He landed on his feet with a loud thud, befitting a man of his physical appearance. He hadn't actually fallen from anywhere, just appeared here from the portal, but it was very much akin to a jump to him. Disoriented, slightly, he held a hand to his head, "Whoa, I don't plan on doing something like that ever again." He murmured quietly to himself, gathering his bearings, before he looked around at the area where he'd landed.

Lifeless, for the most part, and quite barren, there seemed to be people at least. He was glad for that, even if many of the men were eyeing him as a threat and many of the women as a piece of succulent meat they couldn't wait to dig into. Maybe this was a mistake. He thought, but immediately pushed the thought to the back of his head. He felt like there was a reason why he'd chosen to come here and so he would find it and, as he turned around to stare up at the extravagantly gaudy hotel, the only beacon of light in this vast wasteland, El figured that this was the best place to look.

At the front desk, leaning back with legs up and crossed casually on the desk and eyes closed, a rather dismal man sat in the chair waiting casually for any customers to show up and name their price. He seemed to be dressed unusually well, despite his exceedingly dark and dreary garb... At least, for someone that was known to roam around Valparaiso. He either had a lot of power and money here or he was not from around these parts... Or perhaps, some sort of mixture of both. Regardless, he was the one who would be there to greet the new face that somehow showed up in the midst of the Forbidden Hotel. That, in and of itself, was enough to get him some attention.

"May I help you...?" His tone seemed proper and his words with full annunciation. It seemed for him to be an oddity in this place; an outcast that somehow fit right in... somehow.

There was no use sitting there and contemplating deeply about the decision, El had already come here and there was no going back. It was no different than making a decision on the battle field, something El had much experience in doing. With his head held high, as always, El approached the building before him and stepped inside, because of course he had been outside of it.

Before he could speak up, or even look around, he'd already been greeted by someone. El ignored him for a while, so that he could come completely inside the building and close the door behind like any polite person would do, and approached the desk to speak more formally. "If you think you can." He answered, casually inspecting the guy at the desk. He was dressed fairly sharply, at least compared to the people El had seen outside, and this hotel was much better than any of the other building surrounding it. El could only assume this man was in charge, or, at least, paid well by whoever was in charge.

"My name's El, I just came here for some wispy ghost like place with portals." El figured that wouldn't be much information thought, "I don't know why, I just felt like there was something here for me." His head was telling him that that sentence wasn't much better, but he chose not to say anything else. Just speaking alone was confusing even himself.

"Hmmm..." The man sitting at the desk lowered his legs and sat straight, folding his gloved hands before his face upon the desk, still not opening his eyes quite yet. "A place with portals, you say...?" He did not seem at all surprised nor shocked about what was said, though he could tell in the voice of the newcomer that he wasn't quite sure what happened nor why... Though, like he also said, he must have felt something within him leading him here. And honestly, whatever that may be, as long as this guy intended on using the services and not causing a ruckus, like some of the ruffians around here were known to do every now and then, he couldn't care less about the details. All that mattered was that he was here and looking for the special 'services' of the Forbidden Hotel.

"... Right then. I think I know exactly what you're looking for, my good man... That's what this place is for, after all... Hmhmhm." Behind the desk, he would slip his hand into the shadows, smiling slightly, "... One moment, if you please..." He opened his eyes abruptly, their intensity like that of a ruthless killer; the only evidence of such that could be found in his overall rather regal persona. They were sharp and slit, like a predator, and piercing red, like a ravenous beast. To see someone with such eyes and such a calm, composed demeanor was perplexing to most... But those that knew of him knew exactly why this was so. In a moment or two, he would snatch up the Escort of the hour from wherever she was and bring her to the front...

El nodded his head, glad that what he was trying to say had actually been understood by someone. El, personally, still couldn't fathom it, completely, himself, but it was much easier for him to keep a cool head than ask questions. He folded his arms, watching the man behind the desk and being reminded, by the man's eyes, of dragons back in his home world. El had never fought a dragon before, not that he could remember anyway, but he had heard many stories of them. As far as he could remember, they were suppose to be extinct, meaning this world was much more fantastical than he originally anticipated.

Before long, rising from a black pool as though being put on display on a stage... Was none other than the Forbidden Hotel's prized hostess, Tzita L'sia. Her eyes were sharp and menacing, clearly harboring some discontent for the events happening not only with Chusin, but also by how she was transported abruptly by Thanytoz without warning nor without her consent. Just because he could do stuff like that didn't mean that she enjoyed it.

