You are led to a City, looking something like a normal, standard, general environment. It is littered with buildings as tall as the skyscrapers will allow, each with rows and columns of glowing windows, as though there was activity inside each of them. Yet in spite of this, you notice that there are no inhabitants to this City at all, though all the lights inside the buildings are on.

Above this grounded City, there is a mountainous pearly white City hovering just above it, as if resting on a halo-like cloud, and gleaming brightly in contrast to the darkness of all the grayed and blackened buildings that are rooted to the ground.

Above that, even, there is a large, glowing yellow heart in the sky, shining its light down like a spotlight on the brightly shining white City above the dark one.

You begin on the ground level, in the dark city, with the buildings that are separated from each other.

Overlord Tensei appeared in the most foul looking substance, gazing about at all the 'Eyes,' as he called them, about the overbearing dark city. "... Not Even Looking At What's Above You..." He shook his head slowly, chuckling to himself. "If Only They Knew..." Not even paying the watchful eyes an eye, mind that they were actually always constantly watching, Overlord Tensei would make himself the center of attention, being as though he were the only thing that was there anyway. "Though, I do admit that the spectacle itself is something marvelous to behold..." It soothed the eyes, to a certain degree, even in the foulness of its design. "Clever Witch..." He pressed his two mosaic palms together at the fingertips, muttering this under his breath contemplatively. Then he started to laugh casually to himself.

Before getting distracted by the actual awe of the design, Overlord Tensei remembered not to get distracted and immediately focused on the goal. "I Am The Seeker Of Darkness," Overlord Tensei cried out to the Darkness, itself, that lie in the Castle above. "I Have Come For Thee." He looked around, keeping a watchful eye around him.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 22, 2016 7:52 pm

???: You asked for it, pal...

Suddenly, the City began to move, as if alive, with buildings bouncing about as though they were filled with liveliness. Some retracted to and fro into the ground, like a whack-a-mole poking its head out and hiding from you in a rhythmic mechanical pattern, and many of the lights flashing on and off like slots.

Of all the hustling and bustling buildings of the empty city, many lines of them were sliding toward you in opposition, keeping you from passing them by once they appeared and hurled at you. Just that quickly, the entire lifeless city of darkness went into operation on command. The gleaming monitors overhead focused on the new target, which was like a specimen for research, and focused all attention from afar on the single object that was not inside one of the giant building bearing down on the streets of the darkness.

When the City came to life, somehow, so did the Shadows that lived in the City's code to spawn like a machine endlessly from the corners and crevices of the city's structure. These shades would dash out madly and wildly at you swiping their claws viciously. They were like an army of black ants rushing toward a single target from nearly every angle.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 22, 2016 8:20 pm

Overlord Tensei's eyes flashed at the Revelation of the image of the City. "I Think I'm Gonna Be Sick." He fell to his knees momentarily in an almost comical fashion, but still seeming to be weak somehow at both the sight and the thought and the actuality and the fullness of the realization, as if the revelation itself were somehow also hazardous. A certain backlash like a double-edged sword.

Without letting himself get too wrapped up in the ugliness of all of these things he was gracious enough not to have seen until just now coming together in the past and the future simultaneously before his very eyes, Overlord Tensei would thrust himself up from the ground and back to his feet, finding himself surrounded by Heartless of the most basic classification; 'Shadows.' "Rephaim?!" He cried, waving his hands about manically. "That must be a requirement." He shook his head. These things were also disappointing to have to look at. "And I think I understand how the 'Emblems' work, too. The 'Belial' system?" It certainly did fit the image of the manual. "... Yet... Somehow..."

Overlord Tensei rose high into the air, just above the Heartless, where a large mosaic crystal hand flickering barely visibly in reality would reveal itself under him, and its claws all sprawled out over the small creatures. He thrust one of the sharp fingertips down like a spike or pole and struck the first once that would come near, gradually crawling his way over them whilst resting himself on the wrist of the crystalline claw. Every so often, if too many accumulated underneath, the palm would smash down suddenly with great force and clear out the area. "You're Missing Something, Aren't You...?" Overlord Tensei, as his skeletal, spider-like crystal hand took care of the threat below for as long as they should spawn, would look up to the large yellow moon with a shimmering, glistening eye. "... Probably Just Some Ice Cream, Like Everyone Else..." He shook his head, chuckling, and crossed his arms. "Oh, Children..." He smiled warmly at the thought, as if it were sand, and a leisurely day at the coast of a beach.

