Things I have picked up from hearing Japanese, watching anime and deciphering on my own how the structure of the language functions to whatever degree I can without any proper study or training. Ko- (Prefix) = Seems to denote something being nearby, as in 'Koko' or 'Kore.'

-Nai (Suffix/Ending Sentence) = Seems to denote not having something, or simply a negative, similar to the suffix '-sen.'

-Shita (Suffix) = Seems to denote some sort of heightened politeness or 'already understood' sort of manner of speaking, as opposed to just finding out something (I think.) Past tense, or something.
Wakarimashita = Understood
Arigatou Gozaimashita = Thank you very much (formal? Maybe...)
Shimashita = Did
-Sen (Suffix) = Seems to denote some sort of lack of something, or a negative to be used to show that one 'Does Not Do' a verb.
Wakarimasen = I do not understand.
Shirimasen = I do not know
-Shii (Suffix) = Seems to denote feeling, emotions or something intangible, as in an idea or something.
Ureshii = Happy

Dou- (Prefix) = Seems to denote asking a question, something similar along the lines of referring to a person or object. 'How?'
