Class Is Back In Session; The Dragon's Den

Even before Tear was ready to respond to Tifa, he noticed all of the activity amongst Pandemia, from the Pandemia Students to the Delta Creatures that some of them had. It was clear to him that they were all preparing for the Fiesta Del Caza, so it was only natural that they'd want to have a session in the 'Dragon's Den'. The smell of the incense was already in the air whenever someone opened the door. "... Why, That's Precisely What I'm Here For, Tifa," Tear finally responded to her, having taken careful note of everything and everyone else, including little miss Tsukimiko. "... I Presume That You're Already Prepared, Since You Said You Were On Your Way... And Once We're Inside And Ready, We Can Discuss Something Important." The Dragon's Den was a place for many things, and bonding deeply was one of them. This fell into direct alignment with what Tear wished to do, so it was fortunate that Tifaret was already intending to go there.

"Come, Tifa. Let's Head Inside, Shall We? We Can Go Into A Separate Room From The Main Area For A Personal Chat." Tear extended a hand as if to escort Tifa inside, and he would bring her to one of the private rooms, where the two could partake of the incense and discuss the personal matters more intimately.

Tifa was a bit surprised to hear that Tear was actually coming here to smoke. He didn't seem the type, yet at the same time, it was probably a given that he would do something like that on the down-low. Tifa, on the other hand, would come out with a blunt in broad daylight, if it suit her. If there weren't restrictions on smoking outside of the Dragon's Den, she'd totally take one to the open halls. But having a designated area for this sort of event in the first place is already pretty badass, so it was fine if the other areas of the building were prohibited.

"Oho? Someone's Eager," Tifa quipped, playfully knocking his hand away as she took helm, "Good Thing I Am Too. Yeah, Let's Get A Place In The Back." She and Tear would then go into the Dragon's Den, where they would continue their conversation and interactions in private.

With Tifa now in the safety of the confines of the private room within the Dragon's Den, Tear could explain to her the plan he'd been pondering. "... Tifa," he addressed sternly, "... I Know It Well That I Should Not Even Think To Disobey The Orders Of The Head Mistress. But..." He turned to her, hands behind his back, diligence in his eyes. "... She Said Only That We Shouldn't Pilot Pandemia. Not That We Could Not Pilot The Other Mecha... Mechanica." Granted, it overlapped with the rule not to leave the premises of the school, but Mechanica could be operated remotely.

"It May Not Be The Same, Especially If We Are Not Directly In The Cockpit, But..." He clenched his fist before him chiefly, obviously determined. "... It Can Still Help Us Prepare. Before That, However, There Is Need For Us To Again Better Bond With... Each Other." The subject used to be touchy in the past, but now seemed like something the two of them secretly eagerly awaited. They were very cool about minimal expression, though. Likely due to the nature of their history, and the method of the blossoms of their attraction. "... So. If You're Ready, Dear." Tear finally sat, adjusting himself comfortably. "... We May Partake Of The Incense And Speak Of Our Thoughts On The Matter... And Whatever Else Might Be On Our Minds And Hearts."

Now, it wasn't every day that Tear piqued the interest of Tifa's badboy heart so quickly, but right now, he was suggesting basically going behind the Me-ou's back just to bond with her like they did before. It was sweet and hot, but most of all, it was slick, and she liked how he was trying to put on the loopholes so he could make it happen. She found herself daydreaming slightly for a bit, but didn't get lost. Though, she surely did miss a responsive cue. "Huh?" she said awkwardly. "Oh, Yeah! Sounds Like A Pretty Sexy Plan, Bucko! I'm All For It." She sparked up the blunt like he asked, puffing hard to get herself started. "... What Brought This On, Anyway, Eh?" Tifa had to ask, curiosity getting the better of her, for whatever reason.

When Rita appeared to Tifaret, she would speak to her the words of the Argus Card System, allowing for her to be imbued with the power of absorption. This gifted ability would be charged within her, allowing her the capacity of one free use of the ability before it wore off. Hopefully she used this 'Charge' well.

Ignoring all of the divine intervention going on, which Tear could obviously see, though he didn't let it be known, Tear would take the blunt from Tifa and inhale deeply, closing his eyes and he let his wavelength relax and flow freely. When he opened his eyes next, they were sharp and cold, like they were whenever he was about to kill someone. Normally, his look was rather casual and nonchalant; carefree, arguably, with undertones of hidden perception. Now? It was just blatantly severe. It was like one could get cut just from him glancing. But what brought this sudden intensity on? He looked far more serious than usual; as if thinking of something grave.