"..." More things started to make sense to him, then. "You Know Who I Am, Don't You?" Overlord Tensei's eyes flashed crimson briefly, yet to green, then to their normal Crystal Blue. His face became blank and expressionless, and his eye lost its luster as he looked on at the 'Shadows,' and whatever other 'Heartless' spawned in the ugly, sickening 'City.' When his eye flashed, the hand below him suddenly twinged and destroyed something randomly outside of the range and radius of the natural reach of the hand as it was, like it had spontaneously shifted size and proportion spontaneously and cleared out the area in a single motion. Moving along the streets whilst he had a chance, Overlord Tensei's crystal palm would scuttle toward one of the buildings and crawl upon the surface of it toward the next destination of the dark City.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 22, 2016 9:17 pm

Ominous and ambiguous laughter was heard.

A voice echoed in the air, "You don't know who I am..." and faded.

Another of the same caliber and different pitch continued, "But I know who you are," before fading into faint laughter.

The dark City continued to mass produce the Heartless like a factory or a machine and they jumped out without cease nor number all the while Overlord Tensei trampled over them. The sharp red gleam in the eye was seen and noted for speculation, of which the sound of a shocked gasp could be heard. "You Know Where To Go," a different voice cried out from beyond, seeming more sharp than the other two.

In the distance, near the center of the city, there was a hotel-like building with an enormous flashing neon sign like that of a casino's around the entrance and a platform of stairs trailing down toward the street level.

???: Take a walk down memory lane, why don't ya?

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Babylo10

The building was imposingly tall over Dark City and the rest of the tiny buildings under it, of which it also seemed to be monitoring expectantly, as if waiting for any of the buildings bouncing around to move about more vivaciously and recklessly, and the Heartless spawning endlessly from the factorial perpetuation. The only building not moving at all was that one, and it was flashing much more brightly than any other, being as flashy as the day itself. There was so much glitz and glitter about it, it seemed nearly overdressed, yet at the same time both fitting and alluring. Simultaneously, you would think it not to be your type of environment for every reason why, be it social class, stature, economics, morality, or even religious views, but it also seemed like it was the only option that wasn't just simulated perpetuity by the city, itself.

The Crystal Hand carried Overlord Tensei toward the ominous skyscraper that stood out among the city by scaling each of the other ones and avoiding the shifting ones. He furrowed his brow, as if something in his mind were being strained severely. "Ugh. Babylon..." He had enough of this accursed city in his own World, let alone in another one. "Why Can't You Just Come Get Me If You Know Who And What I Am Before I Got Here?" Overlord Tensei inquired logically, knowing that protocol was of a top priority in his own calculations in his initial decision. "You just want to see what I can do, I take it?" He smiled, but rolled his eyes to the side. "I still don't... want to look at this ugly mess."

Scurrying right along to the front of the large building, of which Overlord Tensei could only look up at callously and see all types of foul and horrible things playing through his head, even beyond the perverse images on the screen, being broadcast just as pure as day all over the entire city, as if seeking attention from the masses that were withdrawing inwardly to seek attention from others in the same way. Overlord Tensei could see why the Shadows were appearing endlessly, with the machine actively spawning its babies. "I Don't Want It To Remain Alive For Too Much Longer." He had to close his eyes as he walked closer to the building, and keep his own emotions contained in a restrained look upon his face. "... Such Children..." he muttered, groaning pained under his breath. "Just The Actual Sight Of It Makes Me Queasy." It wouldn't be so traumatic if it actually weren't the truth. "This Is Not A Toy." Yet, he could see that everyone was treating it, and Overlord Tensei's actual presence here, as one.

