One of the Motimon from the settlement happened to be following behind Kairo Tymon, holding a Meat in its hand. "Oh! Oh! Wait up! I have something for you!" The Motimon bounced about, coming toward Kairo Tymon's hiding location. "Please take this Meat so that you will not be hungry," it shouted.

Motimon attracted the attention of the Tamer, who did not breach Kairo Tymon's hiding place before he went to the Motimon. "What are you talking about?" the Tamer asked. "Huh, well, whatever. Come on, Gotsumon! We can defeat this Motimon and get that Meat for the road! Quick! Get into battle formation!"

Gotsumon said, "Okay! Here I go!"

Tamer: "Rock Fist!"

Gotsumon arched its back, then threw its head forward, firing the rocky ears on top as moderately sized boulders, straight at Motimon.

"... This Is Not Good..." Kairo Tymon muttered when the Motimon arrived. The element of surprise was still on his side, but time was not. He needed to act fast if he wanted to save that Motimon. "Acid Bubbles!" he cried out to Meiun, throwing the Tanemon toward the flying rocks.

Meiun released slightly acidic bubbles in rapid succession from its mouth, pounding at the rocks and dissolving them simultaneously, throwing off their trajectory before they reached the Motimon.

When Meiun landed before the Motimon, Kairo Tymon quickly instructed it to take its next attack, while the Tamer and the Gotsumon were likely still surprised from the appearance. "Adhesive Bubbles!" he commanded, still remaining hidden under his cover behind the tree.

The Tanemon faced the Gotsumon and release more bubbles from its mouth, these bubbles being extremely sticky so that they could restrict the movement of whatever they popped on.

"Oh no!" the Motimon shrieked, very stunned by the battle it had gotten into. But the save from Kairo Tymon and his Tanemon Meiun brought instant relief to the Motimon. "Phew! What a close one! Thank you very much!" Being more intelligent than most Digimon in its stage, Motimon came to the conclusion that Meiun the Tanemon would not be able to handle a Rookie level Gotsumon alone. Without hesitation, the Motimon joined in the fight and expanded its body with a deep breath. "Elastic Bubbles!" it cried, spewing a great deal of very sticky and stretchy bubbles from its mouth to join in the onslaught from Meiun's Adhesive Bubbles.

Caught off guard, the Tamer panicked. "Where did that Tanemon come from?! Augh!" He tried to give Gotsumon a command with his Digivice, but the bubbles overwhelmed his Digimon before he could do so. "Oh, what?! Come on, Gotsumon! Rock Fist! Rock Fist!" The Tamer continued pressing the command input button, but it seemed like the Gotsumon was completely immobilized.

"Cheap! Really cheap! Ugh, how can you lose to two In-Training Digimon, huh?!" The Tamer rushed over to the Gotsumon, trying to figure out how to get it out of the bubbles without getting stuck, himself.

"Give It Up, Tamer," Kairo Tymon finally said clearly to the other Tamer dealing with the Gotsumon, "That Digimon Belongs To Me. Your Partner Is Out Of Commission And My Friend Motimon Here Is On My Side. So I'd Suggest That You Calm Down And Stand Down." Kairo Tymon crossed his arms and shot a glare from the corner of his eyes at the other Tamer before averting his attention to the two In-Training Digimon that were successful in battle.

"Good Job, You Two," he said to the Digimon, petting Meiun fondly. "And Thank You, Motimon, For The Extra Food And The Help In Battle. We Couldn't Have Done It Without You." Again, Kairo Tymon bowed to the Motimon and accepted the Meat from it, which was stored within the Digivice. After that, he rose up to face the distressed Tamer and shot him a disapproving scowl. "This Motimon Meant You No Harm. Why Would You Try To Attack It For Experience? Don't You Know That You Will Receive Less Experience For Fighting With Weaker Digimon Than You Would Fighting Stronger Opponents? I Would Think That Much Was Obvious." It wasn't like it was illegal to attack weaker Digimon, but it was pretty morally incorrect to fight an innocent being that was only trying to help. Therefore, that type of being needed protection... Or at least, assistance.

