| Being led swiftly and promptly through the corridors of the rather large gothic-style cathedral sort of school, which looked far more grim at night than it did in the day, Tear would bring the visiting Krikor out of the rain and to his 'Death Chambers,' which was a room that was, more or less, completely pitch black save for the light of a green moon that shone up in the sky and tinted the room slightly green whilst remaining predominantly blackened; at least enough to be able to see everything without tripping over or bumping into anything. It was clear that this place was not the same sort of realm as the one outside, and seemed to be some sort of isolated realm in and of itself.
"Ah, mind the stairs when you come down; it is hard to see, even with the light of the green moon, for eyes that are not adjusted to coming down here." He felt it was best to warn Krikor of these things, since they were definitely things that could have him slip and fall somehow just because he may have accidentally missed a stair. "Sit. Relax! May I offer you anything, or do you just wish to talk right now?"

| "Thank you, but no," Krikor said, sitting in the chair that Tear had indicated while taking in the sight of his office, clearly impressed by the office itself as well as how it was somehow disconnected from the rest of the Academy, despite seemingly being attached to it like a normal room. "I feel like it would be best to get down to business straight away. First, a question, Mr. Lacrimoso -- have you ever heard of a form of magic called sanguimancy?" _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| Tear nodded his head in acceptance to his polite decline, extending his arm in an inviting manner to Krikor's speech, "Ah, well! Straight to business, then! I rather enjoy that, myself. Hmhmhm." He would place his hand on the desk as he waited for Krikor to explain himself and what his troubles were, only to be inquired about a certain 'Sanguimancy,' which caught Tear's attention. "... Hmm... 'Sanguimancy?' No, I cannot say I've heard of that in all my time in the Veritas..." he would ponder a moment, seeming to be thinking deeply on the very word itself, before responding not too much later, "Yet, from breaking down the root of the word and its definition of pertaining to a blood-red color or blood itself, I would deduce that it is a sort of magic relating to 'blood' or the color 'red', am I correct?" | |

| Krikor nodded. "Indeed. Sanguimancy is, quite simply, blood magic. As far as I'm aware, I'm the last practitioner -- at least, I'm the only one I know of in my travels across the multiverse -- which would explain why you haven't heard of it before."
"At any rate, when sanguimancers first undergo their training, we flush all of the blood and bone marrow out of our bodies and replace it with that of another being. When we do, we save a portion of our original blood and, later on, use magic to turn it into metal called blood ore. We then forge this ore into a piece of armor or a weapon, and that object then takes on a consciousness of its own that mirrors that of the creator."
"When I went to the homeworld -- or rather, former homeworld -- of the sanguimancers, I found a cache of such weapons and armor. As such, I outfitted myself with them," Krikor continued, motioning to his sword and armor. "Originally, even when I travelled from world to world, I was able to communicate with their consciousnesses with my mind. They added their power to mine and made me strong. However, ever since I came here, I have only been able to contact one, that is, my right gauntlet, Ashcroft. I was hoping you might be able to give me some inkling as to what's going on." _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| Tear listened intently to the man's explanation on this 'Sanguimancy,' and though there were those who had a similar practice here, it was not exactly the same as his people's. "Hmmm..." he pondered, placing a hand to his chin, "The closest thing we have to this 'Sanguimancy' you speak of are the Blood Witches that live in the Scarlet Manor up on the higher level of the Veritas, the Dawn... But their Blood Magic is more general; not quite a s specific as this whole 'sanguimancy' that is native to you..." He thought more deeply on the situation, adjusting his eyes for a 'Soul Notation' so that he could peer into the weapons and observe the spirits that live within them.
"Hmmm..." he hummed again in thought, now being able to see each individual soul inside of each individual piece of armor that harbored a different one, as well as Krikor's. "I see... Only able to contact one, you say?" As Tear peered into their souls, he found that there was a disconnect in their Resonance, which was blocking his communication with them, as well as their communication with him. Though the cause was unknown, it was probably due to a disharmony between each of them upon entering the Veritas, which may or may not have altered the polarities of their wavelengths.
"Alright. After peering into your souls and witnessing for myself the consciousness that lives inside of each weapon, I have deduced that you, upon coming into this world, might have experienced a spiritual imbalance which has caused a desynchronization of your mind and soul with their own due to the means of travel. That is to say, your souls are not in tune and thus, you cannot hear nor access them, and they, you." He would lean upon the desk now with his elbows pressed upon it and his fingers locked before his face, slightly under his chin. "Fortunately for you, we specialize in such methods of communication, as we harbor many weapons, called 'Instruments,' that are, more or less extremely similar, even down to how they are fashioned. One takes the soul of a different being, the Spiritual Energy, the magic or manna of another being, the Creative Energy, and the vessel or physical construct of the being whose form they wish to take, the Life Energy, and meld them together to create Living Weapons; the Instruments. They become the creature that their soul wishes to take, the vessel of the weapon whose form they wish to assume and the magical energy of that which binds them together and allows for fluid transition from Weapon to Organic form at their will."
He would lean back then, becoming more relaxed, his eyes shimmering like the moon, "That is to say; I feel as though this facility may be able to assist you in your endeavors. Here at Pandemia, we teach others the way of the Soul so that they may learn to communicate in a spiritual level, being able to perceive Souls and their Wavelengths, link with them through resonance and utilize them in combat. Do you think any of these things would be of any use to you?"