With her cheeks puffed and her eerily glossy lips poked out into a rather foppish pout, she crossed her arms under her chest, perking up her already large and plump breasts harboring the same glossy sheen as her lips. She stuck her chest out haughtily and arced her back, shifting weight to her left leg and leaning slightly on the other, fitting the perfect look of a 'bad bitch with a bad attitude'... which, naturally, Tzita was and always had been.

"What the hell do you want? I was in the middle of something, you know..." It was clear that she was in a rather bad mood already... It was really irking her.

The vicious eyes of the man at the desk darted over to meet with the sharp glare of the clearly irritated woman, counteracting her glare with one far greater in irritation and intensity for her rather uncouth propensity... That he knew he shared with her when he wasn't keeping himself prim and proper, as he wished she would do before a potential customer. Surely, she would catch all of this with just his glare alone, before he would close his eyes again and answer her with no trace of anger in his regal tone, "... Yes, well. It seems like this young man here is in need of an Escort for the evening. I believe it would be right proper for you to show him a good time, yes?" He would direct his attention to El, the mysterious newcomer who said that, for whatever reason, he was attracted to this place. If there was nothing else to come to Deadman's Den for, it was for the excellent top notch, five star service that was provided...

"Seems to be a new face around these parts. Give him a warm Valparaiso welcome..."

Certainly El hadn't been expecting the sudden appearance of a woman, as irate and generally upset as any dragon of legend he'd been thinking about prior. Then again, El hadn't been expecting being whisked away from his home world and called to this planet for someone else's needs, or maybe his own wish, which was a fact that was still up for debate. It warranted a whistle from him, clearly impressed with the man behind the desk and his speedy service, even if this woman wasn't exactly what El thought he was looking for. She was quite stunning though, comparable to any of the queens that had asked for his hand and he denied for the sake of his duty, but El didn't pay her any mind.

He unfolded his arms, standing up straight and puffing out his chiseled chest while he adjusted the silver colored sword on his waist, running his long fingers along its hilt with the utmost delicate of touches. Durandal was much more than a sword to him, it was his partner and he took great care in treating it with respect. He become so precise with his hands, even with his cut physique, that he found many a woman drooling over the things they fantasized he could do with his precision. "Umm... excuse me sir, but I'm not looking for a lady of the night." He spoke up at last, placing his hands down on the desk before him, carefully of course, and leaning forward just a thing bit, "I thought there was something else here, something..." He couldn't help but trail off. El still wasn't sure what he'd been looking for regardless, but it sure wasn't a prostitute.

The eyes of the menacing man sitting in the chair were enough to sedate her... for the moment. She tried to challenge his gaze with her own, but found herself turning away after a while, like she'd lost some sort of unseen battle that went on only between the two of them. She then focused her attention to the man leaning on the desk, then abruptly parroted after him, "Something, huh?" She would, after he leaned over the desk, lean in close to him from the other side, letting her breasts spill over from her crossed arms and rest gently on the desk's surface. At the drop of a hat, her entire demeanor changed, and she would suddenly show a little more interest in the man... Especially after having a look at him up and down. "Maybe I can help you find it...? The services of this establishment are not Five Star for no reason, after all..." With a wave of her hand, slightly and subtly, as though not to be seen, a chain would extend from her palm and into her other hand, of which she would then solidify and yank after securing it in both her hands, showing the tension and strength of the chain's links, "... On the house, of course..." she winked at him after poking her lips out coyly as though inviting him to a kiss, "... In case you ever want to return after you've found this 'something' you're looking for, hm~?"

Everyone seemed so sincere in trying to help him, even with the shadiness of the general area this hotel was in. El wasn't stupid enough to trust them out right, but they both seemed like they actually wanted to help him. He wasn't sure why that disembodied ghost girl had gotten so worked up with warning him about coming here, the people seemed nice enough.

El smiled, genuinely at the woman, seemingly ignoring her advances and standing up straight after she'd leaned in towards him. The quiver of her luscious lips, and displaying of his voluptuous body, were definitely an attempt to tempt him, El had seen it before. "If you insist then, my lady, I'll ask for your assistance." El replied.

(The best part is, this song came on on my playlist as I wrote this post. xD It was too priceless.)

She returned the smile that was shown by him with one of her own, giggling lightly after he accepted her insistent offer. "Wonderful~. Now then..." She lifted herself upon the desk, letting her bum slide smoothly unto the surface in a fluid motion, it seeming to pop as she arced her body in a rather formal, almost practiced sort of manner and muttered in a seductive tone, "How May I Be of Service...?" She bat her eyes at him a bit before wrapping her chain up around her hands and binding them together, placing them in her lap cutely, like a little girl waiting for a treat... And licked her lips ever so slightly at him, swiftly enough that it wouldn't be noticed by anyone except for him.