"Fortunately for you I also... Just so happen to want to have a little fun, so I suppose I can spare the lecture for once," he would say as he entered the center of the platform where the building was, having not once left from atop his spider-like skeletal claw. "I just know that time is not exactly our friend here." Maybe that was just him. Yet, something felt impending about his arrival, and placement where he should be, and all as quickly as possible. There were many other things to come that would need to actually be dealt with long after the Organization XIII were met with in their ivory tower floating up above. "If it were, don't you think I'd enjoy the scenery just a bit more?" He chuckled lightly, placing his sleeve up to his lips and hiding his mouth.

Just then, a different voice, much deeper and more solemn than any other, would speak out, sounding very near to Overlord Tensei. "Time May Not Be Your Friend... But The Darkness Is Not Your Foe."

Soon after, Overlord Tensei was greeted with another horde of Heartless, mindlessly trolling along, yet with their larger, more defined and powerful 'Neo Shadows' following right behind, and sporadically appearing from the ground, seemingly from inconspicuous places where gaps and small crevices held even the tiniest faintest trace of Darkness.

At the entrance to the largest, most prominent tower in all the Dark City, a greater Darkness, with large arms crossed firmly and securely like a lock, would appear as an apparition before the door, itself, almost as though it were part of it.

Overlord Tensei would not be able to pass into 'Memory's Skyscraper' until he overcame the Darkness, great and small, all around him.

"..." Overlord Tensei was already calculating each of the words that came out of the abyss as they were spoken, knowing very well to give to the Void equally as was bestowed from it. He chose his next words carefully.

When he opened his Eye next, it would be pitch black. "... Heartless..." Within the Darkness, Overlord Tensei already forged a D-link with the Heartless, and each of them were linked to his own Heartless, which was feasting on every last one of the ones that were destroyed, drawing greater power through the consumption of the Souls that were trapped inside of them, and then hording them just the same as the other 'Heartless;' an exact 'Pureblood.' "... Shadow..." With a single sweep of the same arm that was lifted up to his lips, in a flickering distorted blur his arm passed over the ones he was already prepared to further absorb and assimilate with the larger Darkness.

In the shadow of his movement, as if happening long after his arm returned to its place right over his mouth thoughtfully, a large pitch black claw, bursting from the same Darkness that the Heartless spawned from in the first place, in their shadows. As it consumed them, it grew from a crystalline Hand to an entire Arm, and would immediately dip back into the pools of darkness from whence it came, with the end of the arm cutting off at the end in an aqueous manner. The area should have been cleared out. This time, when the Heartless endlessly respawned, they belonged to Overlord Tensei."Hmhmhm..."

Once All Was Consumed And The Living Shadow Disappeared, Overlord Tensei's Pitch Black Eye Filled With Color, And Emotion To His Face Once He Giggled To Himself. Again.

"Well Done..." The True 'Seeker Of Darkness' muttered, stepping from out of the shadow of his own shadow, being naught but a shadow of yet another discarded, shed form. He knew his place, especially about being at the gateway.

"I'd Almost Say I'd Seen Enough..."
Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Ansem_10
"... If I Didn't Want To See More."

The Heartless Guardian that hovered behind the Seeker, himself, wearing his own signature black jacket draped all the way to the length of his calves. It had some embroideries, but it did not detract from his prominent white spiked hair and his stern face of golden eyes. The Guardian, which was bid away without motion or cause, would sink into the building, attached a different source like a shadow than of the man, himself. "Surely, You Already Know Who I Am And My Cause." There wasn't an Ansem still walking the Present that didn't enjoy the thrill of the 'Test.' "Now, Show Us Yours!" The Seeker Of Darkness raised into the air, perfectly still, with his arms crossed and his feet just lightly hovering above the ground. He bid himself closer to Overlord Tensei, seeking to engage him directly. There was a certain look on his face and in his eye.