"... When We Were Both Piloting, I Could Feel You Getting Beside Yourself... But, More So Than You... I Could Feel Myself Getting Beside Myself, Which I Usually Do Not Do. So I..." He closed his eyes again, passing the blunt back to her. "... I Feel Like I Know Where That Comes From, And Believe It Best To Explore That So That We Better Identify And It Does Not Get In Our Way Again." Technical as always, his words still betrayed his feelings, no matter how he dressed it up. "... What Say You? Shall I Link Us To Mechanica?"

For whatever reason, Tifa's hit of the blunt made her feel incredibly pumped, and she felt a surge of energy flowing into her, as well as all types of stimulation. She picked up on the wavelengths of the atmosphere much better than before, which was a natural effect of the incense being smoked already as well as the rooms, but this feeling she had was different... She wasn't just receiving and resonating, she felt like she was actually absorbing it into herself, which was a different type of intimacy.

It was stunning for the moment, to feel Tear like this, in this way, which her soul had never experienced before. She had definitely seen him get this way before, and it was appealing in its own way, but normally, she didn't really feel what he was feeling, but more what he was emanating. This time, she didn't feel what he externally projected, but what he internally felt. It was... Actually rather threatening, and she could feel how dangerous it was firsthand now, instead of having the bluntness of her own confidence in her own strength dulling any sort of intimidation or threat or danger. With this, she could feel something different -- something she had never before experienced in her entire life. And this level of intimidation she felt... It aroused her. Yet it upset her, especially that someone like Tear would be able to inflict it upon her at all. She'd never once felt actually intimidated by Tear or anyone, but especially not Tear, no matter how skilled he was. It never frightened her until this moment.

Stirring with both passions of anger and arousal, Tifaret took the blunt back from him and quieted herself, taking another hit. "... Sure, Whatever," Tifaret finally said, "... But Before We Get Into That, I, Uh... Want To Go In Depth On What It Is You Think You're Feeling. And How You Were Getting Beside Yourself." Tifa suddenly stood, taking another puff as she did, and walking lackadaisically, yet with a hint of repressed sexual tension, toward Tear, who was not facing her, to give him back the blunt. "... I'm Thinking I Might Get Beside Myself Right Now, If You Keep Talking." It sounded like a threat and an invitation, but seemed to be laced with both sexual and angered tension, so it wasn't clear exactly how she meant that.

As serious as Tear was, he was far more receptive than normal, likely due to the stimulation of the incense doing what it did naturally. He felt not just his own wavelengths more intimately, but also Tifaret's, which seemed to be struggling with his own, yet also taking it in. It was a curious scenario causing her to act in a peculiar manner...

Composed as ever, Tear turned to her as she stepped up, and, surprisingly, stepped to her just the same way, somewhat uncharacteristically. Normally, Tear was not so direct and upfront, but more fluid and slick. Tifa was the one who was direct and forceful. Yet for some reason, Tear was standing there, staring her dead in the face, eyes sharp as blades, chest to hers. "... Is That So...?" Tear inquired, unblinking, "... We'll Just Agree That There Is Some Unrelieved Tension In That Area Of Our Lives, As Rivals." Ever since they started working together, they had always been rivals. Tear's skill versus Tifa's brawn. Normally Tear came out victorious, but Tifa was able to both keep up and sometimes even give Tear a significant struggle for the victory. That meant she was progressively learning and growing, and he liked that. But he couldn't let her surpass him -- not with that type of attitude.

"Here's What We'll Do: We'll Resolve Our Underlying Tension That We Both Know Was Clearly Out On The Battlefield In A Simulation Within Mechanica. That Way, We Can Pilot It, Bond, And Finish What We Started, Killing Three Birds With One Stone." Practical as ever, the proposition seemed almost like it was not an invitation, but an absolute. Likely just to rouse Tifaret, though. "Unless, You Feel As Though You Won't Perform Well..." Tear smirked ever so slightly, turning away as he did, trying to hide it. "Then, I Suppose, Dealing With Each Other Only Here In This Way Will Suffice, As Well." He was clearly trying to get in her head.

