Rainbow Bay

Shinrona appeared in a bright light from an open Dimension Gate portal in the sky, hovering down with a luminescent form. His golden hair fluttered lightly as he drew nearer to the ground, landing softly in a seat around the table of food. Once landed, all but his hair and skin became blackened, revealing the true nature of his jacket, shirt, pants and boots. When the light completely faded from him, a glowing halo could be seen behind his head, giving an angelic appearance despite the darkness of clothing. This was Shinrona, who hailed from the Veritas, and was visiting the Rainbow Bay for a bit of relaxation and fun.

Shinrona chuckled a little, ready to explain. "As true as that may be here, I am from a different dimension... Though, even there, I am the ONLY Crystal Dragon... Even my daughter is not a Crystal Dragon, though she inherited my Dragon Blood. She is a Black Dragon, as I originally was. But that was also when I was not an angel. So you can consider me a real gem." Shinrona placed his hands in his lap, looking at the cute ears of Sibyllae. "Hello, cute critter! Happy you decided to join us! I hope the food tastes good!" He laughed again, tenderness in his eyes as he gazed at them both.

Shinrona faded into reality sitting in the same spot he'd been in before, seeing that the two creatures from before were still here. He didn't say anything, but he smiled.

Shinrona blinked as he listened to the conversation. Apparently, there was something the matter. He'd been perusing the Bay, shifting in and out of reality, never having left to go back to his home dimension. He didn't expect to see the same beings here. But there was another new one... He remained quiet, observing carefully.

Shinrona noticed that one of them spoke a new language. He found it fascinating, and when it was heard, his halo atop his head would glow, then become transparent, revealing that it was made of several archaic runes. The runes translated the foreign language so that Shinrona could understand -- the angel's means of foreign communication. If he spoke, it would be in their language, but he could already tell that they didn't want him to know what they were talking about... So he smiled and pretended he didn't.

Shinrona shed a tear at the happy ending. He said nothing and simply watched, but he was happy that the critters were getting along famously. His tear was crystalline, and there was only one, and when it hit the ground, life flourished; a special crystalline flower bloomed whose iridescence gleamed in the light of Shinrona's halo.

Shinrona faded into the background, blending into reality. It seemed like he hadn't been noticed at all, which was a good thing. It was good that he didn't say anything. Though his body faded into the reality of this world, his eyes hovered in place, gleaming like the crystal flower on the ground. His halo became translucent, revealing that it, too, was made of crystal.

Shinrona shed another tear, seeming to become emotional when things were in harmony. He would disturb not the harmony, but his single crystal tear dripping hit the crystal flower, causing it to glow slightly and grow a bit. Shinrona closed his eyes and let them disappear along with the rest of his body, halo inclusive.

Shinrona thought their lifestyle was interesting. He would hover above the area, completely invisible, and float over the critters as they did their doings. He figured, from all of the data that he collected as Tabrynth -- as well as his variable other forms -- he would not intervene, but simply watch over them to avoid scaring them. That is what angels did with humans, anyway, so there was no difference with other life; all life was equal.

Shinrona saw that the critters were going underground. Invisibly, he made a gleeful gesture with his body as he floated toward the ground, blending into it seamlessly as he'd done the reality. One with the earth, he could see, feel, and hear properly through it, as he WAS it. They wouldn't be able to see, feel, or hear him, but he could them. He even felt seismic waves. Once they all entered, he'd continue silently observing them.

Shinrona wondered why the critters were so overly cautious of everything and everyone... Had they truly been scarred so much? From Shinrona's gatherings about the Rainbow Bay, it was supposed to be a haven of sorts, but everyone seemed to hold a level of fear and trauma that made it seem more like a refugee camp. This made Shinrona sad in his heart. He was determined to heal the folk of Rainbow Bay, and this oversight he was doing concluded it.

Shinrona thought, 'Sekas? I've heard that name before...' as the critters were talking. In his form of the Tabrynth, he had gathered data on the 'Sekas' and found that creature to be just as hostile and frightful as all of the rest. Judging from how they treated outsiders universally, it wasn't abnormal, but it seemed like that one was worth investigating later on...

Shinrona was unsure about why there was drama at all in a place that was supposed to be peaceful. Things like that even somehow made their way into the Veritas, too. Having studied phenomena such as that for years, he was concerned about the cause of these events and how they had an effect on relationships as well as the environment. He did not understand how there could be hostility here... But, he was an angel. The differences between beings was immense. He would revert into the Tabrynth one day and gather more data.

Shinrona faded into the area out of thin air, his halo shining lightly and his eyes closed. His black jacket fluttered in the wind of his appearance. "Good day, all," said the angelic man.