| "I believe it's in my best interest to accept," Krikor replied after pondering for a moment. "I have no other recourse. What must I do?" he asked, folding his hands in his lap, seeming eager to hear more. _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| "Well," Tear would begin, opening up a drawer under his desk, "You see, you'll have to go through the proper enrollment process..." he added, pulling out a sheet of paper, "Strictly for accurate documentation, you see, so we can have you on file as a registered student." He'd place the paper on the desk, which had all of the benefits, terms and rules of Pandemia that had been carried over from its time as 'Mors Academia' before their recent move and slight change in architecture and environment.
"Here at Pandemia, we provide you with top of the line services that you may explore to your leisure, which include, but are not limited to, access to our Library harboring many of the finest selections of the Terrain, Creatures and History of the Veritas (for your studying needs), an Infirmary for if you so happen to be injured during battle, be it a spar or out in the wild, Classes for you to attend to receive personal instruction (upon request) or partake of your own training sessions outside of the designated class time, as well as an on campus dormitory in the back fit with all such living arrangements one may need; bed and food being the main priorities. The rooms are co-ed and are to be treated as your own personal housing whilst you are attending here, so do not fret about customizing and personalizing your own living space to your comfort."
As he went over the rubric, he would point down to the next section, about classes, "Our classes teach you all of the basics about how to use Instruments as well as how to learn the Arts of the Soul (since not all students harbor or even wish to use an Instrument, and some students are Instruments themselves, mind you). This pertains to being able to perceive or sense souls, being able to harness they and their energy offensively, defensively and supportively to your need, how to become in tune with your own as well as synchronize with those of others and how to analyze and effectively 'Reap or Resonate' with the souls of the wild creatures that may threaten you or that you may wish to befriend out in the wilderness. We do allow you to keep whatever creatures you may find, however they MUST be tamed completely, or else they will NOT be allowed on school property, as a means of safety." He would raise his finger from the paper and continue on, leaning back in his chair, but still looking Krikor in the eye, "Because this is also an Art school, and those such things assist one in learning how to access the power of the Soul, our classes include, but are not limited to; Music, Drawing, Writing and other forms of artistic expression in addition to your natural General Studies, which, more or less, are looped into the actual hands-on training. It's easier to just demonstrate when the time comes, so I won't bore you with the details."
As he was finishing up his explanation, he would simultaneously slip his hand into his desk and bring out a fine fountain pen with a full moon on the back end, as though it were personalized specifically for him, and would place it beside the paper.
"Please read over this rubric and sign your name at the bottom. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to ask now or at any given time you may have them, since these that I have spoken verbally are only the mere basics of the criteria."