"Well as I stated to our, mysterious, friend here," El motioned towards the man still sitting at the desk, who had become eerily silent. He could admit that it unnerved him a tad, but he continued as if it hadn't. "Me and Durandal," running his fingers along the hilt of the silver blade on his hip before resting his palm on its pommel, "came from some wispy space filled with portals to places on this planet and the apparition of a girl." El didn't feel as tongue tied as he had before, speaking much more eloquently and speaking with such an accent that, where ever he'd come from, he was raised among royalty, possibly born with a silver spoon in his mouth. If expressions serve to describe him well.

"She informed me of the reason I could have been pulled from my home world and I felt like there was something in this particular area of the planet that needed me." He paused and allowed that to hit for a while, searching this beautiful woman's face for any signs of understanding as well as the man at her side. Truthfully, he had not come to this hotel seeking a lady of the night, but a true escort could be of assistance to him.

"Afterwards I landed here, at the doorstep of this establishment."

"Oh really?" His story seemed to pique some sort of interest in her. She'd turn to look to Thanytoz, coming to a slight understanding of why she was called here by him. If he came out of the portals, then perhaps...

"... Well, considering the state of Valparaiso currently... I wouldn't be surprised if someone or something were in need of some sort of help..." she giggled to herself, shifting her eyes from side to side, "... But uh, maybe you could have been sent to help restore this crapshack, huh?" Granted, she wasn't really speaking of the Hotel, since it was recently restored thanks to some efforts undergone before... Her memory after the move was still very much intact, so she was keen on the workings and goings on of this world, as she knew Thanytoz was as well. He'd fallen silent, probably knowing that there was nothing else for him to say or do until directly addressed, since Tzita knew the business from here on out. They had some sort of underlying communication going on between them...

"... Tell you what..." she's say finally, sprawling herself gently over the desk, "Why don't I just show you around, huh? Give you that warm Valparaiso welcome?"

Though her looks suggested she wanted otherwise, the services of the Forbidden Hotel actually were different from what the man thought (even if he was quite right to think so). Tzita was just a rather flirtatious woman, even in her manner of assisting others in menial tasks that had nothing to do with those other services that she so very much enjoyed. It was just who she was.

El thought to himself for a moment, about the woman's words. He had always been known as a man of the people, and he found joy in the little things that he did for people, for no reward of course. It seemed like a viable reason for why he could have felt something from this particular area rather than the other four, who as seemed to fine and dandy in comparison. He thought for only a brief second on two of course, before nodding his head and folding his arms and rubbing his chin as he eyed this woman as she spread herself out across the desk top. As if she were the buffet of a hungry man returning home from war.

"If I could impose on your kindness for a bit longer." He replied, sounding as if he were asking her permission to show him around as she had offered. No matter how... free this woman seemed to be, she was still a lady in his eyes and he was taught to teach them all with the utmost of respect and courtesy. El was a knight, after all.

And who said Chivalry was dead?

She narrowed her eyes at him and his manner, finding it a bit suspicious, considering that he hadn't once seemed to be interested in this tasty morsel before him. A feeling that was both new and somewhat frustrating, she would rise up again and slide down from the desk softly, stumbling slightly as she bumped into him, nearly falling right into his chest. "Oh my~" she yelped, pressing her chest close to his with a great deal of her body weight before rather sharply pulling herself away once she regained her composure, "Clumsy me~. How embarrassing to slip up in front of someone so proper..." she turned her head shyly, gripping her chain tightly and biting her bottom lip, "... You're much too kind~..." she'd mutter flirtatiously through a giggle or two... '... seriously...' she added under her breath, completely unable to be heard.

"Well then... I guess I should be a good escort and get down... to business, huh~?" She started off toward the door, turning her head briefly to Thanytoz one last time before opening the doors to exit the Hotel and back out into the streets of the rough and tumble Lawless Land, "... Right this way~. Um... What did you say your name was, again?" If there was even a first time. The two hadn't been properly introduced. "Durandal, or something?" She knew the name of his sword before she knew the name of the man attached to it... Though, that wasn't uncommon for this one.

Of course was there in the split second he needed to be to catch her, with his hands placed firmly and squeezing on her hips, as she tripped and fell over, which was the reason why she'd fallen into his chest in the first place. He'd stepped back a bit since she'd sprawled herself out on the desk, but returned to a position to catch her in a fraction of a second. She probably hadn't noticed, but El wasn't so sure about the mysterious man, with eyes as focused as an elder dragon's and a demeanor to match.

