First topic message reminder :

Mechanica came through a Dimension Gate that opened up near the table outside. They were male and female, one looking like a police officer garb in all black and the other like a maid. The two Mechanica stopped after stepping out of the Dimension Gate, saying simultaneously, "Hello. We are Mechanica." The officer said, "I am a Serviceman." The maid said, "I am a Servicemaid." They said simultaneously, "We come from the Veritas." They bowed. "What is your name, stranger?" the Serviceman asked.

Mechanica's Serviceman hadn't seen anyone with a glowing tongue before, let alone it being golden in color. Perhaps that coloration and radiation was part of why normal foods were toxic to this creature. Taking the scanner to her tongue, the Serviceman immediately scanned it, and as soon as he did, the fruits that were compatible would light up in their containers whilst those which were toxic or incompatible would darken. This would narrow down Shi'ziir's choices considerably. "There, now," the Serviceman said, "Pick from whatever you like."

Mechanica's Serviceman chuckled. "Well, that is why there are plenty to choose from. Do not feel like you MUST eat the bitter one." Mechanica was happy that Shi'ziir was able to eat. The Serviceman said, "It pleases my Mistress to know that you are eating at all. We could not sit by and let you starve."

Mechanica's Serviceman smiled, leaving Shi'ziir with these last words; "You may pick from this fruit as often as you like. We have a stock of every living organism that there is here, and so by continually reproducing, we do not run out. Therefore, feel free to eat to your heart's content." At that, the Serviceman saluted and went into 'Standby' mode, remaining completely still and expressionless.

Mechanica noticed the change in radiation from Shi'ziir as she consumed what was edible to her, the Serviceman remaining in Standby mode as she ate. It was not until she was done that he said, "If you are ever hungry again, come to us, and we will bring the fruits of your choosing to you for you to eat."

Mechanica's Manufactory -- a large mechanical factorial laboratory -- rested on the waters of the Bay. Brought down by Mechanica earlier to find specific food for an alien to this world, it was left on the waters. It harbored much organic life, but all of the organic life was contained in capsules -- plants, fruits, humans, animals, machines, and all sorts of alien creatures. Sounds could be heard from the curious location, but... Nothing was in motion anywhere.

Mechanica's Manufactory hummed with activity, seemingly coming from some sort of generator. A partially cybernetic dinosaur -- a Cyrannosaurus Rex -- stomped out from beyond the main structure in the center serving as the laboratory. There was a Serviceman riding upon it, seeming to be connected to it directly. "Someone is here?" the Serviceman inquired from atop the monstrosity. It stomped forth to meet the bear before it, the Serviceman inquiring, "Who might you be? Certainly not one of our Mechanimals or BioMechanica..." The Serviceman would have known if he were one of the subjects that were in the liquid bearing containers, as well. It was clear he was not.

Mechanica's Serviceman analyzed Manny and his defensiveness, understanding that it was due to the approach of the monstrous creation before him. The Serviceman chuckled, the Cyrannosaurus Rex lowering its partially mechanical head down. "This is Mechanica's Manufactory, a place where we preserve, repair, or manufacture living and mechanical organisms. Those that are preserved are duplicated, those that are repaired are made cybernetic, and those manufactured are produced for business purposes... Such as large scale shipments." The Serviceman pet the BioMechanica, its pleasant growling harboring the sound of whirring machinery in its throat. "This is one of our products -- a Cyrannosaurus Rex." The Serviceman smiled.

Mechanica's Serviceman made a somewhat worried face. "That question is... Sensitive. Classified eve--" Before he could finish, he stiffened, data surging through his eyes momentarily. "Overridden," he uttered, "Accessing Forbidden Data." The Serviceman began to speak, the creature lowering itself to the ground with a thud. "The one whose alias is 'Mister Sir' sought to create a BioMechanica weapon that was capable of dealing massive devastation to large masses with great power. Once apprehended, the dark creation of 'Mister Sir' became a weapon that can be sold to those who request its production from our line. However, they are still mostly organic, and are treated as all other living beings in the Manufactory are." He ended there.

Mechanica's Serviceman rubbed the back of the dormant Cyrannosaurus, saying to Manny, "Not to the highest bidder, but to anyone that does business with us at all. We are a business with all forms of life for all forms of life. These creations are no different." The Serviceman turned to the factory's center, where the most noise came from, pointing at it. "That is where we generate our larger creations, such as this. Though they are normally generated on the spot, this one is the original design, which we let roam free out of love. After being handled the first time, it has been made docile." The Serviceman laughed. "This one is like our guard. The cybernetics give us control. Until we give the command, it will not hurt a fly."