| Tear couldn't help but to chuckle at his comment, finding it a bit humorous, himself. "Ahaha!! Ah, well, age is no factor here, as you'll soon see from our um... Head Mistress, or the 'Principal' of the school. You'd be MORE than surprised about her age. And besides," Tear would go on, knowing Krikor's age after peering into his soul, "You don't seem much younger than I. Certainly, as long as your profile and credibility are on the up and up, age shouldn't dictate your sociability, regardless of whom nor how old one or another may be!" Tear may not have seemed very old from his unusually smooth, baby face, but he was actually in his mid 20's. Tear was strong believer in such freedoms, as he enjoyed seeing how people of all varieties interacted with each other, and also knew that everyone needed assistance when it came to these matters, regardless of age or background. Age was nothing but a number and background was nothing but an interesting story to tell, the way he saw it. Those such things should not divert one from the pursuit of knowledge nor the understandings of Art and the Soul.
When inquired about tuition, he could not help but to chuckle again, a bit louder this time, as he had never heard that one before, quite honestly. "Hahahaha!! Tuition, he asks! Well, I'm quite aware that most schools would normally charge some sort of outrageous tuition fee, however that is because they use currency for every service that they provide; food, drink, shelter, electricity, equipment and the like... Here at Pandemia, most, if not all of those things are either already built into the structure of the school or can be provided through the use of any of our special capabilities. So, currency isn't really necessary for much, especially once you begin to more finely develop your own special skills. Then it becomes more like a... Home, if you will, that you simply help take care of through your own contributions to maintaining yourself and, every so often, others around you. Keep the school safe from harm and the Delta protected from threats, and that is more than enough 'tuition' for us. We are funded to keep this land safe, and we do not need much money due to the conservative nature of the school thanks to our powers. So, in short..." he'd lean back extending both hands to the side, "We're covered." From being paid as a protection agency and their own powers, as well as the students basically being able to fend for themselves, it was a 'Free Admission' sort of deal, as long as you worked hard and could hold your own.
"Now, as terms of currency," he'd say as he leaned back forward, in all such seriousness, "We on the Veritas are quite privy to the use of electronic currency what one may know as 'points.' Our Value system is not tangible, but can be carried with you at all times, placed on your very existence, so to speak. Anything that is of value that you may sell can and will be given to you as 'Points' that you can universally use to make any sort of purchases or exchanges you may like. It all remains the same, so there is no tax nor inflation or deflation in terms of the currency itself; merely a constant, stable and concrete value system that remains as it is for any and all in order to maintain a universal balance. That is to say; the price of something is usually universally accepted as being the same wherever you go, though merchants here have free reign over their prices (within fair boundaries, of course). One achieves these 'points' by slaying or befriending monsters, completing missions or menial tasks and, well, basically any and all forms of work that you do. In exchange for helping the Veritas, the Veritas helps you in return automatically." He was referring to, naturally, the very world itself; Tinasanti, which was a living being. Her values could change at any time, but would be universally so and not merely in a specific area.
"Even though this is our currency, many people are capable of fending for themselves without ever even using it, unless they just want to enjoy something very nice for themselves that they can only get at one of the services around here." He couldn't say the same for the Dusk, though. They were a... Special case. But he wouldn't go into that. "Anyway, does that answer your question? If so, then feel free to place your signature at any given time, my good man!"

| Krikor listened intently to Tear's responses to his questions, thinking about how the point system this world used was unlike any other world that he'd been to. "I have no further questions, Mr. Lacrimoso," he said once Tear was finished speaking, taking up the pen that had been handed to him. He signed his name at the bottom of the form, then handed both the form and the pen back to him. _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| "Ah, yes, very good, then!" Tear would immediately collect the paper and place it back in his desk, in order for it to be dealt with at a later point in time. "Now then, shall I escort you to your Dorm room, or would you care for a tour? If you like, you may explore the campus at your own leisure, perhaps attempt to mingle with the students and make friends, or something of the sort, or get familiar with navigation?" These were mere and simple suggestions, certainly, in case Krikor needed some assistance. "If you ever need me, you can always come here. Otherwise, I will be wandering about the school, taking care of business. Never hesitate to ask me a question or request my presence. I'll be there in a flash. Hmhmhm."
Quite honestly, he hoped that Krikor made lots of new friends and such. Perhaps they could organize a team or a unit of sorts and become a group that would sortie on missions and whatnot, if not on their own individual assignments.
"By the way," he had to add before concluding the application process, "In order for proper placement, you will need to have an assessment. A Placement Test, if you will, that will allow me to see what your strengths and weaknesses are and in what classes you would best be recommended to attend, naturally, in addition to the selection of your own. This will also give you access to our 'Battle Room,' which is for training and sparring both with others and personally, as well as for other sorts of assessments to occur. You will also learn how to fight some of the creatures of this world here in order to have an upper hand out in the field." Tear would stop there, knowing he had a tendency to go on long-winded and detailed explanations about everything save for himself. He enjoyed things like that, quite honestly.
"Ah, but let me not go on rambling. Please, let me know what you'd like to do from here, Mr. Hosvepian."

| Tear's mentioning of a combat assessment piqued Krikor's interest. "I do have a few questions, Mr. Lacrimoso," he said once Tear had finished speaking. "First, when will this assessment test be? Second, outside of learning the ways of Instruments and combat, what other sorts of classes are offered here?" _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| "The assessment may be at any given time before you actually complete any courses," Tear said promptly, "So this means you are free to look around and even fit yourself in a Dorm, or even go out and explore the city. The only protocol about that is that you must take the placement test BEFORE you are eligible for any classes." He cleared his throat, straightening up. "Now, about the actual classes themselves... Each of the classes tie into each other in some form or another, be it the general principles of the class; Art, Music, Writing and the like, to the actual area that such things focus on, such as getting in tune with your Soul, understanding your Soul, synchronizing with the Souls of others, synchronizing with the souls of your Instruments, learning about the Souls of your Instruments and learning about how to use your own Soul and/or your Instrument's Soul as a weapon through the projection of its Spiritual Energy into forms of Wavelengths and frequencies and the like. Hence, because of this, it is an Art school, since Color (Light), Imagination, Sound and such all focus heavily on cultivating one's own Soul through the methods of these Wavelengths. We intent to also add more classes in the future based on the needs of the students and staff." Before Tear went on too much with a long and intricate explanation that was to be saved for the classroom, he would stop there and look to Krikor with his signature deadly nonchalant smile, asking in conclusion, "Does that answer your question, Mr. Hosvepian?" | |