"What Do You Have Say To Explain Yourself?" Kairo Tymon asked the Tamer.

The very kindly Motimon remained silent as Kairo Tymon spoke up for it, looking to the Tanemon curiously, then back at the opposing Tamer.

Kairo Tymon's voice irked this Tamer, who felt like he was being more high-and-mighty than he should have been. "Huh, what does it matter to you, newbie? You still have an In-Training Digimon, so how can you criticize my methods of training, huh? Talk to me when you have at least a Rookie. Tch." He didn't seem interested in socializing at all, but only on getting his Gotsumon out of the sticky situation it was in. "Ugh! Stupid... Ugh!" He was getting more frustrated by the second just trying to get the sticky substance off, but when the bubbles popped, they just spread the stickiness over the Gotsumon even more.

"Uuugh!" the Tamer groaned, finally giving up for the time being. "Great. Looks like I'm stuck here until I can find something to wash this off. Thanks a lot." He growled a bit, but then asked Kairo Tymon, "What's your name, anyway...?"

Kairo Tymon scowled at the Tamer, not really wanting to disclose his information to someone like him. "... Kairo Tymon," he said begrudgingly, only to counter his question with, "And What Is Your Name?"

Meiun looked to the Motimon, seeming somewhat confused.

Motimon suddenly spoke up and said to the other Tamer, "You know, some good old fashion water will wash that stickiness away!" It was trying to be helpful, but it could tell that there was tension in the air, and said nothing more than that.

Also reluctant to state his name, the Tamer said to Kairo Tymon, "My name is Flow. That's all you need to know." Flow placed his hands in his pant pockets, then turned to walk away toward a location where he could find water. "I won't forget this, Kairo Tymon..." Those were Flow's final words as he walked away.

Glaring at him the entire time as he departed, Kairo Tymon did not move until Flow was completely out of sight. He turned to his Tanemon and lowered himself to the ground, the Tanemon rushing over into his arms so he could scoop it up and walk with it. "... Thanks Again, Motimon," said Kairo Tymon. "Give The Settlement Our Regards." Kairo Tymon walked off in an arbitrary direction, still within the Graphic Forest.

Over time, Meiun became hungry. There was no real way to tell where they were in the forest, or if they were close to coming out. But Meiun started to chirp a bit in a babyish way when it got hungry for food. "Heyyy! Feed me, please! I am hungry!"

Kairo Tymon was distracted a bit, though. He couldn't stop thinking about Flow. There was probably a load of Tamers out here that didn't understand the underlying principles of Digimon and what they were or how they were to be treated, but the fact that Kairo Tymon came into contact with one so soon was disturbing to him. It frustrated him so much that he didn't initially recognize Meiun's cries.

"Hm?" he finally mumbled, snapping back into focus, "O-Oh, My Apologies, Meiun. Yes, Let's Stop To Eat." He placed the Tanemon before him and pulled out his Digivice, which he pointed at the ground. When he pressed a button, the Meat that was given to him by Motimon digitized before Meiun.

The Tanemon shouted with joy when the Meat appeared, then started to gnaw on the Meat. "Oh, thank you so much, Kairo Tymon! I love you!"

Stunned by the words of affection, Kairo Tymon was unsure of how to respond for a brief moment. But his shocked expression faded into a tender look, wherein which he would say to the Tanemon, "... I Love You, Too..." He crouched down to the Tanemon's level and smiled warmly, stroking the leaves on its head gently.

Little did the duo know, they weren't alone. They'd wandered into a predatory part of the forest, which was unsafe for any Digimon below the Rookie level. They wouldn't have noticed the change in the environment too much, but there weren't many Digimon around... And that was for a reason.

But, the Digimon that was stalking them couldn't help but to attack them when it saw the food. "Cheese Bomb!" the Digimon shouted, hurling an explosive bomb of cheese right at Kairo Tymon and Meiun. It soon came out of the bushes, whether its attack made contact or not, and started going on about its feelings. "That's the problem with you Tamer Digimon," the Digimon, which was a Chuumon, stated angrily, "Your Tamers just give you food! You don't have to scavenge for food on your own, like us wild Digimon do!" Clearly, the goofy little ugly pink bipedal rodent was envious of the fact that it could not be provided for by a Tamer. "Eeeeh, I'll show you that a wild Digimon is tougher than some Tamer bred Digimon! Then I will use your data to Digivolve! Heh heh!"