Like a candle, the flickering white hair of Tifa's side-ponytail sputtered some, yet her fists clenched, summoning her Gauntletta Arctina in a blistering frost. There was a great chill in the air that would almost seem like it would freeze the flame, but that also seemed to be burning too hot to experience any sort of effects from the cold, thus polarizing the two elements within Tifaret. "Why Not Do Both, Wise Guy?" Tifa suggested rather absolutely in retort, almost as if in spite of him, a smile or smirk nowhere upon her face. "... Unless You Think You Won't Perform Well?" She took a step forward, her hair turning a bright pinkish-red. "Were Those The Words That You Used?"

It should have been known to Tifaret that Tear would be able to feel such an intense shift in her wavelengths immediately, especially since the two of them were in resonance at the moment thanks to the incense. She was again in her feelings, but there was something different. Even with that, it was very... Attractive to him how she didn't hesitate nor back down, and he knew that she wasn't talking out of her ass at all. She was surely about to fight him and beat him down if given the chance, though it was all the more arousing that she thought she could.

"... My, You Sure Are Spicy, Aren't You...?" Tear said in a nonchalantly mocking tone, pivoting instantly and thrusting himself forward in one swift motion rather coolly in order to collide face-to-face and chest-to-chest with Tifaret before she could even get started, or think that she was going to. "... But Don't Let Me Make You Salty, Love." He smirked with a relative smugness that was usually much more veiled, if even present at all. He was clearly messing with her and wanted her to see it, else he wouldn't have even had such an expression at all. With a fluid shoulder check into a spin, he rotated around her, hands in his pockets, and walked about smoothly with his back turned. "... It Would Save You The Embarrassment To Just Follow My Plans As I've Already Dictated..." That should have really steamed her up, to think he was trying to order her around. It was assured that he knew how to push her buttons, even without seeming like he did. It made him seem arrogant, but it was actually certainly not that at all -- it was all very much something else, and Tifaret specifically would know what it was.

Despite nearly popping the very nerve Tear was getting on, Tifa remained cool and composed this time, which was rather uncharacteristic of herself. Whereas she was usually a ball of hot fire, or devoid of any emotion at all, she was this time somewhere in between hot and cold. Not lukewarm, but still both hot and cold in both extremities at the same time. She hadn't before used the greater strength of her gauntlets once they were upgraded to the Gauntletta Arctina. She especially hadn't ever used them in conjunction with her stellar powers. So as much as this calm fury was new to her, so was the experience... But she rolled with it, just like she rolled right off of Tear's shoulder check, fist literally impulsively cocked back immediately afterward, aiming at his jaw.

"Don't You Fucking Turn Your Back On Me, Tear," Tifa said lowly, but with burning intensity. With a simple step forward, she launched herself at a blazing speed, coated in a twinkling frost something like the sparkles of stellar bodies. Her fist would take less than a second to be directly at Tear's jawline, already in the motion of creasing him, without any such warning. "You Should Know I Ain't Following Shit But My Own Way. If It Happens To Link Up With What You Want, Fine. But Right Now? What I Really Want Is To Beat Your Punk Ass."

Naturally, all such words were spoken after the impact or lack thereof.

Tifa may have indeed had the reactionary and reflexive impulses to be able to retaliate instantly and easily, but she was nowhere near skilled enough with something like wavelengths to be able to actually get the jump on Tear, even with all her strength and speed. His motions were fluid, even all the way up to the point of his sudden instantaneous disappearance into a flash of light. His immediate reappearance was against a wall in the corner of the smoky room, arms crossed, eyes glistening like pools of water. "... Well, Whether Or Not What You Feel Is True, The Real Question You Should Be Worrying About Is..." He smirked, eyes cold and sharp. "... If You Can Even Make Good On Your Feelings, And Your Words." Smoothly kicking himself off of the wall, he continued to walk coolly back toward the hopefully -- though not likely -- simmered down Tifaret.