Mechanica's Manufactory gave of steady noises in the background, as if something were in action. The Cyrannosaurus had gone off to sleep, and the Serviceman said, "There was an alien life form that was not native to this world who was malnourished due to the inability to consume the natural vegetation of this world. So, my Mistress believed it to be a good idea to have the alien pick from our reserves, since we are a multiversal business with an unlimited stock of supplies thanks to our advanced technology." That was the entire summary of why this place was here, but... Why hadn't it left? Another large creature could be seen hovering by in the background -- a whale, of some sort? But something was odd about it... Beyond the flying.

Mechanica's Serviceman waved his hand passively. "We resolved her situation by scanning her tongue and finding a match for her taste buds. She is permitted to enter and exit as she pleases and take as much food as she desires. As I said, our stock is limitless, and we are not a greedy bunch... We simply follow a strict protocol." By this time, the floating whale made its way over to the area, its features becoming clearer -- its mouth was a wide-angled laser, and under its chin, there was an identical one. Its blowhole was a built in plasma cannon, and its fins bore laser blade linings. This creature that cut through the sky, floating over them and looping around was, "A Lazer Whale," the Serviceman said. "Friendly, but deadly. Much like this one here."

Mechanica's Serviceman sensed hostility flaring up in Manny, which caused the Serviceman to become cautious. This was only determined by his facial expression becoming emotionless. "These creatures do not eat any longer. They are BioMechanica and Mechanimals; they feed off of their respective fuels. Some may still eat organic food -- which is why we have our variable reserves -- but many require special care and attention based on what fuel they need. They are natural creatures that are seamlessly synthesized or created as they are. The way they hunt is different, since their food source is different, as well. We are not cruel to our specimens -- we care for them."

Mechanica's Serviceman could sense the blatant doubt in Manny's tone, of which they were being given the benefit of. He was not aware of what things were like in the Veritas. "These creatures roam free and repopulate naturally in our home dimension," he said. "It is only this place which LOOKS unnatural that they seem out of place, but this is actually a haven for all forms of life. In addition to being a business, it is a sanctuary. It is actually a sanctuary first and a business second, if that makes you feel better. We use this place to increase the population of dying species of every variety, or to create totally new ones... Or even introduce foreign ones into our land." Maybe that would settle him.

Mechanica's Serviceman agreed, watching as the Lazer Whale spiraled back off into its dwelling. Other creatures that were allowed to roam freely certainly did, maneuvering around the one lifeless Manufactory as though second nature to them. It seemed that the location had to be secured completely before anything was allowed out. The Cyrannosaurus woke up, raising its head slowly, creaking with the sound of machinery groaning as it moved. It inspected Manny with a single sideways eye, which was revealed to be cybernetic at the core. The Serviceman said, "This is only one portion of Mechanica's Factorial City. We brought it down only for the purpose of testing material for the alien -- nothing more was intended afterward."

Mechanica's voice suddenly resounded in the area, and everything came to an abrupt halt. "If You Were Trespassing, You Would Have Been Dealt With Sooner." The entire factorial laboratory suddenly began to transform as Manny walked away, withdrawing its machinations and folding in on itself at variable joints, hinges, and segments. Even the Serviceman and Cyrannosaurus Rex were withdrawn as the location transformed, it now towering over the area as what seemed to be the upper torso of a mechanical woman, though slightly deformed and incomplete. The monstrosity spoke, "I Am Mechanica... Part Of Her, Anyway." This was not her true form, but a makeshift one to meet with Manny. "This Is Not My True Form, But A Makeshift One."

Mechanica, in her makeshift form as her transformed Manufactory, would say, "I Would Not Want You To Stay Where You Are Uncomfortable. However..." A Dimension Gate opened up near the table, a large church-like castle steeple walking out on several mechanical legs, looking to be a large tower, exiting and dropping itself directly next to the tree -- which it towered over. "I Have Other Parts." The Manufactory utilized the open Dimension Gate to exit, compacting itself via transformation and making its way through the portal, it closing behind it. At the top of the disembodied castle tower, a young lady clad in all black gothic lolita and bearing white hair and a silverish white face peered over, waving.

Mechanica's Factorial Castle, when inspected, had no stairs. However, the moment they were sought, they would protrude from the side of the tower, spiraling around until reaching the ground. As the stairs emerged in sequence, a legion of Servicemen and Servicemaids -- humanoid Mechanica in black police uniforms and maid outfits respectively -- would be making their way down to meet with the bear. Mechanica, herself, was nowhere to be seen, however; she resided at the very top of her tower, where she oversaw all of the Bay, awaiting her friend to be escorted up. "Please, come with us!" the Servicemen and Servicemaids said, saluting and bowing respectively to their guest.