Shinrona chuckled a bit, his half open crystal blue eyes shimmering in the light. "No, I have been here for days. And multiple times, I might add, in my variable forms." His halo glowed, as did his face when he spoke. "I know of you, yet you've not met me in this form of mine -- as an angel. I am Shinrona. You are acquainted with my familial guardian spirits, Taomin and Magnus Ignis, are you not?"

Shinrona smiled as he was recognized. "Good to see you again, Ramiel." Shinrona noticed that their speech was disturbing the dragon, and he felt a little bad. He chuckled apologetically, then continued to say, "Ah! What a pleasure to meet someone else in relation to you! You've met my relatives, after all." Shinrona would observe the dragon, smiling warmly, his halo radiating a warm and welcoming aura. "I'd not wish to wake the dear, though..."

Shinrona nodded his head, crossing his arms over his chest. "Ah, makes sense. I am also a dragon, myself, so I understand what it is like for one to have good rest." Dragons were ancient and powerful, but to recover such power required quite a bit of rest -- hence sleeping dragons in various stories and fables. "She seems friendly enough," Shinrona said. "Hello there! I am Shinrona! Nice to meet you."

Shinrona closed his eyes and meditated, his halo glowing brightly. It released pleasant waves of warm and healing energy, of which to attempt to soothe the dragon and ease the situation. He knew first hand what a dragon's anger was like. Before he was an angel, he was indeed a mutated human-dragon hybrid. He would take the unspoken approach to dealing with the minor irritation, attempting to placate the dragon.

Shinrona's radiation did not stop, as he was in a meditative state that harmonized with the environment. He was peacefully synchronized with nature, itself, and around him, flowers would grow and bloom. When he opened his eyes, he saw that the dragon was happy -- he felt it first, actually -- and that Ramiel was taking care of the situation. Yet, he had to ask... "I suppose she is not fond of newcomers, either? Many people here... Are not." His last sentiment seemed to bear more weight to it.

Shinrona's smile seemed to fade slightly, and his halo stopped radiating, falling to a steady glow. Shinrona was silent for a bit, but eventually, his smile grew and he said softly, "... It's me. They don't like me." He sighed, but his smile was still on his face. "I have spoken to many in numerous different forms of mine, and even when I am peaceful and civil, it seems as though the scars and wounds of the people who are already knowledgeable of each other here... Are unwelcoming." He shook his head. "But I'm sure it isn't like that for all newcomers. Just me."

Shinrona blinked absent-mindedly. "Heavens, a number of people, in my various different forms. All of their names escape me, as there were so many, but... I will tell you those I recall." Shinrona's halo glowed more brightly as he thought. "Hm... Sekas, Nikki, Zoe... And some whose names I never actually got." He tapped his chin. "No matter how polite I am, everyone is defensive about literally everything I do. Perhaps, because I do not look like them?"

Shinrona's eyes opened wide as the dragon came to him suddenly, his face seeming shocked. His expression soon became tender, however, and his crystal blue eyes illuminated. "Why, aren't you sweet...?" Shinrona shed a single crystalline tear that hit the ground and caused a crystal flower to bloom nearly instantly. The jacket on his back suddenly expanded slowly outward into large, black, draconic wings, which he would arc over the area. Shinrona listened to Ramiel, chuckling lightly. "I suppose you are right. This form yields results. However, ironically, it is one of my servants that has had the best luck with everyone here," he'd say, petting the dragon with even strokes.

Shinrona made a noise similar to a trill with his own throat, his halo spinning and glowing brightly. "You are kind, little one. I thoroughly enjoy your company." He looked up to Ramiel. "I can send my servants to intermingle with the locals, but it defeats the purpose of my getting to make new friends, which is all I ever wanted. I become Tabrynth to gather information, but when not in crystal form, the Tabrynth is a shifting variable."

Shinrona happily bade the dragon off as he returned his attention to Ramiel. Before he could finish his conversation, the Fae from before -- Nikki -- had appeared! "Oh, hello there!" Shinrona exclaimed in surprise. "I hope our interaction is more pleasant this time." He chuckled to himself, plucking the crystal flower that was birthed of his crystal tear, presenting it to Nikki. "This is one of the people I've met here," Shinrona said to Ramiel.

Shinrona could see the blushing from Nikki and he looked at her tenderly, placing the flower before her. "Pardon my intrusion, but your description sounds familiar to me... As I've met a kitsune here beyond one of my guardian spirits." Shinrona thought that she was rather kindly, however. "Zerinae, I believe, if I am not mistaken."

Shinrona was happy to feel the pleasant energy emanate from Nikki, and he laughed happily. He was happy that things were going better than when they first met, though he couldn't blame her, given her past. He wouldn't bring it up, but be ever mindful of it. "Well, I certainly hope you get to the bottom of it," he'd say, retracting his giant dragon wings and folding them back into his jacket over his skintight attire.