With Meiun occupied with eating and unable to evade the surprise attack, Kairo Tymon had to step in. At a high speed, he darted in between the Cheese Bomb and Meiun, the explosive dairy bursting on his back. The impact wasn't enough to knock him down, though. It was clear that this Digimon was not very strong. It wasn't even bigger than Tanemon.

Kairo Tymon turned around with a vicious anger, his ringed eyes gleaming brightly. "So, You Think That By Attacking A Feeding Digimon Unsuspectingly, It Makes You Stronger? It Might Make You Cunning, But It Does Not Make You Strong, Rodent." The next move was to scan the Chuumon with the Digivice, which brought up some crucial information for Kairo Tymon. "You're Just Envious Of The Treatment That My Digimon Gets. If You Hadn't Attacked, I Would Have Helped You Find Some Food, But You Are A Selfish Digimon, So I Will Instead Teach You A Lesson About Manners." When Kairo Tymon turned back around, he'd bought Meiun just enough time to finish eating. "You Ready Meiun?" Kairo Tymon asked.

"Yes, Kairo Tymon!" shouted the Tanemon, which scuttled between his legs and out in front of him.

Kairo Tymon: "Bubble Blow!"

Meiun planted its feet into the ground and unleashed a flurry of pink bubbles from its mouth at a high speed with great force, which would pop on the target and sting quite a bit. The rapid fire would be enough to overwhelm even a Rookie over time, which is what Meiun intended to do to the Chuumon, which was a weak Rookie.

Chuumon was shocked that the Tamer took the hit for his Digimon, which further fueled its envy for the loved Digimon. "Ehhh, what do you know?! You'll never understand what it's like to be a wild Digimon! Cheese Bomb!" It hurled another cheesy explosive at Meiun, the mass of the object being greater than the strength of the bubbles. However, the turbulent force of the popping bubbles eventually caused the Cheese Bomb to detonate midair before reaching the Tanemon, leaving it unscathed, to the Chuumon's dismay.

"Grrr... Lousy Tamer Digimon... THIS is what I think of YOU and your lousy... TAMER!" The Chuumon grunted briefly, seeming to defecate directly into its own hand. "Friendly Poop Throw!" it cried, hurling the freshly made poop straight at Meiun. It didn't stop with one, either. It continuously pooped into its hands and flung the byproduct at the Digimon relentlessly. It was remarkable how much poop it could make for being such a starving and hungry Digimon.

"... Sick," Kairo Tymon stated in disgust, taking no time to let his precious Digimon get all nasty by some foul technique. He scooped up Meiun and dodged the assault of poop, making his way behind another tree. "What An Unpleasant Digimon. If You Were More Humble And Friendly, You Probably Wouldn't Be Starving." With the cover of the tree, Kairo Tymon would be able to catch the angry Chuumon off guard so that the cowardly thing wouldn't run away before it was defeated. "Meiun," Kairo Tymon said to the Tanemon quietly, "I'm Going To Put You In This Tree And I Want You To Jump Out And Attack Chuumon When I Give The Command. Okay?"

Meiun: "Yes, Kairo Tymon!"

Kairo Tymon: "Good. Let's Go."

Like he said, Kairo Tymon placed the small plantoid Digimon on a high branch out of Chuumon's vision. Meiun would focus on the target and prepare to jump, waiting on Kairo Tymon's command.

Kairo Tymon stepped out from behind the tree and shouted, "Go, Meiun! Adhesive Bubbles!" and the Tanemon sprang from the high branch and over Chuumon's head. When it was falling, it spewed tons of sticky bubbles from its mouth that would bind the Digimon in place so that it could not move whilst Meiun regained its bearings on the ground.