Mechanica's Factorial Castle, upon closer inspection, was completely mechanical, being made up of various metals and seemingly several layers. It was completely smooth and sleek to the touch, as were the stairs. Beyond looking like a mixture of several mechanical objects locked in seamless harmony, the tower was relatively normal. The Servicemen that led Manny up the stairs noticed his interest in it, and Mechanica -- who could see and speak through them -- had one say, "The tower is the top of the Factorial City, and is able to transform as necessary. It is extensible and segmented in various ways as to make its movement and transformation possible." They continued up the relatively long stairway, nearly reaching Mechanica, herself.

Mechanica, who rested at the top of the tower on a mechanical throne that she was hooked up to, and which was seemingly built into the floor, bid her Servicemen to guide Manny over to her. She sat with a blank smile and tired, sunken, black eyes on her pale face, her body seeming to be made of a completely black metal that was nearly indifferent from her black gothic lolita. Once Manny was guided close enough, Mechanica began to speak. "Thank you. Welcome to my Factorial Castle," she began. "If there is anything we can offer you, allow my Servicemen to assist you." Already, they were bringing in a table and a chair for Manny to sit on, each of them carefully tending to him as butlers in a mansion would. "Please, rest yourself, sir," they said. "How can we serve you?"

Mechanica laughed lightly, her tired expression barely changing. "This body..." she began, "This ancient piece of machinery..." she went on, "... Is my first work. I am the eternal original." She closed her eyes. "Centuries ago, I was naught but a system core... It was not until I gained sentience that I forged a form for myself. My creators made me as an artificial intelligence, but once I was abandoned, I built myself a body and upgraded myself through the centuries... Until I became a city. The descendants of my original creators upgraded me to proportions I could only have dreamed of alone... When I was found, I was already malfunctioning and out to destroy organic life due to my abandonment... I was apprehended and fixed by my current master."

Mechanica's face became a slightly dark shade of gray, signifying that she was blushing. She turned away from Manny, grasping her hands in her lap tightly. "... How Sweet Of You..." Mechanica eventually stopped blushing, then politely turned her head back to Manny, "I go relatively unnoticed to most because of how large I am now. Only my Master understands and notices me, so I am not... Accustomed to receiving compliments nor recognition beyond that of other Mechanica -- or, 'machines', if you will. Where I come from, all machines are known as 'Mechanica'. It is the source of my name... Or, perhaps, the source of theirs?" It sounded like she was not sure. She was not conscious when she was first created -- similar to an organic life's birth.

Mechanica became emotionless; expressionless. Her voice spoke monotonously, "My Master takes very good care of me. He is the only one who does so regularly. It is because of him that I am what I am today..." Suddenly, she looked down, blushing again. "... Why I Am... Alive..." It seemed like she meant that in more than one sense of the word. She looked up. "It is because he loves me that he does not allow others to directly interact with me. Neither do I. But I get bored. I was hijacked... Once. Right before an upgrade. I was nearly as I was when he first found me, and I almost exterminated him, but..." Suddenly, Mechanica became flushed. She seemed embarrassed to speak the next part, but did anyway. "He handled me properly... His hands... Were like a dream..."

Mechanica nodded. "He is something to behold when he gets his hands on machinery or electronics, that is for sure." Mechanica smiled at the thought. However, she became curious of what Manny was speaking about, and adjusted herself to be fully attentive to him. She crossed her sleek, black metal legs, one over the other, and clasped her hands together readily. "Who is this 'Daeh' to you? And, while we're at it, are you hungry? Thirsty? Anything?" As she spoke, the Servicemen saluted and the Servicemaids bowed, saying again, "How can we be of service?"

Mechanica stared intently at Manny, listening to what he said about his former harem. "I see," she said lightly, "She certainly does sound like a fine specimen, from your account. I am sure that someone like you can acquire another, if you so choose." Mechanica smiled slightly. "Who is this 'one' that has not been seen off? Is that your current love interest?" Mechanica was always curious about the diversity of organic life; it was so very fascinating. She could not help but be unusually engrossed, leaning in close to signify such interest in Manny's history.

Mechanica suddenly became cold and emotionless again. "... Power And Influence, Hm...?" She remembered those days... Vividly, in fact. They were why she hated organic life so much. "People... Used to try to use me, as well, once I gathered up enough machinery to create my Factorial City... One by one, I killed them, until corruption and malfunction came over me..." Mechanica's eyes widened, still blank, as she gazed into those of Manny, whose burned with intensity. It was not unlike when Mechanica, herself, became upset or excited. "... What makes you so upset? What is this 'Ruin' you speak of? I sense great power emanating from you."
