Disney Magic; King Mickey

Whilst drifting inside of the Darkness, Overlord Tensei would finally see a platform for him to rest upon, which had the face of Sora on it, and each of the worlds that he'd conquered with a keyhole on them. When Overlord Tensei reached the platform, he would hear the voice of Sora in his mind. "... You shouldn't have used the power of darkness!" The voice of Sora spoke to him. "The Organization is nothing but trouble. They desire for everyone to succumb to the darkness so they can control their hearts like they do the Heartless." Sora, of all people, had great experience with the Organization and how they operated. It seemed like every time they were trusted, they ended up turning on the one that gave them the trust.

"Make a promise with me," Sora's voice spoke to Overlord Tensei, "If I help you to see King Mickey, you can't use the power of Darkness anymore." Sora could already sense that there were Heartless brewing, and that was no good. "The Heartless have already started spawning again because of the Power of Darkness. If they get out of hand, you won't even have time to speak to the King."

Overlord Tensei touched down on the platform as Sora started speaking to him in his mind. After what happened and the things that he needed to do in order to deal with events both within and beyond Kingdom Hearts, he wasn't exactly sure that he could make such a promise to Sora. Already, Overlord Tensei, in his own Darkness, felt as if he betrayed the kind-hearted Sora by even dealing with the Organization as he did. If nothing else, it was best to tell him the truth immediately and simply confess before they went along and Sora found out the hard way about Overlord Tensei and his darkness. "... Look..." he started off rather bluntly, with a tired look in his single visible eye, "I'm not gonna say I don't want to make that promise, because I certainly do, but..." Overlord Tensei looked down to the surface of the platform, gazing intensely at a single one of the keyholes to the realm Sora saved. "... I've already released Heartless. They're under my full control and won't do anything unless I tell them to, but as you probably guess... Having command of the Heartless doesn't exactly make me a good person." Overlord Tensei averted his gaze, looking off to the side, yet still to the ground. He crossed his arms lightly over his chest, letting his sleeves devoid of hands flutter and lay gently before him. "... I've done this before, and, well, let's just say, me and the old man are similar. Xehanort, I mean." What drives a man to the Darkness doesn't really differ too much, despite the very many variables that go into it.

Overlord Tensei closed his tired eye, not raising his head for a moment. "... I don't want to BE 'that guy,' but you know, so many people force my hand to deal with them in that way, I wonder if I am 'that guy' or not, sometimes." Overlord Tensei thought very deeply on his past, and how many clashing ideals and beliefs there were. Yet, out of all of them, he and his were the ones that came out victorious, like the valiant hero. Though, even so, it was at the expense of those who stood against him. "Or, perhaps, I am like you?" he wondered; considered, even. "You're the hero of this world. One of them, I suppose I should say. No matter how many villains or adversaries team up against you; hell, even a whole Organization of them, you still come out, even if you're alone. I think that makes the marking of the hero. One of them, at least." Overlord Tensei remained pensive, opening his eye. It was a lucid shimmering blue, like the depths of the sea, and no longer cold and hard like crystal nor pitch black and lifeless like the void. The more he thought, the more his eye shimmered.

"... But I won't go on too much and talk your ear off with my sentiments," he finally said, stopping himself from one of his infamous 'long-winded speeches' that everyone in his life, who were impatient and unwilling to listen, had always rejected. "... I've started something that cannot be stopped because of the protocols of my own conviction. Something... in my own heart that prevents me from doing things any differently than the way I must. You can say, I love someone enough to do things the way I know I should, even if it sometimes means that I have to take the heat." As tired as Overlord Tensei was of taking the fall, taking the blame, being slandered, attacked and all sorts of other things that came with being the one trying to do what was right in the correct format, somehow, he still managed to continue. "... It's like with you and your friends. You love them. Therefore, you do certain things because of that, which you never turn away from. For me and this person..." He looked up into the air, finally; into the pitch black darkness, with his eye shimmering now with a softness that looked like pure tenderness, "... He Is Why I Must Do Things This Way." Hopefully, Sora would understand. Overlord Tensei finally lowered his head and continued solemnly, "... Even If It Means I Don't See The King At All."

