| Fungus
Species of fungus, such as mushrooms and such. Though they resemble plants, they are more closely related to animals than they are plants, sharing qualities of both worlds.
They are known to communicate and reproduce through spores, as well as to defend themselves from other creatures. Their spores tend to be toxic, hallucinagenic, etc. They can use these spores to take over the very minds and wills of other creatures, and also parasitize them for their own reproduction, feasting upon their material makeup. They are predators of all things, especially nearby plants and dying animals. Many insects become the prey of these creatures, too.
Abundant worldwide, most fungi are inconspicuous because of the small size of their structures, and their cryptic lifestyles in soil, on dead matter, and as symbionts of plants, animals, or other fungi. They may become noticeable when fruiting, either as mushrooms or molds. Mycolei perform an essential role in the decomposition of organic matter and have fundamental roles in nutrient cycling and exchange. Though most are stationary, there are some that are able to move, making them the most dangerous of all.
Even so, they are valuable as alchemic resources because of their spores and chemical design, thus making them potent ingredients for potions and poisons.
These creatures work on a microscopic level, and are able to consume others on such a level as well. This is another dangerous trait that makes them hard to fight, as they consume from the very fibers of cells and matter.
Spore: Shakes off terrible spores that will inflict ailments on the foe as well as induce possession of them.
Weakness: Fire, Wind
Immunities: Vanish
Blue Magic Learned: Mighty Guard.
Item Dropped: Echo Screen, Ether.
A petite mushroom monster that lives in damp places. They're also called "walking mushrooms". While the original race of "matango" doesn't move very much from their spot, the distinguishing trait of "myconids" is that they are extremely active and will wander in pursuit of a man to be their prey.
They have a calm disposition, and a vacant expression on their face to the point that it's difficult to figure out what they're thinking, yet contrary to that, they normally scamper about busily. It's said that it is so much so that their feet never stop except when they are sleeping.
As soon as they spot a man, they rush straight towards him, and leap at him in an attempt to embrace him. They are by no means strong monsters, but they have a soft, elastic body that can squishily deflect even a sharp sword attack. Since they head straight at men, it's also easy to trip them or push them aside, but their movement can only be stopped for the moment they bounce off the ground, and no matter how many times they're tripped or sent flying, they'll keep trying to launch themselves at men without getting discouraged.
They have evolved differently than matango, and so have lost the ability to scatter spores in a wide area to attract men, but their spores still fully retain the powerful bewitching effect. When a man breathes these in, he'll feel pleasantly giddy, while on the other hand, his penis will swell so much that it's painful, and he'll come to voluntarily thrust it inside them. They have adapted so that the spores are released in the surroundings whenever they receive an impact. Of course, these are scattered about when they crash into men with their hugs, and if one foolishly attacks them, then he will end up being enveloped in the large amount of spores that will fly out due to the impact.
Since they've become active, they require that much more semen. Sex is as you would expect given their ecology of constantly moving around non-stop. They rock their petite body back and forth vigorously and furiously milk essence with non-stop hip movements.
Before obtaining a man, they spend their time walking about forests and caves here and there, but after getting their hands on the man who will be their husband, they start to follow their husband around constantly. On the other hand, contrary to how they normally walk about all the time, they prefer to remain motionless once they have the man who became their husband in their embrace, which may be due to the nature of the matango family to live while rooted in something. If their husband welcomes them into his arms, they'll leap at him gleefully, squeezing their arms and legs around his body in a firm embrace.
Also, it seems they calm down when in a state joined with their husband. It's even said that they feel so at ease that they fall asleep while joined. For that reason, even after sex is finished, it is often the case that they will keep clinging to their husband while continuing to hold his penis inside, refusing to let go. Their vagina seizes the penis like a slime mold, and the scattered spores cause the penis to swell inside so that once inserted, it cannot easily be removed. What's more, it's said that men may even forget to pull out since their thoughts are dominated by the dizzying ecstasy and pleasure. I heard that there are even those who live in a state joined to their husband in this manner, almost exactly like a mushroom rooted to a tree.