Chuumon had only noticed Kairo Tymon come out into the open, and was flinging poop at him. It was so preoccupied by this that it didn't even notice that the Tanemon was coming from above, and the sticky bubbles apprehended the rodent. "Hey! That's dirty! You smelly-- Let me go!" Chuumon was completely immobile and vulnerable where it stood, incapable of flinging anymore Cheese Bombs or poop. "What did I ever do to deserve this?! You're not even that great! You're just an In-Training Digimon! You're not even a Rookie, like me! That's why you are weak!" The Chuumon continued to slander the Digimon and Tamer, struggling to get free all the while.

"Please Be Quiet," Kairo Tymon damn near demanded, highly annoyed by the creature's incessant blabbering. "Your Words Are As Filthy As Your Mind. You Call My Digimon Weak For Being Cared For, But It's Because Of That Care That My Digimon Is Stronger Than A Wild In-Training Digimon. Surviving Digimon May Be Able To Become Strong By Defeating Others, But They Will Not Understand The Strength Of Someone Who Protects Others. That Is The Advantage That Digimon With A Good Tamer Have." After thoroughly lecturing the Chuumon, Kairo Tymon figured that it was time to finish it off. "Bubble Blow, Meiun!"

The Digimon obeyed and released the moderately powerful stream of bubbles again, directly at the Chuumon until it was completely incapable of fighting.

"AAAAUUUUGH!!!" the Chuumon screamed as the bubbles pelted it, eventually knocking it out of the stickiness and onto the ground. "Nnn... You... dirty..." The Chuumon could no longer fight, and it passed out.

The battle was won.

But, just as the battle with Chuumon concluded, a larger creature darted out of some other bushes and leapt upon the unconscious Chuumon, gnawing at it and clawing at it until its data was broken apart and consumed. The greater predator looked like a mix between a dog and a feral rabbit, being gray in appearance and having very large claws, long ears, and a frayed tail with three small buckles around the tip. The beast turned around after consuming Chuumon, a vicious look in its eye. It was a Gazimon, a natural predator in the Graphic Forest. It didn't waste any time in attacking its next target, the young Tanemon under the supervision of Kairo Tymon. "Gazimon Claw!" it cried, moving at a high speed toward the Tanemon in order to slice it to bits with its sharp foreclaws.

The sight of another Digimon eating another Digimon horrified the rather ignorant Tanemon, which was only born a short time ago. It had natural instincts, but it wasn't aware that some Digimon hunted each other. A striking fear overcame it, and it was paralyzed to the point where it could not evade the attack coming at it.

But, Kairo Tymon was also afraid. He saw what the Gazimon did to the Chuumon without a second thought and he remembered what the Digimon Online guide said about Digimon getting deleted. This Digimon was definitely a Rookie and could handle something like an In-Training with relative ease. It was clearly a superior predator and not a weaker Digimon like the Chuumon that was hunted was, so he wasn't sure that the Tanemon would be able to survive.

That uncertainty... That concern... It grew as a feeling inside of him. A feeling that was absorbed into the Digivice... And transferred to the Digimon. The experience from the battle with Chuumon combined with the strong feelings between both Meiun and Kairo Tymon sparked the light of evolution in the Tanemon, which caused it to glow...

Meiun: "Tanemon Digivolve to..."

The wondrous light that was exuded by the Tanemon was strong enough to divert the Gazimon, lightly knocking it off course as the Digivolution happened. The Tanemon's limbs grew whilst it was engulfed in light, its arms and legs extending into large leaves with claws and roots respectively. The bulb sprouted into several petals at the top of the head to make a blooming tropic flower, and a slightly reptilian tail extended from the rear. The now bipedal reptilian plant stood up, and the light faded from around it, revealing its sharp, reptilian teeth.

Meiun: "... Palmon!"

Kairo Tymon smiled happily when he saw his Digimon Digivolve, recognizing that it happened because of the strong feelings in their hearts shared at the same time. His overwhelming concern out of love ended up being enough power to get the In-Training Digimon into its Rookie form -- Palmon. "Alright, Meiun!" Kairo Tymon cheered. "Now, Go! Poison Ivy!"