Whether she was or was less feisty, Tear would speak, and should he attempt to be interrupted, he would pull another 'Houdini' on her. "... You See, You Don't Have The Same Skill As I Do, Nor The Same Skillset. Where Your Skill Is Overwhelming Strength, Mine Is Intricate Analysis, Tactics, And Strategy." He chuckled now, eyes unwavering as they looked at Tifaret with a piercing, unsettling focus. "... But My Real Talent Lies In My Capacity For Commanding Wavelengths... Including Receiving And Comprehending Them." He narrowed his eyes only just slightly, and his body started to flicker violently as he approached her. "... I Can See Every Single Vibration That Comes From You. I Can See All Wavelengths Around You. I Can Feel Them, Too. Decipher Them. Alter Them. Manipulate My Own. Until You Have That Level Of Capacity..." The flickering Tear seemed to instantaneously and very suddenly appear before Tifaret, glaring her dead in her pupils, with no form of wavering or concern. "... You Will Never. Fucking Defeat Me. Tifa. Never."

A burning sensation like no other coursed all throughout Tifaret's being. She really was trying to keep herself composed, but Tear was making that impossible. Yet, somehow, she maintained, though the buildup of her power within her unable to be loosed caused her very eyes to ignite in spontaneous combustion with a pure white flame that glittered with cosmic energy. Tifaret's once white hair, which was now a very radiant red, intensified in its brightness, and she grit her teeth so hard in restraint that she could barely move her mouth. She was insanely hot but also dangerously angry at the same time, but all that meant was that she was going to enjoy beating the shit out of Tear. Words simply escaped her now as her mind became primal, but she could not move, for whatever reason. It was almost like she was frozen in place, but the energy within her continued building up.

Obviously, Tifa had already entered her Hypernova mode, but it and she were not unstable, as it was usually. Instead, coupled with the ever-chilling Gauntletta Arctina, Tifa was able to keep the Hypernova mode from causing her to overheat or become unstable via polarization. So no matter how hot or powerful she became, she would always be able to level the power with her icy abilities. She didn't initially realize this due to her blind rage, but it happened naturally, so she didn't really need to recognize it now. All she cared about was defeating Tear, as usual.

"... Gauntlet..." she eventually spake, voice echoing violently when she did finally speak, "... Hades." Her Gauntlets were commanded to use the technique she created called 'Hades', which had the power to negate what they came in contact with. Yet she wasn't using their power on Tear... She would use them on herself to prevent Tear from being able to read her wavelengths. That way, he wouldn't have the advantage he claimed was how he'd be able to stay on top of her, and hopefully the playing field would be leveled due to that. Plus, if it did work out, it would likely shut Tear's fucking mouth, spouting off like that like his victory was simply so certain. Just the thought of that brought Tifaret's fist to his face, and since he likely wouldn't be able to see this one coming through vibrations, and Tifaret was able to move at stellar speeds, it was more than likely that she would make contact this time. Should her burning fist connect, it would explode with the power of a condensed supernova.

Just as her punch was going to connect, Tear flickered out again, instantaneously flickering in elsewhere in the room, then suddenly elsewhere, gazing from the darkness, eyes shimmering like pools of water with the moon's reflection in them. They were still sharp and narrow; cold and unfeeling. Somehow, though... They were more murderous than they were before. "... Well. Aren't We Resourceful?" he quipped, though with an obvious hint of irritation. However, something about how quickly she picked up, likely out of spite for him, did indeed arouse him so. "... I Suppose I Don't Need To Hold Back Against You Anymore, Huh, Tifaret...?" He spoke of this as if to insinuate he used to, and quite on purpose. In but a few moments, he'd flickered away and disappeared, only to have appeared behind her in the shadows, silently creeping upon her.

Since Tear was negated of his ability to perceive Tifa's wavelengths, he wouldn't see it coming if she build up power for an attack if she didn't make it obvious. She was actually at quite an advantage, and she recognized this, because Tear's core specialty lies in his proficiency in wavelengths -- especially the perception.

Spontaneously, the brightly glowing Tifaret spontaneously combusted at a whim, filling the entirety of the room in a supernova inferno, yet confining and concentrating it all upon just this room and the area where Tear and Tifa were. She could still feel and sense him, even if he couldn't her. So he was still very apparent to her, regardless of if he was able to perceive her wavelengths or not. Such a quick and powerful burst should have taken him off guard, she'd like to think, since he couldn't have been expecting it nor could he have been ready to predict it. Tifaret turned slowly to see what became of Tear, but kept herself aware of her surroundings, in case he'd done something slick again.