There was silence in the Darkness for a short time. Sora was listening. He heard the words from Overlord Tensei knowing they came from his heart, and there before him, in a flash of light, Sora, himself, would appear standing on the platform of all his conquest. "I understand what you're saying, Overlord Tensei..." Sora said with a forlorn expression on his face, "... But using the Heartless to get your way... Makes you no different from any of the other people that I've had to face. They all have their own ideals and beliefs, but they use the Heartless to force them on people. I don't want you doing the same thing." Sora looked up to Overlord Tensei with a strong look; one of determination and conviction. "If you really have control over them, then I want you to call them off. There's no reason for you to stoop to the level of the Organization." Sora seemed adamant about this decision, knowing what the Heartless were and how they were treated. "I'd rather not have more of them running around, even if it seems convenient right now for them to deal with the Organization. When they gather together, all sorts of bad guys start showing up, and I don't want any trouble."

Sora stepped forward. He was somewhat shorter than Overlord Tensei, but still he was able to look him in the eye and smile at him, as Sora did. "You don't seem like a bad guy, so don't do things like a bad guy, and maybe people won't confuse you for a bad guy!" The answer was simple, but it was straight forward and true. "That's why I think you shouldn't use the Heartless. There's no way a good guy can use them and not become like them. Everyone tries... but everyone fails." Sora had seen too many good people succumb to the Darkness already. His friends; his family, rather. Each of them, in their own way, had been taken by the Darkness. Even Sora, himself, had once succumbed. "Take it from me," he said, speaking out of personal experience, and pointing to himself with his thumb, "I've been going through this Darkness for a real long time. My friends were once overtaken by the Darkness. Even my best friend, Riku, was in the Darkness for a long time." Sora would suddenly place his hand on Overlord Tensei's shoulder, then look up gingerly to him, "... But I got them back because I didn't get consumed, even if, for short times, I also succumbed to it." Sora would not deny that he and Overlord Tensei were similar in this manner. Sora was no stranger to the Darkness, yet he was the one who always made it out and back into the light.

"You know what I think?" He'd say, trying to lighten the mood, "... I think you and I are the same. If that's true, then even if you're alone for a really long time... You'll meet people who are fighting for the same cause as you. Just like Donald and Goofy for me. Those guys are how I know that even when I'm alone... I'm never alone!" Sora would place his fists on his hips decisively, having made up his mind. "And neither are you, Overlord Tensei!" He nodded his head decisively as well, securing the fact in his head. "Even if no one else is your friend here, I'll be your friend. And any friend of mine is a friend of my friends, so if you really do want to stop the Organization and get rid of the Darkness... You have to start with yourself." This was Sora's conclusion of the matter. "So, will you call off the Heartless and see what the King has to say? I think he might have some solutions, and if you came all this way just to try to stop the Darkness from spreading, then I think whatever you have to say, he'll listen." Sora touched his chest with his hand, right over his heard. "King Mickey is a good guy. He would never reject anyone who is trying to walk toward the Light." That much, Sora was certain of.

Overlord Tensei's heart-wrenching story was a lot for Sora to hear, especially because he could relate in his own way. "... That's too bad..." he'd say, in reference to the people that were Overlord Tensei's friends, whom he claimed had become like the Organization. "But you know, not everyone in the Organization is bad. In fact, I think some of them are friends! Or, something like it.." He scratched his cheek with a bit of uncertainty, looking away. "Well, even if they aren't friends with each other, or act like they aren't, they still do things that friends do sometimes. Even with me!" This didn't go for every member, and only a select few of them, but regardless of it, it meant that there was hope for people who were like them, as well. "So, that means, if I can make friends with some of the Organization members, even if not with all of them, then that can happen with your 'Organization' members, too. If not all of them, then some of them." There was one in particular, Lea, that Sora was particularly fond of, and he was with him, as well, it seemed.