Overlord Tensei looked on at Ansem, Seeker Of Darkness in childish awe and wonderment. "Ooo!! I just thought of the best thing, too!" Overlord Tensei was always crafting new Arts at all times, and whenever spontaneity hit, so did his techniques. The flickering crystalline mosaic hands hovering below his sleeve would blur to the point of distortion, no longer looking like hands, but rather balls of pure static and nullified objectification entirely.

All around Ansem, vicious giant shadowy spider hands would lash out at him sporadically, seeking to attach to him in some way, shape or form, and each of them in a different image.

Every so often, Overlord Tensei's crystal palm would become visible from the static sphere floating below his sleeves. Then, it would suddenly flicker back into static, no longer being definite nor physical any longer.

The spider hands spawned at the natural generation rate of the entire Dark City itself, and each of the Heartless would be bid to attack Ansem in their new form, repurposed to and for Overlord Tensei's liking.

Suddenly, larger ones began to appear, and they looked like giant swiping arms with sharp, skeletal claws attached, and like they'd already been done long before the visibility of it could be picked up in the vacuum. Like with the first Heartless that were consumed, the large Dark Claw was able to sweep across the entire area every time it appeared.

As Ansem approached Overlord Tensei, he, too, would rise into the air gently, but deftly, with his eye closing softly. He raised the arm of his sleeve and swiped randomly, both in and out of sync with the actual mechanically generated attacks going on automatically all around him. It seemed like he was both swiping wildly with his arm and also in sync simultaneously, but only sometimes.

Mighty sweeps of a bulging dark arm crashed into those of the opponent, knocking away and crushing on collision each of the smaller spider-like hands, something like dealing with lowly Heartless 'Shadows.' "Interesting," Ansem analyzed, as the Guardian's blows clashed with the ones crossing over the area. Ansem's body would be protected from the blows.

When Overlord Tensei threw his sleeve out aggressively, it would be bat away with a swift and large outward swipe, with energy already crackling in the other hand that hadn't moved from its place yet.

"Submit!" He cried out sharply at the exact moment he saw an opening in Overlord Tensei's erratic movements. Chiefly, Ansem thrust his glowing palm directly into Overlord Tensei's chest, with a powerful concussive explosive force bursting from the point of impact on contact. Should it not connect, all of it would be kept stored in Ansem's palm.

When Ansem knocked away Overlord Tensei's sleeve, he would spiral into a swift spin, a backlash of which was something like the crack of a whip.

The other sleeve opposite the first flickered before Ansem's palm full of darkness and, in the exact point that the static void was, crystallize his Crystal Hand using the absorbed energy used to create the crystal instantaneously, itself. "Halt," Overlord Tensei cried. Yet, none of the shadowy claws obeyed. Instead, they continued to replicate, whilst Overlord Tensei's hand locked with Ansem's.

That very same instant, Overlord Tensei opened his single visible eye, which also seemed to be frozen, and having a sharp glint to it different from the lucidity that fluctuated before.

In the very next instant, the crystallized palm disappeared, unlocking both of them from their contact and Overlord Tensei's sleeve fell back beside him, with all of the force used to put him into motion also having been neutralized on contact when he halted himself and Ansem simultaneously. The suspended animation that kept the crystal in place would again be nothing but translucent flickering distortions.

The spawning claws continued keeping the Guardian at bay, so that it could not interfere.

???: Give that hand a Keyblade, and it might just be enough to take the whole Kingdom down.

The sound of distorted laughter was blotted out by the gutteral sounds of absorption in the multitudes through the vacuums of air pockets folding in from the drawing of energy.

"Guardian!" Ansem cried, drawing all attention to the next weak point calculated in Overlord Tensei's defense. Where he perceived that the Guardian was only capable of using its arms to parry the ceaseless blows, the body would suddenly appear sporadically, yet still somehow seamlessly in sync with the arms that blocked the strikes coming from all around. "... Very Interesting, Indeed..." The Seeker Of Darkness replied, more to himself than to anything or anyone else. Where the body came out to defend Ansem sequentially, the head suddenly appeared overhead with a downward headbutt.

