The Veritas War; Dusk

"All Who Are Seeking Combat With The Tensei, Let The Royal Family Come Upon You And Your Might Be Tested." Shiniere the Me-ou was, of course, sitting in the holographic projection room. This meant that she was broadcasting to everyone in the Veritas at the same time from her superposition in space, thus allowing them to see via projected holographic screens.

Queen Archdeath heard about and saw firsthand what the Me-ou was speaking of with the revolt. The Dusk was hit first when the next shipment of Depthsroot Residents were not only not ready for life in the Dusk, but they were challenging the Tensei, trying to best them.

"I Am Your Queen," cried the Ruler of the Dusk from Manor Malfortuna, of which she had commandeered as her living space and throne, "You Cannot Defy Your Queen!"

Suddenly, from out of the house in a blur of black was Shinritha, Queen Archdeath. She appeared next as a silhouette in the midst of the Blue Moon that perpetually hung over the Dusk. Her heterochromatic black and white eyes gleamed red at the sight of the Dusk Citizens deciding to fight the Tensei and become more grand than the Queen. They were already fighting for the highest position under the Queendom, but attempting to go for the Queenship, itself, was a different story.

The entire Central City of the Dusk, La Crysta, powered itself up by drawing in a voluminous amount of Myst from the surrounding area, and fired a concentrated laser at the Queen who served as now but a means of measurement of power.

The Dusk Citizens used the Magitek that they learned about at DTI to infuse their Manna into Mechanica and have the Mechanica be obedient to them. They also used the Magitek to grant themselves incredible powers in order to face off against Queen Archdeath, herself. The manufacturers made it their sole priority to vend what was anti-Tensei so that they could defeat the enemy. Things were getting out of hand fast.

Queen Archdeath was appalled at this behavior from the Dusk, which was supposed to be functioning perfectly like a well-oiled machine by now. "You Cannot Use Mechanica Against Me!" she cried, "I AM Mechanica, Herself!" Though she wasn't the original Mechanica, she was still the hostess of the new Mechanica core, which was her ascendant self as Chroma.

The first thing to do was to suck out all of their power. It was a good thing that her father was a vampire. "This Won't Take Very Long At All..." Queen Archdeath murmured, "And Then They Will Realize That I Am Goddess Of The ENTIRE Dusk, Not Just The City!"

Still in the light of the Blue Moon as a silhouette, Queen Archdeath extended her wings across the sky and blotted out the moon. With one decisive pull of her wings, she withdrew not only all of the Myst in the City, but also a great deal from the Continent, itself, which gave her extra power whilst she took away the power from the Dusk Citizens.

"White Glint," she uttered, a gleam in her white eye flashing whilst simultaneously marking a target within the city with a gleam, as well. The White Glint cut through everything in its path all the way to its target -- one of the businessmen that oversaw the manufacturing of the Dusk. He was literally cut slit to pieces from the single glare of Queen Archdeath, and no longer would anyone listen to him. "Mechanica!" she cried, "National Emergency. Apprehend The Dusk Citizens." Even with their Magitek, the Mechanica could be manually controlled by the Core; Chroma -- which was Queen Archdeath's heart. They would turn on their 'masters' and follow their default code for when the Dusk Citizens got disorderly, all whilst she gave this speech:

"Dusk Citizens! All Of The Dusk Is Powered By Mechanica! It Is Completely Automated. Your Manual Works Are To Keep You From Sinning, But Now You Have Sinned Greatly Against The Tensei. Because Of This, In The Name Of My Father, I Will Rebuke You."

At that moment, the Mechanica took over the city again and each one dealt with a number of Dusk Citizens.

The Mechanica overwhelmed the Dusk Citizens and many of them perished or became mechanized, merging with Mechanica and becoming part of Mechanica's Factorial City, which extended to the Dusk. They were completely overwhelmed and were forced to evacuate the city by the city, itself, without question and without resistance.

The Dusk Citizens walked in a single file line back into the Dusk, each of them jobless because the Dusk had become Mechanica's Factorial City and was automated. The Mechanica did all of the work and powered everything and was controlled by a Master Control unit supercomputer that continuously watched over the Mechanica's code, both sending and receiving in algorithms.

The Dusk Citizens would still be cared for, yes, but they would not be operating any machinery nor doing any type of work at all, in fact. They would just live in the Dusk with the city, itself, serving them and ensuring that their whims were met.

This was only up to a degree, of course, because the supercomputer Master Control unit for Mechanica was in charge of how the entire city of La Crysta operated -- it was its own sentient being and would intervene on the Dusk Citizens should something occur. It made itself very clear as a holographic projected screen high atop the city's Clock Tower; highest point in the city. They would all know of it and it of they independently, since they were now living on top of what was now part of Mechanica and Mechanica's Factorial City.

Though the Dusk Citizens were torn and mangled as a people, their lives of being served and not having to work became paradise for them. Some even went to the college to study the arts of Manna and Magitek.

They were so terrified of the overbearing influence that they obeyed its every whim, as it did them. It was because of the results of the war that they were afraid of the supercomputer and the Queen once again, yet they adored their Queen for giving them a life of paradise.

The war had ended.