"So, with that said... It's a deal!" Sora extended his hand to shake with Overlord Tensei, then smiled goofily, but sincerely. "A promise!" Sora waited for Overlord Tensei to shake hands with him, and then they would go to the King.

Sora was quite pleased to hear that Overlord Tensei planned to keep his promise. He was so happy, he almost jumped for joy. He restrained himself, though, at hearing Overlord Tensei's request for rest, or to replenish his lost energy, which seemed to be being drained from him the longer he was away from his home world. Though Sora didn't know exactly how much energy Overlord Tensei was using up, if he had enough to be on par with the Organization and be doing all sorts of other things and consider himself weak, then when he was at full strength, he must have been really strong. "Yeah, sure! That's what friends are for!" They were friends now, so Sora would do everything he could to help him in his time of need. "Uh, but what kind of energy do people from your world... Need? There are all types here. Potions for your health... Ether for your manna... And Drive Recovery for your transformation!" These were the main forms of energy replenishment that were naive to the land, and Sora had access to them all. "Just name it, and I'll share them with you." He smiled, feeling lighthearted and warmed now. It was just like being with Donald or Goofy or the King. He didn't see Overlord Tensei as any different from any of them. To him, it was just like any of the other heroes of the other worlds joining his Party and helping him take down whatever threat there was. Just another adventure with another person who was willing to be on the same team.

Sora seemed fascinated in Overlord Tensei's powers. He had a childish wonderment in his eyes that made them light up like stars. "Woah, you can stay in your Forms when you transform?!" He shouted with amaze. "That's awesome! Oh man, if I could do that, the Organization and the Heartless would be no sweat! Easy!" He considered having someone like Overlord Tensei on his team a really big boost in the battle against the Darkness. "Oh, yeah, before I forget, here you go." Sora would pull out some Drive Recoveries for Overlord Tensei, which were in the shape of Drive Spheres, and gave them to him. "Man, I can't wait to see what you can do when you fight! I hope it's something cool!" Sora summoned his Keyblade, which appeared in his hand in a flash of light. "Maybe we can go head to head sometime. I think it would be real fun!" To Sora, it would be like his old times with Riku at the Destiny Islands, where they would always fight with swords for fun.

"Buuut, we'll deal with all of that later, after we take care of what's lurking in the Darkness." Sora raised his Keyblade over his shoulder and let it rest there, smiling. "That's what you're here for, right?" He laughed a little bit, then waited for Overlord Tensei to get ready. "Whenever you're set to see the King, I'll take us!" Sora had the key to the locks of pretty much every world there was across this one, since he'd already been to them and made friends with the people that were there. Just like he unlocked the way to 'The World That Never Was' for Overlord Tensei before, he could unlock any of the other places as well.

Sora was taken aback by the sudden transformation of Overlord Tensei. It startled him briefly, and he jumped back, but once he started looking, he couldn't take his eyes off of him. "Woah..." Sora muttered under his breath. "Hey, your hair changed color!" That was more or less the only noticeable difference, at least, to Sora's eyes. "That's pretty neat. At least I'll know if you ever need some juice again!" Something obvious like that would make it easy for Sora to pay attention to, just in case.

"Well, I don't see any reason to wait around here anymore." Sora tapped his Keyblade on the ground a bit, then spun it around in his hand. "Let's go see the King!" He pointed his Keyblade out toward the Darkness triumphantly, then shot a beam of light toward one of the keyholes on the large platform. At that moment, a great beam of light shot out of the keyhole and suddenly it was filled and disappeared from the surface of the platform. It had the face of Mickey Mouse on it, as well as a large tower, and also a great star. When the keyhole disappeared, the platform began to glow, and Sora started walking toward it. "Come on, Overlord Tensei! Last I checked, the King was here!" He walked toward the glowing platform and would allow it to carry him to the next destination once he and Overlord Tensei stepped on it.