This opening would be yet another swipe of the palm, which hadn't moved yet from its place until Overlord Tensei was acting, and the condensed energy that had been drawn into it earlier would be launched immediately as a projectile, something like a glowing disc, and seemingly both casually but authoritatively.

The sound of low humming could be heard.

The very instant energy was drawn by and to Ansem, the shadowy spider claws that were lashing out at him would pass through his arm of shadow and cling to him because he was drawing any energy at all. Nigh instantaneously, they would form upon his back and grip tightly, as they had said to have been spawning specifically in one instance, and bypass the darkness altogether, not even using it to touch Ansem and get a solid grip on him. The longer the crystalline claws touched him, the deeper they sunk into him, and more securely they fashioned themselves. As long as he drew any energy at all, it would leave a vacuum that could be drawn to the vacuous force of the consumption of any energy at all.

All too quickly, the shadowy blows that were going on outside the radius of just Overlord Tensei and Ansem stopped altogether, as if the entire city shut down on command, and was now contained just within striking distance of Ansem at all times, with the same generation ratio as the city creating the Heartless in the first place. Should they be destroyed, they would simply respawn endlessly, leaving Ansem having to face all of them constantly without ceasing and now never having an actual opening because of his necessity to defend himself at all times from the series of everlasting swiping spider-like skeletal crystal claws.

Meanwhile, Overlord Tensei himself, would drift backward out of the way of the shadow's headbutt strike, since it was too slow to catch up to Overlord Tensei's actual full perception of its coming. The further Overlord Tensei drifted away from Ansem, the more lucid and shimmery his eye became, no longer hardened like crystal or sharp with a glint one only finds on gems.

It was at that moment that Overlord Tensei began his actual movement, once he witnessed the fullness of his first moves actually beginning to come together. Sooner or later, he closed his eye again, continuing to drift backward as if falling into a pool lifelessly. His body faded away, as if it hadn't been there in the first place, yet simultaneously seemed to be appearing elsewhere. In his image, which was still in the process of fading, would he outstretch his hand as though he were going to catch the energy disc like a frisbee, yet also still just barely missed scraping it all before completely fading away and absorbing the energy and neutralizing the space at the exact same time.

"I Submit," Ansem cried, already having pieced together everything he needed to out of this battle. He drew no more energy after the crystal hands bypassed his shadow, but came to a complete halt, as if he were in stasis. He closed his eyes. His decision seemed to be final.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySun Oct 23, 2016 4:35 pm

"What?" Overlord Tensei's lucid gaze shattered like glass, or rather, popped like a bubble, bringing his focus abruptly to a different topic. The static hand that had absorbed the energy, still in motion for a sort of karate chop, would become a flicker like the gentle gust of wind and soft breeze, through Ansem's body, without actually touching him. The sleeve just barely tapped the edge of his coat, yet fell limp and softly back to Overlord Tensei's side, who would be standing completely opposite Ansem, back to back, looking down toward the ground somberly, and almost drearily.

Everything and everyone was motionless for at least this moment, or else a crystal hand would appear and snatch it and crush it, locking it in place for Overlord Tensei to do with what he desired, just as his others would have done to Ansem should he have drawn anymore energy. "... What Happened? You Must Be Honest With Me." The dreamy, far off look returned to his visible eye again, peering deeply into the ground, as if looking through it, and not at it. The gentle breeze of his passing carried his jacket to a sudden stillness, all with Overlord Tensei's halting in place, something like a zombie, yet with depth to his gaze rather than lifelessness. "... I thought it was fun. I always do. Usually."

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySun Oct 23, 2016 6:30 pm

In that moment of silence, Ansem thought deeply. Yet, even at the thought, he felt a collection of energy that would draw out yet another Crystal Spider, he deduced, and immediately let his mind come to a still. There was nothing else to do, and he knew this, as a program. It was as if he had completely shut down, yet still looked like he was breathing and moving.

Just then, a random voice started to chant in a singsonging fashion, "Congratulations bub!" Another followed behind.

???: You've joined the club.

