Rainbow Bay

The Black Friday walked inside this like, mansion, or something and found some people doing things. She almost opened her mouth to say something, then immediately decided against it, seeking to pass them up. It wasn't until she stumbled into a chair accidentally that she sighed and said, "Guess I'm here now..." Her pale skin was ghastly, and her gothic lolita attire was cute and tight on her body everywhere except the skirt.

The Black Friday sat with a deadpan expression on her face, head turning slowly and hesitantly to what apparently were twins.

The Black Friday's head slowly turned to meet the eye of Aravena, who spoke to her. "... Uh, hello." Her voice was as monotonous as her deadpan expression. Her head creaked back over to the twins, who stared her down. Something fell off of the table in between them after gazing for too long.

The Black Friday became silent and turned her head to gaze at generally nothing, eyes unblinking and like that of empty voids. Her gloved hands rested lightly in her lap. "... Uh, okay."

The Black Friday body shifted to avoid the finger, her upper torso the only thing in motion. The rest of her body was completely stationary. "That's bad luck," she cursed, legitimately revolving around the finger as to not be touched and inflict it upon the unsuspecting one for touching her. "I don't really care, but seven years is a long time," she said. The child creature seemed upset. "Uh, shouldn't you like... Take care of that before something terrible happens?" Food started to rot nearby.

The Black Friday was almost fool enough to pick up the food and throw it away, but she knew she wouldn't make it three steps to the trash can. The food quickly decayed, which smelled for a little while, but eventually withered away, smell and all. Black Friday's empty sockets blinked as she said, "Thanks, I guess." It didn't seem like she was big on communication. How she got here was a mystery; who she was, a bigger one.

The Black Friday was outside, now. She wasn't comfortable being inside because of her accursed nature, and she was unfamiliar with this place. She sat in a seat, emotionlessly looking around with her empty eye sockets.

The Black Friday slowly turned her head to Leo, her body seeming as stiff as someone who was dead. At first, she was not going to say anything, but eventually she came to speak, "Uh, no." She seemed to be trying to make as little movement and interaction as possible.

The Black Friday did not move. "... I'm not dead nor undead," Black Friday said. "I'm a dark fairy with a lot of bad luck."

The Black Friday gazed off into the abyss with her void-like eyeless sockets. "... Maybe a little bit of both," she'd say monotonously. Something fell on the floor nearby; it was unknown as to how. "I've lived with myself since creation. I have control over my aura. The influence still occurs every so often based on various conditions." No emotion was in her voice as she spoke.

The Black Friday hovered into the main hall of the Rainbow Bay from a dark dimensional void that appeared, which sent out a wave of misfortune through the area. A glass cracked at the appearance of the dark fairy, her gothic lolita attire reflecting in the shine, but she knew it to be natural for things like that to happen. With a heavy, dreary sigh, she fluttered down on her distorted wings of darkness and sat at the table.

The Black Friday turned her head to the one already occupying the table, gazing at her with empty black eye sockets, her face as expressionless as her skin pale. As she did this, the already cracked glass shattered suddenly, the jarring noise causing Black Friday to turn her head to look at what it was that shattered at her presence. "... Oh, great..." she said dryly, "... I bet some stiff is gonna make me pay for that..."

The Black Friday simply watched as a series of unfortunate events unraveled from her appearance, as usual. She was going to have to counteract it before it got any worse. With a heavy sigh, she asked the young lady reluctantly, "Are you alright...?"

The Black Friday was going to stay quiet, but sighed again, realizing that there was no way to do that anymore. Small talk was not her forte nor was it her preference, so it was like pulling teeth with her. "... Best to get straight to the point..." she muttered under her breath. "Who are you?"

The Black Friday turned her head, facing forward. "I see." She was quiet for a while, but after a moment or two, something fell from the table, seemingly randomly. She sighed once more, furrowing her brow. "... You can call me... Black Friday," she'd finally say, picking up what had fallen and placing it back on the table.

The Black Friday now turned her head away from Zahra, making an obscure face. "Yeah, you say that NOW..." was all that Black Friday said. Her negativity seemed to know no bounds, and because of it, some of the food on the table in front of her began to rot and wither gradually. The change was barely noticable at first, but became exceedingly apparent as time passed. "... It's not exactly... 'Nice' to meet ME..." she finally went on to say, hinting at the strange misfortunes happening seemingly randomly.