Casually, the knight smiled inwardly at his actions and only nodded his head at her compliment before following her towards the door. He stopped at the threshold though and tapped his left breast the fist of his left hand before holding his hand, palm showing, out towards the woman. "The sword of silver at my side is Durandal. I am known as Elliott Faulkner of the Gaerean Kingdom, first of my name, but my friends call me El. As you may as well." He bowed his head, "And may I ask the same of you, Milady?"

She was intrigued by his rather elegant charm; clearly of some sort of high stature or royalty of sorts, as was apparent in his manner and his etiquette. Tzita was privy to these things as well, having had the same education in her life, yet choosing not to use it for the same purposes as he did. The man was interesting, even for a regal one, which was something she didn't see everyday... Hell, at all, rather, staying in Valparaiso. She couldn't say that it wasn't a nice change of pace...

"Tzita," she'd say with a smile, her eyes softening a bit, "... Tzita L'sia." That was all he asked for and that was all she'd give him; unlike this guy, she knew better than to just go spilling out all of her information to anyone and everyone around her... As he would soon find out in these streets. He may have been able to hold his charm, but could he hold his own where his charm would probably fail him? She may have been his escort and all that, but this land still was Lawless... And she was not held responsible nor liable for anything that could and may occur in their time outside... And neither was the Deadman's Den, for that matter. "Come on. Let me show you around... El." There was a hint of fondness that drifted from her lips like honey as she'd draw her chain to close and lock the doors behind them once they both exited the Hotel's premises. From there, she could begin the grand (or, not so grand) tour of Valparaiso.

As the two of them mingled amongst each other, Thanytoz remained silent for the entire time, taking a more pensive position on the entire scenario, simply listening and thinking deeply on the matters at hand, as he'd been doing before El's arrival in the first place. He listened to them with an acuity one would not believe he possessed from his rather stoic expression and closed eyes; in fact, to the untrained eye, one would believe him to be asleep rather than simply in deep thought. Every time Tzita looked to him, he would open an eye and connect with her gaze before closing it the moment she would turn her attention back to El, not saying a word. It wasn't until El caught Tzita with remarkable reflexive speed that Thanytoz took note of the man's battle-ready skill and keenness of eye. Though he didn't say anything, he still noticed, and knew that such would be useful for whatever may lie beyond the doors of the Deadman's Den.

He looked up to Tzita as she escorted him out, nodding his head at her as she looked back at him one last time, for whatever reason. It was only once he knew that they were completely gone that he would relieve his shiftlessness, partially opening his eyes and looking down at the desk,
"... So... It's starting, then..." The young man's story about suddenly falling into a portal was the most intriguing thing of all to Thanytoz, knowing exactly what that meant in terms of the Veritas as a whole. Despite being disconnected in law and rules, this place was still connected to a different degree, much like the other satellite land masses that were outside the jurisdiction of the Mainland law. He truly wondered what his purpose could be here... And if he would be the one to bring this place out of ruin.

However, Thanytoz also had another issue on his hand. Chusin. Whatever was afflicting her, which seemed to be some sort of Insanity, it was nothing short of exceedingly important to be taken care of with the utmost haste. He would definitely have to deal with her shortly in a place where he could actually see what it was that affected her. It could have very well been her Manna starting to churn within her and, due to her ineptitude in usage, was causing an energetic back up with effects like that on her being... But he couldn't be absolutely sure until he actually inspected her. If there were an Insanity outbreak in Valparaiso... Sure, it wouldn't harm the Mainland, or even get into the mainland, but it would still be bad nonetheless... Especially with all the people that were probably more susceptible to its influence, given their natural attitudes and the atmosphere of the land. This place was the most dangerous of all, in all honesty. Perhaps that was why he was so serious and silent... (10:31)

El couldn't help but smirk a little bit as he lifted his head, knowing that he'd only been given what he'd been asked for. El could read her coyness like an open book, but he chose not to show it. She withheld information because she probably knew something about this place that El didn't. He hadn't look around to see if anyone was listening in, but he probably would heard something if there was someone.

"As you wish, Lady L'sia."  El placed his hand back on the pommel of his sword of silver and followed after Tzita for a while before catching up and walking at her side. She was quite tall, not as tall as himself of course, but compared to a lot of the women of his home world. She had quite the exotic color of skin as well, El would be lying if he ever said he wasn't, at least, a small bit interested in her, even if only for how unique she appeared to him.