Moments after, when it was safe to enter, a hooded figure stepped out from the Darkness of Dark City just the same as any Heartless or other creature that spawned from Darkness, as it seemed that this 'Overlord Tensei' had done, as well, like a 'Pureblood.' The voice continued, this time directly from the one that had appeared, "And everybody here agrees," before ceasing all momentum at the end of the sentence.

The dark, hooded figure stood relatively tall, wearing his black jacket only just a bit differently than the other standing construct behind Overlord Tensei. It covered the fullness of his form, draped in complete blackness, leaving no visible distinction of who it could be at all. The face was hidden by shadows of the dark hood, itself.

"Now, why don't we take you to see the real one?"

It was implied from the mechanics of the city and Ansem, himself, or, what was left of him, that this was only a simulation, and also the ground level. "No need to crawl up and down the city like some lowly Heartless." When the simulation decided that the battle had ended, that was the cue for the members of the Organization XIII, who would heed the husk of Ansem just the same as they would the actual Ansem, himself. "Besides. I'm sure the others are dying to meet you."

The hooded man awaited Overlord Tensei's response, doing nothing more, in case he would draw forth more of his crystal palms that had been observed.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptyTue Oct 25, 2016 7:57 pm

Overlord Tensei was silent for a while, falling again into Deep Thought, as he did. Though he was still coherent and fully aware, he stood motionless, something similar to the Ansem that was standing back to back against him. Certainly he, like any that came this far, wanted to see the true person, himself. Yet...

"... Only..." he started to say, finally gathering his thoughts and words. He paused for a bit, wondering if his request would be accepted. "..." Suddenly, he turned around, smiling widely and somewhat goofy, "Only if you play with me~!" He waved his sleeves around childishly, almost like a baby, yet flailed them profusely as if he were excited. "I think it's fun to get to know people that way. Why don't some of you come out and show me inside, in a fun way?" It seemed strange how Overlord Tensei's emotions functioned, and how sporadic his personality seemed to be, spontaneously shifting like this, but it was all who he was instead of being set, like most. He was a whole different person when doing different things, specifically because he was doing different things. When not engaged in combat, or, rather, when not being 'serious' when engaged in combat, he was something like a child or like a very mysterious regal figure. Yet, when he became serious, he seemed to be something like a wise elder and a stern master.

His Crystal Hand appeared on one of his sleeves with the two-fingered 'Victory' or 'Peace' sign, since he was bound to only the usage of one due to the other Seven being rooted to the Seven Princesses and dealing with sustaining them. "Well? Whaddaya say?" Somehow, Overlord Tensei, himself, seemed eager now that the pressure was off of him. He was a different person when pressure, tension or stress was applied than when he was relaxed, loose or lucid. Even with his clearly expressive expressions, he was an enigma and a labyrinth that people who knew him well could not decipher. There was always more to it than meets the eye, though all that made it up always equated to what appeared on the surface, in spite of what depth. It was probable that the members of the Organization would have a good time figuring it out. It may even help them gain the hearts they'd never had.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty

The low ripples of distorted, overlapping laughter, not more than chuckles, could be heard all around. It was not in jest, but seemingly in refreshing relief. The dark hooded figure that stood before him would lower his extended hand, chuckling, himself. "Is that all...?" he said with a bit of a hint of anticipation. "Then, why don't we roll out the red carpet, while we're at it!"

There was a snap of his fingers and, in two different locations at two different heights, there would be two more dark hooded figures looking nearly exactly the same as the first, save for their height, which, even still, was relatively around the same size. "Think you can keep up?" The figure said, with a dark corridor appearing behind him that he would slip into, only to appear further down the city's street, and then again once more, only to appear even further away, and then even once more, this time completely out of sight, with only the lingering fading trails of the dark corridors left behind for Overlord Tensei to follow. By the time the third had appeared, the first was already gone, and, by the time the next appeared, the second was faded away, and so on and so forth. This was his only available trail, and the two that were at different heights and angles would begin to traverse their own dark corridors in a similar fashion, though appearing from one rooftop to the next. It looked like they were all interchangeably moving around the city with no real clear definite distinction between any of them nor their trails left behind.