The last thing to be seen before the room was a swirling supernova inferno were the flashing eyes of Tear, who seemed to have disappeared again just as the fire was consuming the area. If and when it calmed down, he was still nowhere to be found, as if he'd been completely incinerated.

But his voice called out from the shadows; a disembodied phantasm. "... That's Very Clever. You Are Really Catching On." He didn't have any quip this time, because he seemed to be focusing a little bit more intently on the battle this time, and wasn't messing around like he usually did. "... It's Nice To See That You Really Have Grown Stronger." Wherever he was speaking from, it sounded like he was nearer than he was. He had no sort of corrective comment to her this time around, or something nitpicky. He was no longer long-winded and eccentric. No, he was different now... And it showed.

Maybe this was who he was truly on the inside.

"... This Is The Last Favor I'm Going To Do For You This Bout. The Same Way You Can Negate Me From Seeing Your Wavelengths, I Can Do The Same. Only..." He suddenly appeared behind her yet again, completely unfazed by anything, and very much intact. He whispered, "... I'm Still Better Than You." He disappeared instantly after that, not telling her any details, but leaving it and everything he was doing still very vague. In fact, he didn't say much else after that, if anything at all, as he completely disappeared without a trace. It wasn't even clear if he was still in the room... But why would he leave, right? Who knows...?

Something was very different about this fight they were having than all of the other ones they'd ever had before. There was something underlying that was very strange, but Tifa liked it... Yet she also sort of hated it. She waited until Tear was finished talking, but took note of how he complimented her and had no snarky attitude or comment. It sounded like he was respecting her power and her development, and for some reason, it made her extremely overwhelmed emotionally. Her emotions poured out of her soul and coursed through her body, intensifying her strength. But she was also cautious to harness her power so that she didn't lose her edge of not showing how much she was building. Tear's words, though... They certainly brought her much more strength than she expected, and it didn't come from her anger, as it usually did.

This feeling she had was so intense, she became much more sharp and focused for whatever reason, and her determination and diligence skyrocketed. All such resilience she was known for became fortified and solidified in her intent to show Tear that she was a worthy opponent for him now, and would be forever. So, as he may have been able to completely conceal all of his wavelengths, which she also presumed meant her ability to perceive him as well, she could still see him when he made himself appear before her.

Even so, he was behind her, so she wouldn't be able to sense him coming nor when he made himself visible, since she'd still need to be looking at him to perceive him at that point. She did hear him, though, and off of pure instinctive reflex, for whatever reason, she reacted with instantaneous spontaneity at an unreal rate, and she'd speak, "Sealing Voidforce." The entire area that was behind Tifaret would suddenly be swept with a powerful nullifying force that would emanate from Tifa in a swift pulse. If Tear was caught in it at all, his powers would be nullified or voided altogether, and he would be without the ability to use his wavelength. The entire area where the Sealing Voidforce swept would become blackened in a sweeping fashion, as per by the mechanics of the force itself.

The vacuum of the voidforce's speed pushed some of the wavelengths which were before it out of its vicinity, like the application of pressure on a malleable object and it spilling out of its original parameters. At that point, Tear, who was indeed going to be swept away by it, was able to fluidly transition across every wavelength in motion all the way through the very area where those wavelengths were being pushed out of the boundary of the attack, and would reappear right there, glaring at Tifaret. "... It Must Be Sinking In By Now..." he said with emotionless haughtiness, "... Because It Looks To Me Like You're Starting To Get Serious, Too." Tifa never used the Sealing Voidforce unless she was mad, there was a threat, or she had intent to kill. Maybe, in this instance, Tear was incurring all three.

Tear: "Try Again."

With a cool head and rational mind, something like Tear, Tifa was able to keep from lunging headfirst into trying to overwhelm Tear and instead consider some different options. And maybe some repercussions of simply doing whatever she wanted, and not what was best or most accurate. So she took a moment to actually consider it for once, and she didn't move. She did, however, exchange staring daggers at Tear, blinking not once. Her body aflame with an unnatural radiant red to any light source, including a star, she raised her hand up to the void left behind by the Sealing Voidforce, then uttered, "Seal."

Greenish chains interlaced throughout the emptiness, sealing it in place, and also sealing off the area. That meant half of the area was inaccessible to Tear, and he was now at an even further disadvantage than he was before. "... Keep Talking."