The Palmon responded swiftly, unleashing its claws and extending them outward as whip-like vines. They lashed about wildly, aiming to strike and ensnare the Gazimon, causing it paralysis with the toxins that flowed through its claws when using Poison Ivy.

Gazimon was startled by the sudden Digivolution, no longer wishing to prey upon something that was just as big as it was. It didn't want to lose the fight however, at the risk of being deleted. Out of flight instincts, it dug a hole into the ground at a high speed to avoid the lashing vines, which protected it from the attacks above ground. It continued digging into the ground even after it was safe, no longer near the hole's entrace.

The rather keen Kairo Tymon watched the Gazimon's movements and predicted its next line of attack. "Meiun. Thorn Thrust. Into The Ground."

"Yeah, sure, boss..." the Palmon said in a rather lethargic tone. Something about its personality seemed to change during its Digivolution, and it was much more mellow. When the time was right, it stabbed its claws into the ground and extended them outward at a high speed, impaling whatever was directly below it.

Kairo Tymon's guess was that the Gazimon wasn't just digging a hole to escape, but also to trap its opponent, like it said in its bio it liked to do. Instead of taking the risk of the Palmon getting a Pitfall, he was instead being cautious and hopefully preemptive by anticipating the Gazimon's natural movements. He just hoped he was right.

Not anticipating a follow-up attack, the Gazimon that had just burrowed underground was caught completely off-guard by the attack by the Palmon as it tried to emerge from the ground directly underneath it. The grave oversight got it impaled by the attack, and before it knew it, its data was dispersed as a symbol of its defeat. The data poured through the holes in the earth directly underneath the Palmon, signifying the defeat of the wild Gazimon. All in all, the surprise attack from below backfired, and now that Gazimon was no more.

The sign of the rising data was enough for Kairo Tymon to know that this battle was decided. It would be absorbed into Meiun, and he closed his eyes as he blessed the passing of the unfortunate Gazimon. "... It Is Done," he spoke coldly to the Palmon, beginning to walk again through the Graphic Forest, "... Come, Meiun. We Must Press On." With Meiun as a Rookie level now, it would be easier to deal with the other Rookie levels, and possibly even some weak Champions. They would be better able to defend themselves, which was a plus, to say the least.

Meiun the Palmon, whose somber nonchalance seeped from every part of its being now after its Digivolution, seemed completely indifferent to the fact that it'd just deleted another Digimon and absorbed its data. Meiun couldn't say that it enjoyed it, but it definitely didn't hate it, either, and didn't wonder if that was something to worry about. Something about its Digivolution caused its personality to become more grim, yet this could also have been the influence of its Tamer, as he was pretty dark, himself. Meiun didn't seem to mind; the love it had in its heart as a Tanemon was still present, though the outward expression of it was less apparent, which was irregular for typical Palmon. "I gotcha," it said, walking behind Kairo Tymon, dragging its leafy arms along the ground as it did.

It was calm in the Graphic Forest for a while, and the two were left relatively undisturbed. There may have been some other wild Digimon off in the distance, but they didn't seem predatory, and they also seemed to either not notice or completely ignore Kairo Tymon and Meiun, much to their relief... Not that either of them showed it. It took a bit of time as the two taciturn beings went on, but conversation started up once they were more alone, as the two seemed to enjoy.

Kairo Tymon: "... You Are So Quiet Now, Meiun. I Have Noticed A Change In Your Behavior Ever Since Digivolution."

Meiun: "... Oh yeah? And what about it? You don't love me anymore now that I'm stronger and less cute?"

Kairo Tymon: "... Don't Say That. Palmon Are One Of My Favorite Digimon. This Is Why I Chose You. My Love For You Will Not Fade. I Always Believed That My Crest Was 'Sincerity'..."

Meiun, confused: "... Uhhh, thanks, but... What are you talking about?"

Kairo Tymon, sighing: "... Right. You Are Not As Aware Of Your Own World As I Am, Nor Of Its Development. I Suppose That I Can Inform You Of Certain Things, But... I Do Not Believe You Will Understand Everything That I Know As Of Yet, And There Are Plenty Of Things I Do Not Know, As The Digital World Has Changed And Continues To Change Even As We Speak."