Overlord Tensei smirked, finding himself chuckling lightly, as well. "... You're just too kind." Though his voice had what seemed like a hint of sarcasm to it, it was all in good fun, and he shook his head, with a smile upon his face. "Better not lose em," he said to himself, knowing that they would probably not be coming back to hold his hand through the process. "Let's get going." He took off in the direction of the first fading portal, paying heed to the other two figures that appeared. Each of them looked similar, but knowing about the Organization XIII in advance, he knew that each of them were very different, especially in their personality and demeanor, if nothing else. He was also aware of their weapons and styles of combat, which would help him differentiate who was whom and where.

"Now, don't get mad at me if I don't know everybody's name and face and personality by heart," he explained as he took off running, with his handless sleeves fluttering in the wind behind him something like a ninja, and his feet tapping on the pavement just as fast, "I'm still actually very new to the entire World, itself." He made sure to keep track of at least one dark corridor that was in line of sight at a time, and also to check his 'mirrors and blind spots' so to speak up above the rooftops, where the other two revealed themselves. "Though, if you know so much about me..." Overlord Tensei started to say, taking his time to start running up the side of the buildings, yet still in the directions he saw the dark corridors, "Then I'm sure you already are prepared for that part of the show." From here, he had a better vantage point of the city from a higher point and a different angle and perspective. He was sure to keep up, and didn't lose sight of a dark corridor for even a moment.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 29, 2016 4:05 pm

"Maybe so," a voice spoke from the darkness of the unknown, followed by a very sharp, precise pinpoint arrow piercing through one of the windows before Overlord Tensei's feet like a bullet, which would both destroy the glass and cause him to lose his footing and stop him in his tracks as he ran along the building's side, "But, from the way you're talkin', we actually don't know all THAT much about ya." Suddenly, even more of these precision-strike arrows would hurdle from seemingly every angle, with no real clear depiction of exactly where they were coming from. Yet, all of them were aimed for Overlord Tensei; both where he was coming from AND where he was moving to, in order to stop him dead in his tracks and gun him down, if the first hadn't served its purpose of creating an opening. If it did, the barrage would have definitely cut him down to size and pinned him in place.

At the same time as this was happening, Overlord Tensei would be able to see someone running at top speed down one of the streets of the Dark City and into a dark alley, where, immediately, he would disappear.

Finally, a dark corridor opened up in his clear line of sight at the top of one of the buildings, as if someone were coming out, or going in. Whichever it was, the dark corridor remained open, but a figure could not be made out.

Overlord Tensei's rather aloof and lucid expression, portrayed by the shimmering of his crystal blue iris like water would, at the very notation of a foreign threat spontaneously appearing, sharpen to a very fine, narrowed edge, with the shimmering watery fluctuations in his eye becoming once again extremely fine and solid, like that of a crystal, with a glint to match. The window broke under his foot, as anticipated, but what was not anticipated was for Overlord Tensei to, instead of fighting against the sudden disturbance in his step, to flow in time with it, and allow himself to fall.

Just as he were about to make impact with the side of the building, and the barrage of sharp shots to pierce through his flesh, his body would flicker out in an array of distortions that would end with all of the predetermined shots missing the target, specifically because they were predetermined and, in every place that was not predetermined, there was a wide open blind spot for Overlord Tensei to reappear from long after all the arrows had struck their designated pinpoint marks.

There, Overlord Tensei stood, parallel to the dark corridor that had opened up on the building opposite his new location, which was atop a roof of equal or relative height to the one he saw the dark corridor fluctuating about. In the direction he saw both the hooded one run into the darkness of the alley from an overhead bird's eye view, and also where the dark corridor was still emanating, Overlord Tensei would take his next steps, leaping over to the next building and continuing to run along the rooftops, now. His eye remained solid and shimmered no more, but with a glint that looked as if it could cut glass.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 29, 2016 5:41 pm

The dark corridor faded with no one entering nor exiting.

???: This guy's good...

