Supervanity.'

Now convincing himself that he could dwell amongst the uglies, -- and if not, to destroy them with his presence after they saw who he was, no longer as Vanity, but Vainglory -- Vainglory would consider all the tasks at hand for that, such as how to upkeep the Vanities... Which he thought of as spawn for his usefulness, and didn't at all regard the actual flesh vessels attached to them, nor even the souls that the Vanities were implanted it -- all of that was their fodder to grow from parasitism. Yes, it was clear that Vainglory was recognizing the Vanities as offspring, and therefore still worthy of his sight, until he had no use for them.

"Yes... They're Starting To Want To Live For The Sake Of Self-Preservation..." It was easy to instill or incur that in a Sinner or Demon, but to have it be utilized as a method of control and manipulation was strictly Vainglory's game. "... Which Means My Larvae I Have Asexually Impregnated Them With Are Becoming Self-Aware Of Themselves And Their Hosts, And Will Parasite Food To Grow..." This meant Vainglory would have to start feeding them, and not just playing with them -- to actually take care of them, like a parent.

Not for the sake of having them grow and eventually live a life, but literally legitimately just to be of greater service and also research for later, especially if they were defective as is. They would  be reaped of all their useful information and replaced, then the information would be redistributed and processed in a better model -- a more evolved one. "So, From What I've Gleaned So Far," he noted, with gleaming eyes, "Vanities Eat Ego, Pride, And Vanity!" Which was funny, because they were cannibals, and couldn't at all distinguish themselves as the same entity -- or, likely didn't want to -- because they wanted to be the -only- of that entity, not seeing a greater version of the -same- entity already exists, and feels the same way, and will extinguish them one day by simply absorbing and overriding their previous existence they groomed for themselves, all to vanity; all in vain.

"Omnia Vanitas..." Vainglory repeated, suddenly salivating, his ethereal hair flaring up, and teeth sharpening to fangs. Just thinking about how tasty those Vanities would be when good and plump and puffed up, like a souffle... The sweetest fruit thus far.

Yet, as he felt this, it was projected and mirrored in the Vanities, who became ravenous... For more Vanity. Both for and from themselves -and- everyone and everything else. And would consume each other by experiencing each other and forcing one Vanity to submit or be consumed, or to be ruptured to a point of being fractured to disrepair.

The battle was actually rather devastating on every level -- psychological, spiritual, physical... And beyond.