Meiun blinked. "... Yeah... Well. Whatever you want to say, go ahead and say it. I'm all ears."

Kairo Tymon knew that was Meiun's new way of expressing acceptance, for he understood that type of personality very well, since he was similar sometimes. "... Of Course, Meiun." He extended his hand to grab its leafy arm, proceeding to walk with her as they held hands. "... Now, Listen Closely..." Kairo Tymon further explained what he knew about the Digital World based on the events that happened in the Real World, and also that because of the ever-changing and ever-expanding developments of the Digital World, what was once known could have easily changed, and certain things were not permanent. Much time passed as he explained, the conversation between them enlightening the Palmon to itself and its homeworld, as well as the Real World that lived in harmony with the Digital World.

This conversation went on for a long time, and soon enough, the two found themselves out of the Graphic Forest by sunset. There was an unknown city nearby; one which Kairo Tymon had never seen in the Digital World before. "... This Must Be The Human Settlement That The Digimon Dimensions Online Guide Told Me About..." he deduced. "... Let's Go In And Find A Place To Rest, And Then We Can Also Eat. I Am Sure That You Are Certainly Hungry By Now, And We Can Also Stock Up On Food With The Little Bit Of Bits That We Got From Those Battles." It wasn't much, according to his Digivice, but it would be enough for a meal and some food for the road.

So the two entered the unknown city, looking to find someone to give them information and directions to a rest area.

The city held many different Digimon Dimension Online players, who roamed the streets with their respective Digimon. They and their Digimon were all different, though some people and Digimon were similar, of course. There were only so many, despite there being so many. Some people shared styles, and some people shared Digimon.

No matter what, the city was bustling with activity, and it looked pretty modern, sporting other eccentric details that were generally customarily associated with digital or virtual entities. To that extent, it looked much like a typical digital city would.

There was a sign that was clear above what seemed to serve as both an entrance and a protection for the city, and the sign read 'Mainframe City'. From the name and the size, it was clear that this was some sort of central city, or at the very least, a city of some sort of importance. There were plentiful shops and services, and there were also resources abound. People entered and exited the buildings, hung out in the common areas, and spent time socializing with each other and their Digimon. People entered and people exited, and life went on in the Mainframe City.

Everyone seemed to be minding their own business, so no one talked to Kairo Tymon or Meiun the Palmon. Anyone who knew each other ended up generally keeping to the people they knew, and some even formed parties before they went back out into the wilderness of the Digital World. If Kairo Tymon wished to collect himself and make some friends or join a party, then it was here that he would have a chance to do so, and it seemed to be this way by design, since this was the first stop outside of the Graphic Forest. One could only wonder where one would end up if they went in any other direction within the Graphic Forest, but that didn't seem to bear any real concern right now seeing as the designated exit led to the designated entry to the digital city. Thus, there really was no point in trying to figure out where else the other parts of the Graphic Forest led to. But, some people with Rookies or even Champions ended up exiting through the entrance and back into the Graphic Forest, possibly to train and gain experience.

Either way, Players played the game without any regard to the new Player, Kairo Tymon, and all pursued their respective businesses within the game world.

Unlike the other Players, who were already greeted their first time entering the Mainframe City, Kairo Tymon was spoken to by a Digimon that stood behind the entryway. It was a rather rudimentary looking Digimon, seeming to have been constructed out of a small child's imagination, as what they'd envision a cool looking robot would be, to their greatest capacity. It was a whitish-silver color and was rectacular in shape, having prongs for arms, antennae, and a robotic face. This was Tinmon, who, though looking very simple, was a strong Digimon. "WELCOME TO MAINFRAME CITY. VISIT THE LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS FOR MORE INFORMATION." As it were, it didn't seem like this Tinmon was very sociable, and it seemed much like it was not invested in what it did at all, but simply droned about doing so like a machine. After it finished, it returned to immobile silence, as though deactivating once fulfilling its purpose.