Even so, there were many many more tricks up the dark sleeves of the dark hand that had come to escort the esteemed Overlord Tensei to the Castle That Never Was. The one that had walked into the darkness below had seen him make his single bound over to the next building, where another trap was laid for him. Many figures now, which seemed to have spawned not from dark corridors, but literally out of thin air, would spontaneously generate just like the Heartless once did upon the rooftop he landed on, each of them either following him or coming toward him in order to assault him.

???: But we have something better.

Overhead, spontaneously appearing in a similar fashion as the figures that were all assaulting or following Overlord Tensei at the time, would be more of these sharp arrows of what looked to be dark energy, yet suspended in place and taking aim at him this time rather than being shot at him immediately, like the first time. This would cover that pesky 'blind spot' that he seemed to notice initially, which was something that was already accounted for long before it was perceived. More or less, the first shot(s) were just to test this guy's level of perception.

???: Certainly so.

Of the numerous figures that were all facing off against Overlord Tensei upon the rooftop, there was but a single one that actually appeared out of a dark corridor, and was garbed in black and hooded, as an Organization member would be. He walked casually through the onslaught, with none of them even daring to so much as lightly graze the man that stepped forth before Overlord Tensei.

Overlord Tensei did not bat his eye as he landed on the next rooftop, but refrained from moving beyond that point, since this seemed to be a focal point, and not just a mere distraction. He could tell the difference because of an actual presence coming out to greet him, moving along the figures as though he were a master, of which Overlord Tensei would not doubt that this person was; at least, over the spawned minions, as all masters were to their fledglings. Once his eye was fixed, it seemed to be set on a single point, and was unmoving from such. His entire demeanor was no longer as aloof and lackadaisical as it once was, as if the childishness had spontaneously matured in the very head of the battle.

He waited patiently for the first strike from the figures and, instead of striking them or doing anything to defend against them, would dodge every blow with very precise and well thought out strides, shifts, ducks and darts to any which way that was available among their discordant wild and uncoordinated swinging at him. He even went so far as to circle around his opponent all the while doing this, not skipping a beat, and halting where he may should there be too much going on where he actually could not dodge, but had to retreat. Still, he circled the hooded man something like he were a piece of fine meat that Overlord Tensei's eye had the pleasure of dicing to pieces and devouring without his mouth even having to open up once. He did not blink, but remained in motion, ever circling; cautiously.

Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was Empty
PostSubject: Re: Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was   Kingdom Hearts; The World That Never Was EmptySat Oct 29, 2016 8:27 pm

The dark robed Organization member that was in plain view continued to approach Overlord Tensei very slowly, but with a caution that seemed equal or parallel to his own. It wasn't until Overlord Tensei took one step in the wrong direction, dodging one of the mere pawns and darting behind the dark figure that he would be met with a swift overhead blow from an overbearingly large sword like that of an axe, and with the weight of a mountain falling from the sky. One strike split the building in two, with a great deal of debris shooting up into the air and hovering in place, with the other half of the building that he stood atop falling and crumbling with him on it.

The man lugged his great sword up upon his shoulders after that, with the hovering dark energy arrows overhead immediately covering him with an onslaught of shots like that of a machine gun whose bullets had been frozen in time until the moment the sword hit the floor. Everything here was, more or less, just decoration; a simulation for a greater test, and nothing of value to anyone at all. No one missed a fallen tower that could be easily reconstructed, specifically for the purpose of entrapping and testing another who dared walk into the Dark City. Each of the arrows, some of which had not moved from their place, in spite of the others that were rapidly firing, would continue to keep a steady lock on Overlord Tensei and every one of his movements.

Many of the figures fell with him, still swiping at him mindlessly. A great deal of them also still surrounded the Organization member wielding the large sword, covering him just the same as the still-stagnant arrows that were seemingly frozen in time overhead. The man watched Overlord Tensei as he fell, but should he move, would not be so quick nor hasty to retaliate, himself, or even follow with his eyes. He stood where he was, watching the half of the building crumble and collapse as it would, returning to the same rubble from whence it was built.