Matango Info
A type of fungal race that resemble people, living in damper forest regions and swamps. They absorb nutrients from the earth and large tree roots and are completely immobile. They can also hide their human-like shape by slightly altering their appearance to look like normal giant mushrooms. The roots that bind them down keep them from moving, but make for regeneration of their bodies incredibly swift, almost instantaneous, making them difficult to kill. They reproduce rather swiftly as well through their spores. The more nutrients they drain from a tree or from the earth, the less are spread around, and thus, it makes them more conservative to prevent other plant-like races from dying. As such, they spend their time sleeping until they are threatened.
Periodically, they will release cloud spores (unless threatened, where they will frequently release these spores). When a living being inhales these spores, they germinate inside of their bodies, growing mushrooms that take over his mind, controlled to the will of the Matango parent. If the parent Matango isn't killed or the spores aren't taken care of, eventually they will completely assimilate with their bodies and sprout on the outside, which will then prove little to no hope for them. This will make them a mushroom creature or Fungus type as well, and they will look nothing more like the creature they once were; merely a giant stalk. If one looks closely, they will see fallen creatures atrophied from the contamination, resembling common woodland objects like logs and stumps.
Because of their lack of movement, their reliance on other creatures that pass them by to spread their spores more swiftly is extreme. Rather than just populating a small region of a forest, if they get something mobile to send their spores to, their effect can reach miles and miles in a short span of time.
Spores: Due to her fungal nature, Mashu can release hallucinogenic spores from her hymenophore underneath her "head cap" and the "shirt ruffles" on her body. These spores are powerful enough to cause mass hallucinations & even personality changes. The spores are believed to be able to awaken a Liminal's dormant instincts, such as a Zombie's desire to spread her infection. Likewise, if Mashu gets nervous, scared, or flustered, she unconsciously starts releasing a far greater amount of spores. Due to this reason, her entire species was classified as "dangerous" and prohibited from ever entering Japan. Dreadlocks: A Matango' s dreadlocks are actually organs that assist in spore production. Hypha: A Matango's legs can be extended into the ground to absorb water and nutrients when in dark and humid locations. Weakness: While not directly detrimental to Mashu herself, she has no control over the spores she releases. She also cannot control their effects, nor can she remove them from the air after they've been released. She compares this to recollecting all the air a human has breathed out but it can be flushed out with water.
While very similar to Dryads in that they are fully capable of photosynthesis and their "legs" act as roots that they can embed into the ground to absorb soil nutrients, Matangos are feared due to the belief that the species has a parasitic reproductive cycle; whereby they produce spores that infect other beings with mushroom growths that will eventually convert them into a Matango, but this is only a rumor, as Kino´s secrets confirms that Matango do not reproduce through their spores. however, Matango do emit spores that may upset those that have asthma or related allergies. Sometimes these spores also possess hallucinogenic properties.

| Mushrooman Often poisonous fungi that have mouths. They can use these mouths to grind up what comes near them and tear flesh. They release powerful and deadly spores from themselves at times and are known to attack those who don't see them... Though they are fairly large. However, these things have Auto-Regen on them always and do not use up energy/chakra/magic/etc. to attack with spells. Attacks Fire: A level 1 spell. Small burst of fire. Fira: A level 2 spell. A moderately large explosion of fire that wraps around the enemy. Firaga: A level 3 spell. Massive accumulation of flames that causes an explosion of epic proportions to incinerate everything. Water: A level 1 spell. Water drenches the foe and tries to crush them and stuff. Flare: A powerful explosion of pure condensed heat for massive non-elemental damage in a wide vicinity. Pollen: Spews pollen from self that not only causes the foe to become Slowed, but also Blinded. Nausea Powder: Spews out a powerful powder that will cause Sleep and Poison. Ebon Powder: A black powder spewed from it that causes Blind. White Highwind: More powerful version of White Wind, causing not only more health and power to be restored to those in it, but can heal a large number in a large area. Pernicious Powder: Powerful powder that will cause a lot of random status ailments to the foe. Weakness: Fire Immunities: Blind, Zombie, Silence, Poison, Petrification, Sleep, Confuse, Berserk, Curse, Stop, Doom, Delay, Gravity, Death, Slow, Stop Blue Magic Learned: White Wind Item Dropped: Ether, Eye Drops, Remedy Additional Info: Absorbs Electric, Water and Ice elements. | |

| Inkcap
Produces camouflage ink from its body that can alternate colors and blend in with surroundings. Their spores can also generate an effect like octopus or squid ink, but also retain the property of camouflage. They are sometimes used by very knowledgeable thieves as the most potent of poisons and oil slicks, since they can become clear or completely invisible, as well as any other color, meaning it can be disguised naturally.

| Helishroom
Also known as the 'Shroomcopter'. A mushroom that flies upside down, using its roots in a rotary fashion just like a helicopter in order to fly, and also drops its spores like bombs. Can drop its cap like a nuke, however will take a bit of time for it to regrow the cap.