The Black Friday's face worsened into a grimace, her head still turned away from Zahra. "Whatever... You'll see..." The fire in the fireplace started to crackle a bit more wildly with Black Friday's negativity, and the rotting food completely withered away into dust. "... You might even say it's dangerous to be near me..." Black Friday knew of her influence, and though she had control over it, if she felt or acted negatively, bad things began to happen. Finally, she turned to face Zahra, asking her, "Have you ever heard of 'Bad Luck'?"

The Black Friday smirked now, another glass cracking with the rise of her smile, growing more and more cracked as her smile widened. "I AM Bad Luck," she stated blatantly, before her smirk faded back into a melancholy frown. The cracked glass merely fell to pieces instead of shattered as the one before it did. "... It's what I'm made out of. I'm a dark fairy, and my manna is Bad Luck. My very essence is Bad Luck, itself."

The Black Friday sighed heavily. "That's what I'm trying to tell you... I have potent control over fortune, itself. It's called 'Alfortuna', but I was originally cursed with something called 'Malfortuna' that is induced when I'm in my dark form... Which is this; as Black Friday. Normally, I'm just Friday -- or, 'Good Friday' -- where my Alfortuna functions to normalcy. I just... Get sort of negative sometimes and Bad Luck is how it comes out." She paused, but when on to say, "Bad Luck also gives me power. The number thirteen, cracks, salt, superstition -- they all give me power, as a Fae. That's where I derive my strength, as the Friday the Thirteenth Fairy. The 'Black Friday' version, anyway."

The Black Friday lowered her lids. "At least it's to the point. You have no idea what type of hell I've lived through because of Malfortuna... And I don't want to show you." Black Friday turned to look at something else, noticing that nothing was happening now that her mood lightened. "... I'm sure you'll find out, anyway..." Black Friday said as a crow suddenly appeared from out of her dark wing and perched itself onto her shoulder. "Any sort of superstition there is, I get power from. Crows are seen as bad luck, so I can summon them. Just like bats." Black Friday raised her fingerless gloved hands and wiggled her fingers, bats of darkness suddenly popping out, fluttering, then disintegrating.

The Black Friday shook her head. "I don't do magic. I have manna. Different." She didn't expect someone who didn't know or believe in what was mystic to understand the difference, but at least she mentioned it. Black Friday nuzzled her crow. "Yeah, well, enough about my tragic curse. You say you're the courier of this place? So what, you do deliveries?" Black Friday quirked a brow. "And... There is a guild... Of mailpeople?" That was a first. "... Is it a post office?"

The Black Friday opened her mouth and gulped down her crow, suddenly hovering into the air. "... I see. That's interesting. Can't say I'd want that life." Black Friday rolled her nonexistent eyes, a bead of sweat rolling down her head. "Then again... I can't say I want this life, either..." At the words spoken, the rug on the ground suddenly ripped, literally for no reason and seemingly without effort. "... It's better being simple sometimes." She sighed again. "Why were you sleeping here? Shouldn't you be out... Delivering... Stuff... Or something?"

The Black Friday was hovering around looking for something that didn't put her in a bad mood... Though, virtually everything put her in a bad mood. The dark fairy fluttered through the sky only to find that there were some people at the table where they sometimes gathered. "Great..." she said, her brow furrowing, "I'm sure THIS will go well..." she said sarcastically. Finding a nice spot on a tree branch she sat... And it snapped immediately, with Black Friday nearly falling to the ground. "... Furious."

The Black Friday's eyeless sockets widened as she was noticed, she raising her arms and waving them in front of her as she hovered up on her dark, tattered wings of broken energy. "No, no! That's fine! Don't--" But by the time she spoke such, something else started to happen. The entire tree -- as if it had suddenly been uprooted -- would tip, seemingly literally for no reason at all. It threatened to fall upon the large man, though probably not to his injury... Hopefully the tree was enchanted and would be put back into its place after some time. Black Friday didn't want to be known for being the death of anything else around here... Like she was pretty much everywhere else she'd been to.

The Black Friday looks away, rubbing her arm, "Yeah, that's usually how it works..." she'd say somewhat lowly. "Usually." She admitted that her 'Malfortuna' came back to bite her in the ass more than a few times in life, and though she'd gotten control of it, it still had a mind of its own when she visited other realms. It was because Friday's influence in other realms was significantly weaker, thus making her ability to control her power weaker, as well. "Thanks for asking." Her voice was monotonous, like some goth chick in a world of color. "... Some, uh... 'Bad Luck' befell that tree. Haha. Get it? Befell?" Friday coughed dryly. "... Ayup, that'll happen around me... I'm the essence of Bad Luck, itself. The Friday The Thirteenth Fairy -- Black Friday."