| Tear quirked a brow, "Silly? No, not in the slightest! Proper questions are what expose one to the proper answers, and all seems right proper if you've got everything understood, yes?" He chuckled to himself, rising to his feet, "Well, then, I suppose if there is nothing else to be done, you should probably get situated... Unless you had the intention of taking your assessment anytime soon, or going outside of school grounds... The storm has probably let up by now." He was able to feel that it had, actually, with how very acute his waves were with those of nature. Yet, he wouldn't let on with how calm and composed he was. "Oh, and welcome to Pandemia. It shall be a pleasure to have you here," he'd conclude with a bow. | |

"If it's all the same to you," he continued, "I'd like to take my assessment test as soon as possible. If I do say so myself." He adjusted his jacket and started up the stairs. "If you'll please follow me, then? I shall escort you to the Battle Room where all such combative functions are designated to be held." Tear would then lead Krikor to the Battle Room, naturally showing and explaining to him any of the other important rooms along the way, if they were to come across any, that is.

| "No, not at all!" said Tear as the door swung open, catching just the last words of Krikor as he did, "I was actually rather expecting to see you, Krikor. I have matters to discuss with you about your classes!" He bowed his head courteously to the both of them, flashing his signature deadly nonchalant smile to the duo, "Ah, and you've brought Yumiya... Or, perhaps, he brought you?" He chuckled, knowing Krikor was still a little green about the navigation here, but it was to be expected until he got the true swing of things. "Well, I'm glad the two of you are getting along. Come in, the both of you! I'm sure you have matters you wish to discuss with me." | "Oh!" Yumiya shouted, a bit surprised at how quickly and accurately timed he just so happened to appear. Tear did that a lot, which was kinda weird. "Um, y-yeah..." Being thrown off, he started walking down the stairs behind him, gathering his words as he did. "... I'm... Well, we're here to try to unlock our souls, Mr. Lacrimoso. I feel like I'm ready this time!" He would stop in front of Tear's desk, this time with a face of slight determination. "I don't know what was wrong last time, but something feels really different this time! Like I know I can do it right!" | |

| Krikor followed behind Tear and Yumiya, not saying anything while Yumiya spoke. He hoped that Tear would give Yumiya a try, since he seemed so passionate about it. He knew he would give it his all if Tear gave him another chance -- that's just the kind of person Yumiya was (or so he'd gathered) -- but would it be enough? _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| Tear sat and gazed deeply at Yumiya, as if peering at something that he could not see. His eyes were focused and sharp, yet still glistening like water. "... You truly believe you are ready?" he inquired sternly, eyes retaining their focus. "... Your soul is more open than it was when you first came. That is the difference. What was holding you back before was how reserved you were being; thus, you were containing your own soul and making it weak, unable to be unlocked. This is a fundamental truth about the Soul and the Spirit; those are meant to be expressed freely and truthfully, and if one does not, they not only hold back their souls, but the energy that comes from it, as well as a part of themselves." Tear knew why Yumiya could not unlock his soul before, but it was not his place to tell him then. Now that he has had time to open up himself more, Tear could finish the job, as what his purpose was.
"It seems it was fated that you and Krikor meet; his influenced has helped you to blossom. What you needed was someone to help you to open up, for you were timid and afraid of expressing the part of your true self that is your soul... You needed a little push that you, yourself were having trouble doing." He smiled, nodding his head to Krikor, "You should be thanking him." Krikor had done Yumiya quite the service, indeed. "When you are situated, I will begin."

| Krikor put a hand reassuringly on Yumiya's shoulder. "You can do this, Yumiya," he said, "I know you can." _________________ Leaving Earth -- A Requiem for a Lost World

| Yumiya lowered his head after hearing the thorough explanation from Tear about why he couldn't unlock his soul before. He had no idea that it was actually he, himself that was holding his own soul back... Well, how could he when he didn't even know it was possible? But, now with the explanation, it all made sense. He was the one avoiding people. Being reserved. Closing himself off... And thus, that meant that he was also closing off his soul and couldn't have it awakened because he wasn't allowing it to be opened of his own free will. These things were clicking in his head, but it still made him a bit upset to know that it was all his doing and not anything else...
... But Krikor's words of assurance quickly uplifted him, as did his presence in general. Just like Tear said. Suddenly, the weight on his chest had gone away, and he lifted his head with a smile toward Krikor. "Thank you, Krikor. Somehow, that makes me feel like I can, too." He turned to Tear and nodded his head, eyes now filled with determination and fervor. "I'm ready," he said decisively.