Tear's shimmering eyes alight in the darkness suddenly started to go from shimmers to violent and tense trembling, like one would see on perhaps a feral creature, all before his entire body became a wavelength that shot before and past Tifaret so fast that the fraction of the nanosecond she had to register it in her head would be filled with only the faintest of flickers with the brightest of flashes before his reappearance seemingly instantaneously on the opposite end of the room, still just as close to the sealed portion as before.

'... Turn Around,' Tifaret would eventually hear in front of her, despite Tear now being behind her, and for some reason the word and the wind it traveled on was very sharp, and should have been able to physically damage her, as well as mentally and spiritually rupture her. It was like the lightest and fastest of blades edges skimming past her, and that was not the only one. '... How Fast Are Ya?' she'd head from a completely different direction, with a blade of force cutting through the air in a different location cutting at her, yet also still somehow penetrating her ear. '... Can You Even Tell...?'

The words started picking up speed suddenly, along with the onslaught that carried them.

'... Let This Be A Lesson To You That--' Soon after, the words overlapped, and became indistinguishable, but they were all a full-on educational lecture on the many ways Tear manipulated and utilized wavelengths to do everything he'd done and was still doing, and how very versatile that power truly was, despite being so simple. Whether she understood the words or not, she did indeed just receive an actual segment from him, only for him to say, audibly clearly as the words continued to cut her up, "... I Thought That Might Be A Better Way To Cut Down My Words As They Cut You Down To Size For The Umpteenth Time." Finally, Tear flashed his signature, deadly, nonchalant smile, and his eyes returned to being shimmering pools.

The initial scrape of the first cut of Tear's words was a surprise to Tifaret, but the next were not exactly unexpected. Whilst, yes, it was initially difficult to perceive the actions of Tear, it was only because Tifaret was not used to being ethereal and having ethereal qualities. She had never before been a Goddess of anything, unlike the other Tensei, who perhaps were many deities. Tifaret had never before been such a being, and being in a form like this was new to her, despite her being in a similar form before with the Hypernova Ignition. But this... This was beyond that.

She was the Amaterasu now -- something far brighter and hotter than any Hypernova. The Sun Goddess.

All such light of the moment was illuminated to her instinctively and naturally at the rise of her temperament, causing Tifaret's glowing body to redden into a more volatile looking shade -- one never before seen. It almost looked like some type of contamination, or signification of contamination. But, under the radiance of that light, Tear's malignant waves were exposed, and they were deciphered at speeds faster than a normal brain could comprehend... Because Tifaret no longer only used a brain, and now could experience all of the things that the brain perceived fully and completely.

In that moment, she realized what Tear was able to do, and that in her new form, she was able to do it, too.

"... Yeah, I Got The Message Loud And Clear, Tear," Tifa still found room to quip, despite being some type of horrendous violent red radiance right now. It was obvious that she was upset, but it was hard to determine just what she was actually feeling specifically, due to her reaction. Perhaps a tertiary emotion once unknown to her? Either way, she could now experience wavelengths at the speed of the wavelengths, and not in comparison to anything around them, as beings tended to do when measuring them. The light of the sun shined on her as the White Void dawned in her essence, as did the White Nova. And she was able to detect and evade the remaining verbal evisceration by evolving to meet her potential right there on the spot after experiencing Tear's level. "... But Maybe You're Not Listening To Me... So I Think It's Time We Stop Fucking Talking And Get Serious For Real, Huh?"

Tifaret's spontaneous adaptation was astounding to Tear, and even he was humbled by this feat that she performed. She was known to have bursts and spurts of those, but even those were not enough for her to actually give Tear a true-blue problem. Now that she was so powerful, his eyes were no longer cold and emotionless, but were sharp and tender...

But one couldn't tell from the expression on his face. That was relatively the same. It was the look in his shimmering eyes...

Regardless, the fact of the matter was that if things escalated, things could get hectic here in Pandemia, and potentially dangerous. Tifa seemed... In control... But she also seemed like she was too reactive now, and that anything done could trigger some sort of nuclear reaction in her. No matter how turned on Tear was, he could not simply abandon his duties. So, with cunning still in mind, he would casually approach her now, basking in her powerful heat and radiance. "... You Know What, Tifa? You're Right.
